Rate this book
When the sun diminishes and darkness begins its reign, we become introspective storytellers. Every culture has their own winter lore and in the pages of Tales of Winter Shadows some old tales take new roots.
Love is eternal, but it must change with circumstances.
Certain holiday traditions are crucial to observe.
The solstice battle comes down to a grieving daughter.
A young woman follows a single light through darkness, toward her future.
Reverence, even in the face of hunger, is rewarded.
And a neglected girl finally finds the love she longed for.
With contemplative poems that move us into the winter gloom, promise the changing seasons, recall those we’ve lost and wait patiently for the inevitable thaw.
Keep warm until the sun reclaims the days.

This collection is very descriptive stories about urban legends of the December Solitice. One of my favorite stories was The Whispers of the Woods. It's about the Oak King and Holly King.
