Omg what a beautiful, breathtaking and wild ride!
This follows Kate and Landon, two best friends who go off to college together and become roommates. Landon has secretly been in love with Kate for six years and she is completely oblivious to the signs. After going on a date with one of Landon’s teammates she starts to notice that maybe her best friend is into her. Kate decides to push Landon’s hand to see if he does really care but will she lose him in the process?
But WAIT……
The author throws in a thrilling twist that keeps you glued to the page and on the end of your seat! I devoured this book and could not put it down!

I loved the way the author built up anticipation, tension, chemistry and angst. It was all there and I highly recommend this book to everyone!

This book was absolutely fantastic. But, do not let the cover fool you. This is not just a romance book. There is so much more going on that kept me on my toes. This author has a way with writing that pulls the reader in and makes them forget that they are reading. I just loved every single thing about this book.

I really enjoyed this book!
The first 80 pages the tension was TENSIONING!
Then, unexpectedly we get romantic suspense, which I love!
The way Landon patiently loves from the sideline is swoon-worthy.
This brought me back to my college days and all of those feelings you got when you really liked someone.
I really loved how current songs and events were put in the story!
The songs used, I could literally feel like I was right there with the characters dancing with them and feeling the chemistry.

Do not be fooled by the stunningly gorgeous cover of this book. I am sure like me you thought you were just getting a cute contemporary romance? Wrong. Think again. Kristina throws a twist into this story that keeps you on your toes.

This story follows Kate and Landon. Who are best friends. The boy next door if you will. Landon has been there for Kate through every single losers she’s dated and that’s hurt her and he’s picked up the pieces. But he’s kept to himself his feelings for Kate. Friendzoned. Her parents know it, his parents and family know his feelings. But somehow Kate just is oblivious to this.

They apply to the same college and get in, and of course see room mates. Landon is tired of being in friend zone but he doesn’t want to loose Kate. He would rather have her as a friend than loose her completely by confessing his true feelings. He wars with this back and forth in his mind. Their friends seem to see their chemistry and encourage this. Kate even starts to test things out and begins teasing Landon. Landon also begins teasing Kate. Just to test the waters.

But ultimately both are still single because neither have confessed cue the twist and I don’t want to elaborate anymore because I do not want to spoil the story for anyone.

If you are looking a best friends turned lovers, light suspense, spice, page turning twist to keep you engrossed in the story, than Shiver for Me deserves a place on your tbr.

Edit : I still think about Shiver for Me after reading it a year ago and it is a book I highly recommend to readers when wanting something new… with that say let me just take away the 4.5 cause clearly after a year it was a 5.

Cute, sappy friends to lovers that will bring all the butterflies to your belly! Gah, the orchard scene 😍😍 it has the perfect amount of sweet, spice, and even a little bit of a twist.

Kristina did an amazing job with this, and I never would have guessed this was her first book. Can't wait to see what she comes out with next!

I was 100% fooled by the cover lolol 😆 I thought I was getting a cute little romance, and instead I got hit with tension, angst, and a twist that had me yelling. Landon pining for Kate for years? Swoon😍 The slow burn was burning, and I loved every second. The vibes, the music, the college setting it all felt so real!! I devoured it!! Way more than just a romance. Read it! PERFECT 🤌🏼

Where do I even start? From the character development, friendly and saucy banter, to the detail and twists. I was captivated the entire time, feeling all the emotions along with the characters and couldn’t wait to pick my book back up each moment I had available.

Proud childhood friend

Finding out that one of your childhood best friends wrote a book....amazing. Falling in love with the characters and thoroughly enjoying the entire thing (start to finish) .... priceless. I know this review is a little late. Life got in the way, but I wanted to make sure I gave it the time and thought it deserved.

I’ll admit, I picked this up because of the gorgeous cover, and I thought I was diving into a sweet college romance. What I didn’t expect was the emotional twist the author threw in, which completely surprised me!

This story follows Kate and Landon, best friends turned roommates, as they navigate friendship, love, and the complications that come with it. Landon has secretly been in love with Kate for years, and watching their dynamic unfold—with plenty of tension and slow-burn angst—will keep readers turning the pages.

It’s got heart, longing, and a twist that definitely adds some drama. A quick, entertaining read with a lot of feels. Deinitely more than meets the eye!

Best Friends to lovers, 4/5 🌶️, she’s an art student, he’s a baseball player, they’ve been friends for 6 years and he’s been in love the whole time (she’s a bit thick in the head). They room up during college and sparks finally start to fly. Their families and friends are all ecstatic for them. Only one person isn’t and he makes their lives a living hell. I was on pins and needles. Amazing debut by indie author Kristina Brand. Contemporary romance isn’t even my normal go to but i devoured this book! 5/5 ⭐️’s!

This was my first book by Kristina Brand and I loved it so much I immediately read her entire Ridge Lane series next.

Landon and Kate’s friendship was so sweet, but I couldn’t wait for them to finally get together!!! When Landon finally took a chance and told Kate, “I need you,” I knew it was ON!!! They were on fire!! And the mouth on that man is so hot! Kristina can write some spice!

Just beware. There aren’t any trigger warnings or content warnings, but just know: the book does NOT stay syrupy sweet for long. It actually ends up being a dark romance (not between the MCs) with a stalker twist. It kept me on the edge of my seat.

What a wild ride! I loved it, and I will read everything she writes. Looking forward to her future projects!

Absolutely amazing! This is by far severely underrated and needs to be put onto everyone's TBR. I have no idea why it took me so long to read this, but I will say before I even finished it, I went and purchased every book out by this author. This was packed with so much angst, tension, spice, but not only this, it had a plot twist that I did not see coming. It had me on the edge of my seat and I could not put this down until I had it finished. The writing was beautiful and was extremely addictive, which also had many of our favorite books, tv shows/movies which only made reading this so much more enjoyable. I absolutely swooned over Landon and his obsessive yet protective side over Kate. But my favorite to this, has got to be the way it ended. I loved every bit of this and will for surely be recommending this for years to come.

This book just didn't work for me. I had a hard time switching back and forth from all the sex to a story about a stalker. One minute Kate is terrified, and the next she & Landon are so horny they can't keep their hands to themselves and having sex in public. I think I could have gotten over that part if the stalker parts weren't so dark (they really didn't have to be). And there was no build up to Trevor being so evil, so that part was hard to believe. So, was the fact Trevor wasn't kicked off the team immediately for his texts, or the fact there were cameras in the training room for the first incident but not for the second? Or that Kate didn't immediately block Trevor. Everyone blocks everyone these days! LOL Then the ending was just too unbelievable.
