*Release Date delayed to December 18th.

"Be honest with me, Brian. Are we going on a cross-country killing spree?"

"I'd hardly call it a spree."

Brian Sloane is a pure psychopathic monster... to everyone but Mina.

She was looking for a good man to scratch a particular itch but instead ended up bought by the violent enforcer of a submissive training house.

Against all odds, the villain became her hero. She was the light to his dark until the lights went out, and the darkness inside her came out to play.

Now they're both killers, chasing the blood lust, running toward their demons, each hit job more dangerous than the last. From a twisted Easter hunt, to an explosive Fourth of July, from a deadly masquerade ball, to an even deadlier Krampus run, culminating in the Do or Die Valentine's Day Kill that will either seal their doom or their happily ever after.

Do killers even deserve a happy ending?

Having all of the Holidays in this beautiful boxset,is the perfect moment to follow Brian and Mina’s journey towards their own special brand of happy after again.
Because i can’t get enough of these two, they may be different than everyone else, they may be dark and dangerous, they’re special and i love them to bits!!

Update…Kitty added a bonus epilogue!
A véry interesting one….with a sneak peek into a character that i can’t wait to hear more of!!

Welcome to the Pleasure House,it’s só good to be back!
I’d been wanting to return, because there’s one couple that has a hold on me……
You know i’m talking about the House psychopath,Brian and his girl Mina.
From Broken Dolls…..you know that story!!
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
While you don’t necessarily have to read Broken Dolls first,it does add that bit of background that might make you enjoy the boxset more, but that’s up to you…..

The Easter Hunt
The first story,The Easter Hunt, forces Mina out of her hidingplace. Because Brian hasn’t returned home when he said he would.
And the other Masters don’t feel the need to look for him…..
Lucky for Brian,Mina does. Even if she knows she’s going break every rule he has in place for her.
Because she needs her Master!
Short, brutal and hot, this story has Kitty’s signature all over it.

Blowing Things Up
Brian and Mina’s Holiday Hits second story is called Blowing Things Up.
And it’s amazing!! I love seeing Mina grow into this kick-ass woman, allowing the darkness inside to come out and play.
It fits Brian’s,and he’s so proud of his girl…..he even teaches her a few of his “tricks”,and allows her to come with him on his next job.
Their dynamic is still shifting, and growing into something so strong,it’s beautiful to watch.
They were already totally different from everyone else at The Pleasure House, but they’re entering new territory now.
And i love how they are together, they really understand eachother, and their broken parts fit perfectly.

Massacre Ball
It’s spooky season, and the stakes have gotten higher and just a little bit scarier….. And when you know it involves Brian and Mina, you know you have to buckle up and brace yourself for one hell of a ride!
Having read the véry delicious Massacre Ball,i’m glad i did….because it was só worth it!!
Brian received a contract with a twist, and he’s considering what to do with it.
He’ll decide when he has all the details, but the place is set and Mina is coming with him.
What happens is a little too close for comfort,on all counts….but then again, this ís Brian!
Will he be able to keep his wits about him?
It was Brian being Brian, and Mina hanging on with everything she had.
In the end, their strong connection needed to save the day…… So,did it??

Yuletide Slay Ride
The Holidays are coming, and Brian and Mina’s Yuletide Slay Ride is sure to get you in their kind of mood for Christmas….even if Brian has been kind of….off since the Massacre Ball at Halloween.
What happened there, shook him and he’s not sure what to do with that.
Because Brian doesn’t doubt his actions,he doesn’t worry about the feelings of other people.
So,what is he doing now??? And what is the solution???
Mina can feel him retreating, and she doesn’t know what to do about it.
She knows the reasons why,but how to get him to understand how she feels, that’s the question.
She does agree with one solution he comes up with,though…..
Fingers crossed that it’s going to help him get out of his head and at least partway back to his “normal” self…

My Violent Valentine
Brian and Mina have had their own celebrations of the Holidays, and i love how they gave them all their own twist.
With My Violent Valentine,we have arrived at the last episode, and after reading it,i have to say they are exactly where they should be!
As usual, they gave this day of celebrating love their own unique twist…..involving blood, bodies, massacre and chaos, but most of all, their own brand of love.
No flowers, chocolate or a romantic dinner for these two!
Mina has grown so much, she’s so much stronger than she ever thought she could be. Brian the House psychopath has grown into the perfect man for her, even more than he already was.
And these two are the only ones left standing at the end…..together.

