Nengi and Elijah were the perfect couple for this enchanting story set in one of my Favorite fiction cities, Luxe Noir. Not familiar? Well, you are missing out on a great story and the writing of an equally great author. I love the African & African American connections that Ms Nwankwor makes in her stories. I highly recommend this story that is set around this special time of the year. How can you go wrong with a fake romance that gives off vibes of “Black love sprinkled with African spice”!

It’s ended way too early for me, but knowing Unoma’s writing there will be more to come .
This was a classic fake dating story for matured lovers . Elijah is the second son to the Westbrook family, they have deep ties in luxe noir . Nengi is the first female major of the town with a mixed African heritage. They both weren’t looking for love but when they got caught in the local news papers looking cozy . Elijah suggested to use it to both of their advantage.
This quick turned more intimate than they expected.
Such a heartwarming love story , prefect to start off my festive reads .

I really enjoy reading UN’s book but I absolutely LOVED this book! OMGGGGG, it’s sweeeeeettttttttt. Elijah is officially my book boyfriend and I really felt for Nengi and rooted for her the entire time. Seeing her relax and trust God makes me happy🥳🥳🥳🥳.

Well, now! This is my first time reading work from this author, even though I have several books from her! I will definitely be moving the others up on my list!! Wonderful story!

What a beautiful and romantic story! This author has hit a grand slam, a homerun with bases loaded. I'm a sports fanatic. The author has become a favorite and a "go to author" when I do not know what to read. I recommend this book or the various other books she has written. Her "black love" with the excitement of African zest! I could read endless books from this inspirational novelist!

I read this and I have absolutely zero regrets, because what!!..this book had the feels, chills and more. It put me in a Christmas mood. I loved the duo of Nengi and Elijah. Elijah was the perfect calm to her feisty nature. Each time he used the word 'connect with me', I liked it😄.

I enjoyed Nengi and Elijah's story. The fake situationship to a real relationship with the ease of an Alpha male made for a good. I also love visuals, and the Instagram post visuals and news articles were a hit for me! Love the writing style of this author. Christmas is my favorite holiday. Well done descriptions of all the Christmas decor.

This is my third trip (book) to Luxe Noir and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The town is engaging, especially at Christmas time. Nengi and Elijah getting to know each other after a rough beginning was great to witness. Fake dating for good reasons which leads to them developing into more made for an entertaining read.

Very cute romantic book! I loved how Eli took charge and forced her to let down her walls. And at the same time I just adored how she made him feel at home. They both became to open and vulnerable to each other. Even without spice this was so good. I would love a continuation of their story.

This book has all the feels and some!

It was great going back to Luxe Noir for the holidays in this one but seeing if from the point of view of those who organise all the festivities. In this one we meet the mayor of the town Nengi Touré and reclusive second son to the Luxe Noir royal family Elijah Westbrook.

These two are like fire and ice. One is completely in control of every moment and the other is laid back and we'll figure it out, which made for a perfect pairing! What I loved most about their story is that they struggled with real deep issues and complemented each other perfectly in figuring out how to fight those battles together!

As always the supporting characters were loveable as well and the family dynamic was spot on!

An enjoyable quick read. I barely put this novel down once I started it. Author kept story moving and engaging. First time observing author included naughty words in her novel. Hope that will not become the norm. Elijah Westbrook was a lovable character. Strong, bold, resolute, confident, protective, gentle, gentleman, and balanced. He brought to mind Jidenna Kalu. Nengi was a force herself. But under the management of a man like Elijah, one can give some and let her man with a plan lead. I got my fix of a HEA with these two!!
