In Ectoplasm and Espresso, the fifth book of the Corpse Collector Paranormal Cozy Mystery Series, funeral director and ghost whisperer Carrigan Critt finds herself drawn into a chilling new mystery when Castle Point's beloved Chatterbox Café becomes the center of supernatural mayhem.
Carrigan Critt was expecting coffee and croissants, not ghostly chills and small-town scandal.
When unsettling disturbances halt renovations at The Chatterbox Café, Castle Point’s favorite gathering place quickly becomes the center of supernatural suspicion—and local gossip is brewing stronger than the morning roast.
Things take a darker turn when Eunice Pembleton, the café’s sharp-tongued and well-loved owner, lands squarely at the heart of the mystery, becoming the prime suspect in a case tied to Castle Point’s tangled past.
As whispers grow louder and old rivalries resurface, Carrigan and her crew must untangle a web of long-held grudges, buried family secrets, and unexplained happenings behind the café’s shuttered doors.
Because in Castle Point, history never stays buried for long—and neither do its ghosts.
Ectoplasm and Espresso delivers a perfect brew of humor, heart, and paranormal intrigue, making it a must-read for fans of cozy mysteries with a supernatural twist.

Carrie is back in the latest book in this series, and she’s on the case with the newest murder that’s discovered…and her dad was somehow mixed in with the victim who was killed almost 50 years ago. This is a fun-filled mystery, and even though it’s not perfect, there is just so much to like about it. The writing is engaging, entertaining, and really holds my interest from the first page. I just love all the characters, and now I’m wondering what Carrie’s next called will be named…LOL! Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
What do you get when you combine an alphabet of cats with a trio of hookers? One of the most delightful paranormal cozy series around. These characters have already become fast friends, ones who can be counted on to lift my mood and bring smiles, corpses and ghosts with them as they work with a certain deputy to solve their cases. If you haven't checked them out yet, grab this book. Just be careful of the ectoplasm. It's awfully hard to clean off.
Another exciting mystery to solve for Carrigan, but with a twist this time. (No spoilers) Eunice is renovating the Chatterbox Cafe, when the workers find something inside the walls they tore down. This leads to more questions than answers, but Critt and the Happy Hookers do their best to solve the mystery. Love this series!

Carrigan is back and she has a new case to deal with. But she gets help from her friends and cats. I enjoy this paranormal mystery series with the many oneliners. I can only recommend these book. I received an advance review copy and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.
An absolute fun and entertaining story with a captivating plot, enjoyable characters, and wonderful plot-twists and surprises. I totally loved Carrigan, her pets, and her friends.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
Carrie is back with yet another murder to solve. The Chatterbox Cafe is getting a renewal but the last thing Eunice expects to find is a body and a ghost. While the Hookers go to work, the cats go on, Alvie, Binx, Casper, Dora, Eddie, and who’s next? Fun, quick book.
I enjoyed this quick read. It was as a nice palate cleanser for me. The mystery involved was interesting and lead to a build up of the continuing plot line within the series.
