November 19, 2024Christine Phillips graciously welcomes her readers into her inner circle for a heart-to-heart chat. It was as if I sat across from her enjoying my favorite coffee & cake ["cake is always a good option"] as she shared her quilting journey with me. She encouraged, validated, inspired and challenged me along my quilting journey. She challenged me to just "take the next step" in the "Needle for Your Thoughts" section at the end of each chapter, the "Bonus Tips for Adding Meaning to Your Quilt" section. My mind ignited with ideas for special quilts as I read chapter 26, "Quilts Tell a Story." Taking her advice, I added these ideas to my ever present quilty journal were I leave myself game-changing little notes. Christine directs this book to quilters, but her Tips, encouragement & inspirations speak to all creative no matter what step of the journey they are in.