This was a solid collection of over-the-top dark and violent short stories. The violence was more intense than the smexy stuff. Brian and Mina were made for each other, and the angst that brewed between them became a bit annoying, but they eventually grew out of it. The background story arc provided a nice maguffin which kept it from becoming maudlin. The sex scenes could have been a little more intense and less repetitive. The pumpkin patch was excellent.

I felt that there was one opportunity missed: But that probably says more about me...

The Easter Hunt – Well, that was darkly delicious! This back and forth look at Brian and Mina’s life after their relationship is established gives all sorts of insight into their psyches, and it was an interesting place to be. Brian is still in charge but Mina is coming into her own and this episode gives her a chance to flex her newfound power. Mina is a powerhouse here and while Brian relishes it, he does make sure she remembers he is still in charge. Watching this new dynamic emerge was all sorts of sexy, wild, vicious, fun!

Blowing Things Up – I love these glimpses behind the veil that we get, showing us how this utterly intriguing couple work within their dynamic, and how their dynamic keeps adjusting to meet their needs. Striking that balance isn’t easy for them, but the commitment they have to each other is evident and strong. Their interactions, no matter the circumstances, are unbelievably enthralling to see, watch, and witness <3

The Massacre Ball – You know how we all see Brian as cold, unfeeling, brutal? Well, we get to see what happens when he doesn’t lock down his emotions in this story, and it is wild! He is still cold, and there is most definitely brutality, in fact, it is ratcheted up, but when those gates open, and those emotions pour out, look out anything, or anyone, in his path. The relationship between Brian and Mina becomes more clear, and a bit more murky. There are moments, some good, some bad, and some scary, and then they connect it all together again, using the dynamic they have built, to put them in a place that is uniquely theirs <3

Yuletide Slay Ride – This story had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! There was so much that happened, I couldn’t even glance away, sure that if I did, I would miss something. Mina and Brian start out one way, go through a few phases, and then end up, well at a different place. While this is complete with all the things that need to happen for this part, happening, I’m nearly vibrating with anticipation on how this is all going to come together in the big picture!!!

My Violent Valentine - This was the absolutely most perfect wrap up to Brian and Mina’s Holiday Hits! This story, it is so them, has all the varied elements that make up their dynamic, and all the things we kind of considered lay beneath the surface, brought to life. From the moment I started, I don’t think I blinked, and then when I finished, I was so happily, deeply, satisfied, with the characters and where they ended up <3

Out of all the pleasure house books there is not a singular couple who has been taking up realestate as much as Brian and Mina have. I am obsessed with them and having a book for every major holiday is pure genius.
We follow Brian and Mina as they slowly figure out their new normal. Also our new added little bonus has me extremely excited for Aiden’s story! Can not recommend this collection more especially during this holiday season!

Next will be the separate reviews, so if you’re huge on not knowing anything going into a book, be advised!

The easter hunt

Omg… just omg…
In this first novella we see Mina truly come into her own and not just with herself but also in her relationship with Brian.

This book is dark in every best way possible and in a way very cathartic. I feel like despite the darker subjet matter a lot of women would be able to relate to Mina in some way. I know I did.

Blowing things up

The second holiday novella about Brian and Mina and I loved it even more than the first. Having read Broken Dolls (their story in the Pleasure House series) and the first novella shortly before this I have to say I’m loving all the little glimpses into their lives and them growing into what they were always meant to be together. And having them all set during some or other holiday just adds to it in my opinion, because even if this particular one is a holiday I don’t celebrate in Europe, it does set a stage in my mind.

Mina has really come into her own and she’s quite the little badass in this one.
Although these novella’s and this one in particular are very different than Broken Dolls, it’s truly keeping me engaged. A little bit of action with the spice.

It’s such a nice short but well rounded novella. And unlike some of Kitty’s reads, this one has a pretty satisfying ending. Not gonna spoil it, but I must say I appreciated it!

