I adore how this author writes her characters. Her stories turn into something you can't wait to end because you're DYING to know the ending while also dreading the end because then it is over.

The poor MCs keep kicking ass, solving problems, making the best of things, falling apart and coming together in an attempt to save ALL people of ALL races. Something humanity should really try striving for.....

There were two twists at the end I truly did not see coming!!! I cannot wait for the next book and desperately hope things work out.

I think this series is for anyone who loves fantasy, a slow-burn, longing, anticipation, enemies to lovers, character growth and a male MC that would burn the world for his woman.

It makes me think of Raymond Feist's books. Not that they're the same but the world problems are similar-ish.

Omgosh, this just keeps getting better and better. The world building is phenomenal. The description pulls you into this world with these amazing characters. The twists and turns contribute to get even more intense. Just when I think I’ve figured it out, it goes in another direction. This is such an amazing story. Seeing Kane and Deidre’s growth has been fantastic. I truly can’t wait for the next one.

I love this series! I loved the tension, betrayal, and healing of all the characters (it’s my favorite part!!!!!). Lots of adventure in this one and the morally black/ grey MMC made me swoon. I liked how this Fae book isn’t like any other Fae book I’ve read; it kept me glued to the story. 5 out of 5 stars.

Eliza Tilton's Immortal Fae King series is an enemies-to-lovers story. A true one that shows how the scales can tip from hatred to love.

It's packed with heart-wrenching twists & turns, cliffhangers that leave you gasping (I'm looking at you, Eliza, after the ending I've just experienced), and emotions ranging from deep-seated hatred to something resembling love and understanding. And it pulls you in with each book more and more.

Queen of Tragedy, Book 3, was everything I was yearning for and more. I was glued to the pages, only coming to the surface to gulp some air and return to Kane & Deirdre. And trust me, you will need air to breathe, because this third instalment will keep you gasping, turning, & tossing.

Deirdre may be a queen of tragedy to some, but to me, she is a person who is searching her own way and discovering who she is, probably for the first time in her life. And I loved being on this journey with you. But she isn't the only one discovering new pieces of her soul—Kane is right up there with her, experiencing emotions he never thought he would feel.

Oh, how I wish the world gave them more time to explore it all. But, alas, their path is much more sinister and packed with dangers. Still, amidst it all, the emotions shine through. And they always will.

Queen of Tragedy was oozing emotions from every page, and I was gulping it all down. The Immortal Fae King series is a must-read, and I can't wait to see what happens next. Be kind to us, Eliza, I am begging you.

After reading Queen of Betrayal, I immediately ran to read Queen of Tragedy. The Immortal Fae King series itself is a page-turner - even after reading the third book out, I’m not satiated!

Queen of Tragedy picks up where Queen of Betrayal left off, so definitely read the books in order AND read them all! Queen of Tragedy shows how Kane & Deidre begin to grow into their roles as husband & wife. Queen Deidre becomes more accepting of her role & King Kane sees the queenly qualities inside her while making space for their differences as rulers. I loved reading what Deidre thought of Kane & vice versa, the dual narrative really did it for me with the slow burn romance!

This book also features more of the Lich King, whose goals & desires are still murky. As more progress is made between Kane & Deidre, more progress is made with the Lich King’s army. He levels entire villages, but for what end goal? I won’t spoil more, but just know I am dying to read book four!

The Immortal Fae King series is perfect for those who enjoy romantasy novels with a slow burn. The series is also a true enemies-to-lovers, which I LOVED!

After reading this series, I will definitely be checking out more works by Eliza Tilton.

Another great entry in the series

I’m really enjoying this series and book three did not disappoint. The author does a great job of raising the stakes here, putting Deirdre and Kane in a high-pressure situation where they have to rely on each other despite all the tension between them.

The pacing is quick and the new threats introduced in this installment kept me hooked from start to finish. I loved seeing the growth in their relationship as they navigate some pretty impossible choices. It has the perfect mix of survival, magic, and that slow burn chemistry that makes this world so addictive.

This was a solid four-star read for me. I’m definitely planning to stick around to see how the rest of the story plays out.

Eliza Tilton knows how to build up tension, crafting magical worlds and especially her characters are unique and worked out in detail.

Kane would do everything for Deirdre. Eliza really shows us how he feels and makes this very believable and acceptable. It’s touching in more than one way.

I’m reading Eliza’s stories with awe and and curiosity.

This journey isn’t over yet, so looking forward to the next book in this series!.

