Vendetta

Rate this book
Inspired by true events, Vendetta is the electrifying sequel to Apaches of New York, plunging deeper into the brutal saga of the city’s first Mafia family as they claw for power in a shifting underworld.

East Harlem, 1912. The Morello Family’s war with the King of Little Italy ends in a fragile truce, but peace is a pipe dream under Toto D’Aquila, the new Boss of Bosses. Ruthless and unrelenting, he’s rewriting the rules of New York’s criminal underworld—and crushing anyone who resists.

Restless in the quiet, the Terranova brothers stir up trouble beyond their turf. Vincenzo heads south of 100th Street, joining forces with Paul Kelly, a faded gangster hungry to reclaim his grip on the Bowery. Together, they wade into the blood-soaked Labor Slugger War, where gangsters, Pinkertons, and strikebreakers slug it out for the Garment District’s riches. Ciro, yanked from his boozy haze, roams the city to charm—and outwit—the underworld’s rising players. Meanwhile, Nick’s thirst for revenge festers, fueled by a lethal new ally who could finally settle his score.

With alliances crumbling and enemies closing in, the Terranovas must gamble everything to carve out their legacy in a city teetering on chaos.

This was a great follow up to the first one. I can’t wait to read the third!

I was pleasantly surprised to learn there was a sequel, because Apaches of New York was one of my favorite books.

I’m always scared about a sequel being worse but this one doesn’t drop off at all, and may even be better than the first

No spoilers !!!