The massacre ball

Oh. My. God… this little series is getting more unhinged as we go and I am here for it.

We once more follow Mina and Brian as they become more and more connected through these jobs they go on. Mina being the badass I wish I was in a way. And Brian.. Brian shows he might not be quite as emotionless anymore as he thinks he is. Maybe that’s quite not the right phrase, in fact Brian himself isn’t quite sure what’s changed, but I am excited to figure it out alongside him! We’re at about the halfway point now, and it truly does feel like it. Right on the cusp of something.

In true Halloween fashion, this truly scared me to my core, I was sobbing at… some point.. I am still wholly obsessed with these two and I don’t imagine that stopping anytime soon, and I want the next one yesterday!

Yuletide slay ride

Obligatory not a standalone, please read their whole story.

This was the best early christmas present Kitty could have given me. I read this on the bus and in my breaks at work (unless you have a great pokerface I don’t recommend!) and I ran though it!

Well this at least, we finally get a little glimpse into the thoughts and motifs and reasoning of Brian and it’s better than I had begged for. We follow Brian and Mina in the aftermath of Halloween heading into a lovely little Christmas kill. Brian is still messed up on what he almost did or didn’t do and Mina just needs him to stop avoiding her. They’re both right in their action and reaction and that makes this such a hard read.

They’re both just so incredibly well matched and I could feel both of their emotions so intensely I wanted to cry! And the spice was incredibly well placed and very hot.
Truly the christmassy vibes and witchy/occult ending had me ready for my own holidays.

My violent valentine

Award given for most happiest sociopathic HEA to Kitty Thomas. I almost split my stitches smiling so hard near the end.

We finally got to the final in The holiday hits and I actually understand the wait now. This was epic. Brian and Mina are slowly but surely settling into their little slice of heaven together but there is still the little snag of the card reading in the back of the minds of both of them.

I feel like Brian has truly grown, we get even more of his thoughts and they’re just so chaotic sometimes even he knows it makes no sense. I’ve never laughed so much through murder, and I read a lot!
Mina too, I loved her in Broken Dolls, I adore her now. So badass but her, albeit slight, moral compass keeps them from ruling hell outright (not a bad thing).
In all honesty though, they’ve truly found their people in each other and I’m not afraid to say they and all their stories are truly my favorite so far. They’ve stolen my heart and I don’t want it back.

Thank you to the author and Goodreads for the copy of this book<3
this was a 3.75! I think I am not a dark romance girl unfortunately. I also am not sure how I feel about their slave/master kink thing they got going on tbh. Most of the other stuff was fine but that just rubs me the wrong way. However, I’m not really into these sorts of things and I don’t normally read dark romance books, so I’m really not sure if that’s like a normal kink and I’m just being weird or not:/

Other than that I will say the characters grew on me! I had not read the first series or their first book so I really appreciated the recap and explanation of things at the beginning of the book! I've never seen that in a book so I am super grateful. As each story grew I ended up liking Brian and Mina together and I liked seeing them go through challenges and see them work stuff out. I'm glad that the problems weren't glossed over.

I won't put any spoilers but I am surprised they got away with some of the things they did not going to lie. I kind of just put it aside as a book magic kind of thing. I really liked how it ended and how it led to a possible new couple/series!

Overall this was obviously quite dark, but also lighter than other dark romance books out there. The stories were the perfect length to keep you interested and going and connected very well. While I did not like the main slave/master thing, I am willing to see what the books that were hinted at the end of the book end up like!

This is a collection box set of all 5 short stories revolving around Brian and Mina’s relationship. By far my favourite one from these short stories is The Massacre Ball. If you like your MMC bad, sadist, stalkerish, touch her you die then Brian is definitely your man and lets not forget the FMC Mina who’s a badass and is truly the only one who can tame Brian. It’s dark and delicious, can be read alone but I definitely recommend The pleasure house collection or at least Broken dolls beforehand. This author never disappoints.

First, I have to say, Brian and Mina have always been my favorite couple of the House. Finding out they were getting extra stories had me over the moon! Here you get all those stories in one place. I loved seeing how their relationship evolves and Mina finding her inner strength. And talk about a sweet bonus! It's like getting extra sprinkles on an already delicious sundae!
I can't wait for Aidan's story. Which hopefully has more Brian and Mina *wink*
Trust me, you don't want to miss this one!!