Oh my goodness. This series continues to keep me locked in! Twists and turns filled every page, keeping me on the edge of my seat. As the plot thickens, the characters continue to grow and start understanding more between them. I am absolutely obsessed with this book, and I can't wait until the next one! The story just gets better and better. The slowburn enemies to lover story will drive you crazy, just when you think "okay this is it" there is another twist in the story. Love the characters and world building, adventure and danger is of the charts. I definitely recommend this book to urban fantasy lovers

Dierdre is the Queen of Tragedy, but it is not a tragedy of her choosing. The Lich King is after her and only he knows why. This creates tragedy in her wake and also everywhere she chooses to go. Yet she also comes to realize that this arranged marriage could work. Not only could it work but the love is building. She and Kane are good together - very good, this marriage has to work.

Unfortunately events are conspiring to end this union and any possibility of bringing the peace she is fated to source. In true epic fantasy fashion there is unlimited action. The Fae and Dragons are not enough. All the magical creatures are drawn into the battles. This builds to a dramatic ending that you won't believe until it happens.

If you favor epic fantasy with a driving storyline of love, mixed with enough action and battles to keep everyone on their toes - read this book. It's really good!

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author but wasn’t required to post a review. However, after reading it, I feel the need to share my honest, voluntary impression I had of it.

This series is just so good! It began with two people who were fated to be together to fulfill an ancient prophecy to unite all the kingdoms, Fae, Human and the rest but things started off badly as The Deathless One, King Kane kills Deirdre’s human husband- she married thinking Kane would never show up to claim her. Needless to say they were enemies from the start and through bad choices of hers, she takes things from him she can’t ever replace and left for a period of time.

However, there is a Fae who has become very twisted and now calls himself The Lich King and in this book he attacks both the human realm and the Fae realm doing immeasurable damage to both. Kane has kept track of his errant bride- his queen- and comes to her aid during one attack by the forces of the Lich King but is injured in protecting her.

This injury forces them to start really communicating and the feelings both have had towards each other start to shift. The shift grows as Deidre is stricken by a sickness from the Lich King and Kane sets out to save her.

The Lich King then attacks both the human and Fae centers of power leaving the human king and queen’s
status unknown but takes over the Fae center forcing everyone left to flee where more surprises await them!

There is so much depth and drama and adventure in this series that if you’re looking for a series which will grab you and keep you spell bound throughout look no further for here it is!

This series has it all: love, betrayal, death, compassion, humorous moments, gripping intense action scenes and adventures and two people and more who change from how it originally began!

It’s not over by a long shot either and I can’t wait for the next book to continue this exciting epic read and see what new dynamics are thrown into the mix as our two main characters have finally recognized they need each other and the animosity they’ve had is changing to something just the opposite of what it was.

I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend this series to everyone who wants to be caught up in a series so good you won’t want to see it end! You will miss way too much if you haven’t read the previous books so my suggestion is to get all three books and start with book one and read up to this one so you’ll be ready when the fourth book is released!

This series is so worth the time you’ll invest in reading it! I can’t praise it enough!

After she ran away from Kane once again, she went to her hometown village to meet her grandfather. Suddenly, the army of the undeath came and attacked the village. She didn’t ask for forgiveness and did her best for redemption. The King comes to the village and rescues her again after her fatal mistake. Now, how in the realm do they fix everything between them and save their realm at the same time?

Queen of Tragedy is the third book of The Immortal Fae King series. This time, I feel the dark element is decreasing and the relationship between Deidre and Kane is sweeter than in the previous books. It is an excellent development for their relationship. Deidre is making Kane grow and having more empathy. At the same time, Kane is more understanding, forgiving and accepting of who Deidre is, willing to give everything for her.

Yes, this book is more chill and relaxing than the previous books. The story feels like spring in autumn. Also, Deidre and Boots' interaction is hilarious! Like Fiona and Donkey from Shrek hahaha.

The story may show who the villain is clearly, but the motive of his wickedness is still abstract, adding more mysterious elements to the story and I like it! Plus, almost at the end of the story there is a jaw-dropping plot twist, and it makes me shocked!

However, there needs a glossary because this story starts to use some special terms, at least a glossary for explaining what it is (what is sidhe creature?). Second, a map is desperately needed because this story has more traveling adventures than the previous books. Although the combat fighting, tension and suspense are pretty short, it is still worth it to sacrifice this to see Deidre and Kane's cute relationship development.

The last words from my mouth at the end of this book were: “OH MY GOD, WHAT, AHHHHH.” Let’s just say I wasn’t expecting that to happen… well I was but not in THAT way.

This book shows Kane how strong and independent Deidre is as a person. She isn’t afraid to fight, can find food and herbs to heal wounds. It gives her a chance to really show off being a strong female character. We also see a vulnerable side of Kane now that he is mortal, wounded, and unable to just turn into a dragon and run away.

