Loved this. Unquestionably a 5 star coffee table book.
I honestly think that even for people who aren’t loyal fans of JimBobs output there is a lot here - the memoir stuff to open each chapter is warm, funny, touching, honest and at times sad. I love how he writes, and the wordplay and punplay. It’s brilliantly packaged and put together too.
Very aware that some who aren’t fans of the music, or novels, just won’t get it - like my friend Phil. While this is a 5 star book for me, I know it wouldn’t be for Phil. Phil can be happy for me that I loved this so much, and stay in his lane.
Given the size, weight and cost of this one it’s unlikely that Phil will stumble across this one anyway.

Reflections and lessons learned/the content of this book made me feel…

…that lyrics do still matter to some people and bands! Just the analysis of a great back catalogue that I needed… definite fan

By equal measures fascinating, sobering, hilarious and illuminating. Jim, here’s to the next forty years.