I enjoyed each of the stories individually.
But I’m excited that they are now all available in this one book. And the cover is just perfect.

Brian and Mina start us off on their holiday journey with The Easter Hunt.
The Easter Hunt is a quick read, that lacks for absolutely nothing.
Do not let the title fool you. This novella is dark and dirty.
Yeah I loved it!
Mina comes into her own here. She has blossomed and bloomed into no one’s prey.
She’s what evil men and conditions have turned her into.
A fierce woman that is ready to do battle to the death.
I absolutely adorned this Phoenix that has raised from the ashes.
Brian has been to hell and back. Nothing surprises him anymore.
But this dangerous ruthless man is in for the shock of his life.
I kept guessing how he would take it and what he would do.
I loved how everything played out.
Well done Ms. Thomas!
I must say the writing is impeccable. The words the author strings together are impactful and dynamic. I was hanging on to each word I was reading. Trying to savor each one.
While still trying to read as fast as possible to get to the next page.
Also Brian and Mina are a powerhouse couple. Not in the traditional sense.
But what befits their world and their dynamics.

Our next adventure is titled Blowing Things Up.
With this novella I got a different side of Brian and Mina.
Brian is still the ruthless dangerous man he’s always been.
But when it comes to Mina he will do absolutely anything to keep her.
Even if it goes against everything he believes in in his type of work.
I was thrilled that Mina has become even more of a badass woman.
But still keeping intact her conscience.
When these two dynamic couple come across a situation not planned for.
Each one of them has opposing views on what needs to be done.
After all is said and done in the circumstances they found themselves in.
They now must decide how this will affect their relationship and how to move forward.
This second installment is just as exciting as the first. But this one had a more personal taste to it.
I love Ms. Thomas’ writing. It’s precise and concise.
Her words pull me in and as I’m reading my minds eye turns the words into a movie I’m seeing.
I’m excited to see what comes next for this Bonnie and Clyde duo.

It’s Halloween time in The Massacre Ball.
Brian and Mina are about to show you what that entails.
I enjoyed this Halloween inspired novella very much.
It was intense and action packed.
But Brian is off his game. And when he’s off his game things are about to get bloody.
I liked seeing more of Brian’s feelings and emotions.
His inner voice and the things going through him at different points in the story.
I loved seeing the Aidan aspect of the story as well.
It had me thinking about what would happen in the long run with that part of the story.
The intensity with Brian and Mina is incredible. And getting more so.
Their dynamics are changing and taking different directions.
Which is making everything with them and between them more exciting and more challenging.
Can’t wait for their next holiday adventure.

It’s Christmas time and Brian and Mina have gifted us with Yuletide Slay Ride.
Brian isn’t doing well after the Halloween fiasco.
Mina is trying to break him out of his guilt trip.
And death is in the air for one unlucky person.
While all that’s going on is action packed and filled with suspense.
My intrigue has always been piqued by Aiden.
What does his mind remember and how does his minds eye see the events of that fateful day.
The responsibility Brian feels towards him.
How is this part of the Mina and Brian saga play out.
Well I got some answers here.
And it’s absolutely thrilling and captivating!
I can’t wait to see what is in store with these three and how things are going to

In My Violent Valentine we are spending Valentine’s with Brian and Mina.
The conclusion to Brian and Mina’s holiday adventures ends with a spectacular finale!
Just as this couple is unconventional and dynamic their Valentine’s Day is as well.
Upheaval and chaos and unexpected mayhem are thrown at them.
But come on this is Mina and Brian we are talking about. They thrive in madness and pandemonium.
This couple took me on some crazy holiday adventures. And I enjoyed the wild ride I was taken on.
Their final holiday excursion is befitting and perfect to them and who they are.

I absolutely loved the bonus epilogue!
I’m so excited and can’t wait to read what this brilliant author has in stored for her readers with Aidan and Maddie.