“I decided to come for you. I chose to save you. And I don’t regret any of it. I’d rather have you alive than live forever without you.”

We start off with Deidre leaving the castle and finding her grandfather. Feeling as though everything that happened in the previous book was her fault. Needing to escape and find comfort. Once she is back in the comfort of her grandfather’s home it doesn’t last long. Kane meets with the Lich King and that goes over like you would expect. Now that Kane is mortal he starts to have what the gentle parents call “ big feelings”.

The Lich King is up to no good in this book. He didn’t come to play nice and you see that follow through the book. Zombies, lichen, disease, and learning of his new knights. There is so much to absorb in every chapter. Kane is learning the hard life of being mortal. Thankfully Deidre is by his side through this book.

I’m so deep into this world that Eliza has built. Each chapter has something new to hold your attention and keep you wanting more. The ending had my jaw on the floor.

The story only grows richer and more absorbing in this installment. The previous book closed on a stunning twist, and now we finally witness the characters grappling with the consequences as they adjust to their new, fractured reality. True to form, they’re separated once again at the beginning—setting the stage for parallel journeys that add tension and momentum to the plot.

At long last, we catch a real glimpse of the Lich King, the looming force of dread who has haunted the series from the shadows. His motives remain shrouded in mystery, but the veil begins to lift as subtle clues and chilling revelations surface.

This book also widens the lens on the world itself: new landscapes, new allies, new threats. With each chapter, we’re introduced to more of the realm’s depth and complexity, gaining a clearer sense of the stakes and the intricate web holding everything together.

Queen of Tragedy, the third book in the Immortal Fae King series, was another win for me. It opens with Deidre blaming herself for Kane losing his immortality, so she sets off to find her grandfather—and ends up under attack by lichen monsters. Kane shows up to save his queen, and the action never really lets up.

The relationship between Deidre and Kane grows stronger and more believable with every chapter. Deidre is now "his thorn" no longer little!

There’s a real sense of them coming together to try to save the realm from the Lich King and his thirteen knights, who obey only his will. We still don’t learn much about the Lich King’s motives, which only adds to the mystery and keeps me excited for book four.

There are some darker moments when Deidre and Kane help King Henry defend his people, and the battle scenes are big and intense.

The worldbuilding is excellent—immersive and easy to picture—and the emotional beats land well.

And then—watch out for the cliff hanger. I did not see that coming at all.

Five stars from me. I can’t wait for book four.

Loving the progression of the story and both Deirdre and Kane’s story. They have a very tumultuous relationship and you are rooting for them individually but also as a team.

Taking some space Deirdre takes off back home not telling the king. A much needed reset and to ensure her grandpa was safe. I was excited to get more of Deidre’s grandpas background too that made me so happy when we met up with him. Oh and Boots was there love a good animal companion so good to see him again!
But like all good fantasy books there is so much more that goes down in this book! I was in the edge of my seat for some parts and blown away by the twists. I’m loving this series so much.
With this only being the 3rd book I have no idea where the series is going and I’m so excited to just be along for the ride.
I will however have to reread these all together when the series is complete to get the full picture all together and reunite with these characters from the beginning I love them all so much!.

When the title of the book is chewing on the scenery, not to mention the blurb, you know you're in trouble. And I'm feeling a little cranky. I thought... Trilogy. I could do that. I didn't know that I was signing up to a Raymond Feist-like tour de force. Not sure that I can hold out til the prophesized HEA, or the alternative. Let Dierdre and Kane off each other. In bed. Out. I'm thinking poison in the whine (no, that is not a typo).
Heavens help us, Kane is 'developing feelings' in this book. He's 'confused' and queue Alanis Morissette, your relationship is definitely.... ironic. Dierdre is growing as well. But to me, it's more like... running away.
There's twists and turns in spades. A few surprises. But do I even care if these two dunderheads get HEA'd? Good question. Gonna have to think on that. Abandoning a series half(?) way is just a waste of precious reading time. Shame, I rather liked book one.

Deidre and Kane are finally re-united. But it comes with a cost. Kane is no longer immortal and must accept the consequences. This makes him vulnerable now and both go into hiding but must flee from an attack quickly after arriving.

This is the moment I've been waiting for. Both finally spending some time together, starting to trust each other and seeing the potential in a future together. It doesn't come easy and that we do not go from one extreme to another immediately (and allowing time for it naturally to happen) is something I really enjoyed. We didn't simply gloss over the betrayal.

After a slowed down middle part, the pace starts picking up immediately. The enemy is attacking, and Kane has to re-thing his past strategy of not caring about humans. If they want to protect their world, they cannot do it alone.

The cliff-hanger at the end was amazing and I am looking forward to how the story continues.

I loved diving back into The Immortal Fae King series with Queen of Tragedy. Eliza Tilton has done it again with a story full of tension, adventure, and heart-wrenching decisions. Deirdre’s journey as Queen of the Fae is intense—every choice she makes has consequences that ripple through Kane’s kingdom and beyond, and I was completely hooked on watching it all unfold.

The tension and betrayal in this installment kept me on the edge of my seat, but what I loved most was the way the characters heal and grow. The morally black/grey MMC had me stunned while still making me question his every move, which made the story even more engaging.

There’s so much adventure, magic, and intrigue packed into this book. The world-building is rich, the plot twists keep you guessing, and the characters are layered and unforgettable. If you love YA fantasy with morally complex characters, high stakes, and a swoon-worthy romance, this series is for you. Four stars because it’s an incredible continuation and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Book 3 brings so many emotions into play - guilt, fear, longing, wariness, hope. Kane & Deidre reunited, but Deidre’s guilt drives her away to sort through her own feelings. The separation is brief, when conflict sends them fleeing to survive and work their way back to their home.
On this journey they have time together that they haven't had before; time to learn about each other, to see what could be between them, if given the chance. They will also face challenges, big and small, one a life threatening race against time, but also experience wonder and awe, admiration and respect.
Oh and dragons, well one specific dragon! There’s plenty of magic and adventure, the dual POV narrating of this story gives insight to how both characters feel and think.

An easy to read continuation of the series, very enjoyable.

When this ARC landed in my email, if I wasn't at work, I would have screamed. Thank you so much for sending me this ARC, I have been waiting for the book since I finished book 2 a couple of months ago.

This series is such a welcome to jump back in, too. I always feel like I'm part of the story, and I'm right there with the characters. Deirdre's resolve for all the races and hoe lines she is to everyone, it's such a quality to have in a very hard life. Kane, my grumpy shadow dragon baby, I like seeing his soft side. I will say, for the book, I truly enjoyed seeing vulnerability from both him and Deirdre. I was enjoying all the little moments with them and the MY WIFE SCENES!!!! *CHEFS KISS* The biggest moment for me was the last couple of chapters. I was SHOCKED with the plot twists AND THAT ENDING?! I fear I need book four ASAP.

This one was a wild ride!

I love how much healing there is between Kane and Deirdre. There are some beautifully cozy moments where they are able to rest, and actually have a chance to talk to each other. The slow burn is finally starting to bloom too. Being able to forgive each other and themselves for their past actions is difficult, but they do eventually get there.

The action and fight scenes are intense, and I was on my seat the entire time. Watching a dragon fly around and blast the battlefield is awesome!

That cliffhanger though, OMG. I cried in frustration, because it was so crazy and unexpected! I can't wait for the next book, I'm dying over here. I'm going to be thinking about that ending for a long while.

My heart is so happy that the main characters finally get to spend quality time together away from prying eyes in this book. After everything they have been through, they really needed the chance to rebuild their relationship. I am really proud of the FMC for having a little more integrity with her role as Queen of the fae. She’s finally taking it seriously and owning up to it. It’s been wonderful to witness her growth.

I can’t wait to see what kind of special powers the King and Queen will have when they join forces. It has to be special enough to take down the entire army of soldiers from the Lich King. I’m curious as to what turned the Lich King into this evil dictator. They say he used to be a fae. Only time will tell and hopefully book 4 will give us an explanation.

Book 3 in The Immortal Fae King series

This is such a great series! My only complaint is that there is so much time between the sequels that I forget some of what happened earlier in the storyline of the prior books. A quick recap before the first chapter of each consecutive book would be helpful to the reader because of the long length of time between books. This one certainly had enough action and romance building to keep my attention from start to finish. Kane and Diedre have great chemistry, and I look forward to seeing where their budding relationship takes them, not only as King and Queen, but also as a married couple. Bring on Book 4 and hurry!.

This book really hit the ground running and just kept going. It felt like Kane and Deirdre couldn’t catch a break. They are having to deal with the consequences of what it cost Kane to save her. That causes both of them emotional anguish and that hinders what their emotions want from each other. Deirdre wants to help everyone and Kane cares more about her than anyone else. This very much has i’ll let the world burn to protect her vibes. The twist at the end will have you gasping out loud. I definitely didn’t see that one coming.

If you like romantasy with dragon shifters, prophecies and magical creatures this is for you.