I loved going on these wild and exciting holiday adventures with Mina and Brian.
And that is all due to the exceptional storytelling of Ms. Thomas
Ms. Thomas is phenomenal at crossing her t’s and dotting her i’s.
She doesn’t miss a beat in bringing everything together perfectly.
Another brilliant thing she did was making me care and really like this couple.
Who on paper should be despised.
But she made them, I wouldn’t say relatable, but maybe understandable?
However the author did it, I adore this couple.
Her hard work absolutely shines through in her writing.
And she took the reader on some very original holiday excursions.
With an unforgettable and very unique couple.
Five stars for this series that had me always on the edge of my seat.

I read each of these books individually as they came out. This box set is great (and a great price considering it is for five books)!
For anyone looking for a new books to read, this book does require you to read at the very least Broken Dolls, first, if not all of the Pleasure House books. Otherwise, you will be wondering what a lot of the backstory is.

You know the worst thing about novellas? They leave you wanting more. Thankfuly, this book has all of them in one place.

-Easter Hunt-
Mina wants revenge. Not something that someone else does for her but her own sweet satisfaction. When Brian takes too long coming home from a personal mission, it gets embedded in her brain even more. When she finds out why he isn't home, she is glad to be able to let her dark thoughts out and make the revenge happen.

-Blowing Things Up-
The fourth of July is the best time to blow things up and that is exactly what Brian and Mina are going to do. Take this literally and figuratively because it covers all basis.
Brian has a job to do. Being able to do jobs where everything can be done at once is always better than doing things singularly. Mina wants to help him but he is wary of this idea. Just because she helped before, doesn't mean it is really what she wants, right? Right?!

-The Massacre Ball-
Halloween is always seen as a creepy time. Spirits, and haunting, and people pretending to be killers. Except in this case, they are not just pretending.

Soccer moms have chore boards, Brian has a murder board. Although he claims it's for him, Mina needs to know what's happening so he made the board so she could be kept in his loop.
Based on the chart, it seems his killing agenda has been moved up - but first a cocktail party.

As Brian and Mina do recon at the party, the host of the party (aka 'the mark' extends an invitation to Brian to join him in his office. It seems we have some double crossing going on when it comes to who wants who killed and they all want Brian for the job. Brian has to decide which job will be more beneficial. Still debating on who is getting eliminated, a turn of events may make it be someone entirely different. He just needs a reminder of what and why he was doing it.

-Yuletide Slay Ride-
Another holiday another mission.
During Brian's last kill, he was sure that Mina was going to be one of his victims and not just his accomplice. It has since been haunting him and making for a very unpleasant relationship. Mina has decided she needs to get things back to the way they were and her idea is a little unconventional. With the help of Gabe she thinks she has a way to help Brian but it may not be enough. A new person to kill on the other hand, may be just the ticket. Enter the Krampus Run. What better way to kill someone then act like it's all part of fun and games.
While there, someone points Mina out and calls her his guardian angel.

My Violent Valentine-
It is almost Valentines day and what is more romantic than going on a trip with your boyfriend? Going with him to a warmer climate to off some people obviously.

Brian and Mina are heading to Arizona.
Though a road trip was NOT on their plans, when plans get interrupted due to a delay in flights, you do what you have to do. Random hotels and restaurants break up the monotony of the trip. A few killing and robberies to give it some additional flavor.
This was supposed to be an easy job (did I saw they were going on vacation? I meant kill-cation). Minus their change of travel plans, everything else was set to go.
Famous last words.
Havoc ensues and their world is about to get turned all around in both good and bad ways.

And that concludes the holiday hits.

Side notes -
-Novellas are too short to become movies but there are some lovely scenes in this book that would be so fun to watch especially in Blowing Things Up.
-I love that there are people and scenes from other books (not just the Pleasure House series) interjected in throughout.

The Easter Hunt

This book was short and sweet but oh so good! I loved seeing Mina and Brian again! It was fun to see a little glimpse into their sordid lives and find out what's going on with them. I don't want to give anything away but both Mina and Brian are badass and sexy as hell. No one can go up against them without regretting it. I really liked that we can see their relationship grow and evolve into something new that bonds them even more than before. A really great read!

Blowing Things Up

I loved this story! Mina and Brian are my favorite characters from the Pleasure House series and I'm so happy to see their story continue with these novellas. Seeing them both grow as people and in their twisted relationship is so fun! I wasn't sure what to expect from this book but it was great! And there's a plot twist I didn't see coming! And the Epilogue!!! OMG I want more! The book is just perfection I can't wait to see what these two get up to next!

The Massacre Ball

Wow this was the best of the Brian and Mina books yet. Set at a masquerade ball Brian is hired to kill a rich man and Mina as always is along for the ride but when things don't go the way they planned we get to see how their relationship has evolved since Broken Dolls and how both Brian and Mina have changed both in good and bad ways.

This story had me on the edge of my seat because I never knew what was going to happen because things were always changing. I loved seeing how their relationship has evolved and how they've changed each other and themselves. The killing was fun as usual (what a weird sentence to write ha!) and both Mina and Brian go through such an evolution throughout the story and I can't wait to see where their relationship goes next.

Yuletide Slay Ride

Loved it! I had no idea where this book was going but it was so great! I love all the references to past books and the ever evolving relationship between Brian and Mina. I find this book was kind of gory and that's saying something after reading the Halloween story. I love how demented Brian is but that we get to see glimpse inside his head and that no matter what happens Mina still seem to retain part of her innocence. The mall Santa scene was a hoot! All around fun read! I can't wait for the conclusion!

My Violent Valentine

Wow what a conclusion to an epic series! I loved reading these novellas about Mina and Brian and their evolving relationship. I loved that Brian slowly over the course of the series has made Mina a little bit darker she's made him a tiny bit lighter. This book had so many twists and turns that were so delicious and exactly what I was expecting for a final. And some thing that I did not see coming. If you love Brian and Mina from Broken Dolls then read these novellas you will not regret it!

I loved how this author decided to finish these 2 character's story. These holiday hits really bring their ending together, and makes the way things change in later stories in the original series, really make sense. Mina really comes into her own person. A more confident and less innocent person. I loved how her character really grew and changed. Brian has always kinda been a favorite character as well. I loved getting into his brain and seeing how even he changed to include people he actually cared about. He doesn't have many but they definitely affected him! Loved these holiday hits!

Kitty’s signature intensity, blending brutality, passion, and unexpected tenderness in a way that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. This holiday installment is an absolute thrill ride that perfectly captures Brian and Mina’s dark, twisted, yet undeniably captivating journey toward their own unique happily ever after. This is a must read for lovers of dark romance!

"I know I'm never going to be enough for her because I can't move past the fear that I'll break her."

Where to start? This series is amazing. I wish I could give it ten stars! I literally love every single story. And it doesn't even read like five separate novellas. Instead it's more like one book broken into five sections.

I'm not going to discuss each separate story. It you want details you can read the reviews I posted under each individual novella. Instead I want to review the series that's contained in this perfect box set.

Like I said, these are really all parts of a whole. It makes sense Kitty put them all together as they are made to be read that way. And unlike some box sets, not a single one is less than fantastic.

The best part of it all is Brian. I absolutely adore this man. I totally understand why Mina found him irresistible. Yes, he's dark, but he's so much more than that. He’s also intelligent, loyal, fearless, protective and incredibly funny. I laughed so much! His chapters were written as if he was talking to us and I really feel like I got to know him well.

I love Mina, too. While not as large a character as Brian, she has so much depth and heart. And what a survivor. In many ways she was even braver than Brian. I hated the way everyone treated her. So unfair. She did nothing to deserve it, either.

These two are such a great couple. They compliment each other and provide balance. Each makes the other more. And their mutual devotion is undeniable. Brian says in the first story that Mina is the air he breathes. I think that describes it perfectly.

One final note, when I say this book is dark, I'm serious. So if you are someone who has triggers of any kind, this isn't a good choice. Not that this is in any way the darkest book I've ever read. A number of Kitty's other books make this one look almost medium-dark. But Brian tortures and kills people - a lot. And he enjoys it. And he doesn't care about who they are. They call him the monster in the dungeon for a reason.

For anyone unconcerned about triggers, be prepared for an incredible ride. Brian and Mina's Holiday Hits is like the very best roller-coaster, fast and exciting with twists and turns that are both exhilarating and scary. By the end you'll be smiling, heart still racing, as you wish you could go do it again.
