I would highly recommend this series and author to readers of romantic family and friends relationships adventures mystery novels 😘😏 2025 😕👒
Great installment in the series. The author does a terrific job pulling you in with all the mystery and intrigue along with all the secrets. She brings a cast of strong characters and moves the story fluidly with her descriptive scenes and delivers an enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to the next book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are freely given.
I really don’t know what to think there are so many mysteries involved. I think her ex husband Scott is definitely up to something. I couldn’t believe what Matt senior had told them. Also Dakota is definitely changing his ways a little that’s for sure
This is book 2 of the Lake Tahoe series. These books do need to be read in order as book 2 picks up exactly where book 1 left off.
The characters in this book are essentially the same as book 1 with Matthew Fox Sr being added at the end of the book.
At the end of this book there are several questions that are answered about the sisters dad and both mothers.
This book also adds a new element that ramps up how the sisters will handle things since someone is out to get the house from them - probably Fox Jr (in my opinion).
We also learn more about Dakota and his family and why he is the way he is.
It does appear that attitudes are softening all around - both sisters and Dakota.
Book 3 is supposed to be coming out soon and it does appear to be the final book of the series so we should find out what happens with the house and also with Lily and Dakota (if anything).
I have some burning questions about Lily’s ex-husband and her kids. I gotta be honest - her kids are not very nice to her and I’m also wondering why her ex wants her to fly to Spain all of a sudden. He’s shifty and a manipulator and he’s definitely got something up his sleeve!!
Lily, Violet and Camellia are sisters sharing the same father and different mothers. They are joint heirs to a home at Lake Tahoe where Camellia and her Mother often stayed, especially during Christmas holidays. Lily and Violet knew nothing about this home, Camellia, or that their dad had another family. None of them know which Mom was legally married to their dad. It’s truly a messed up triangle! Lily is divorced and both Camellia and Violet are married. Camellia talks her half sisters into volunteering with a fund raiser rodeo and this is where things really get messed up and their lives get more tangled than they already were. This book is really great. Filled with lots of mysteries and surprises as the story develops. There is something for everyone to enjoy and is a wonderful clean story.

Dak is seriously injured, and no one can take care of Critter, his onery dog. Lily also needs to help get his horse back home. Lily takes the dog to the Lake Tahoe house and goes back and forth to the hospital. Once Dak is released, he needs someone to help him, and Lily is the only one who can. Dak and his brother Austin don't have a good relationship, but when Lily finds Dak unconscious in the basement, Austin comes to help. With Dak in the hospital, the boiler not working and the need for the sisters to spend 5 nights together, they all go to the Lake Tahoe house. Someone goes into the house when they are out, and the ladies suspect Matt. They finally track down his dad Matthew and learn even more secrets. Violet and Lily's mom knew about their dad's other family! I received an advanced reader copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest opinion.
Lily, Violet, and Camillia are still trying to find common grounds but things from the past keep popping up. Then things go from bad to worse when Camillia husband decides to ride a bull at the charity rodeo. Camillia knows Lily knew what was happening and didn't tell her. So when the bull almost gets Ray, but gets Dakota instead, Camilla blames Lily. Now the three sisters are spending time together at the Tahoe house trying to fulfill some of the requirements for inheriting the estate. After someone enters the house while they are all gone, the sisters decide they have to find the attorney who originally drew up the will. Will they finally get the answers needed? Can the sisters come to grips with finding the answers?
as the sisters work through their complex emotions and a variety if family and relationships issues, they face suspicious activity with the handling of the Lake House and estate.
long held secrets left bruising shadows and echoes behind for all of the sisters
can their developing sisterly bond stand the tests of dangerous interferences?
it's a fascinating and intruige filled bunch of adventures.
I'm enjoying visiting this book world, and as the child of a second marriage for my father, I can appreciate the well sketched tensions and debates these sisters endure, as well as their perseverance and humor.
In this great instalment we got to see the family dynamics for Dak with his brother and learned why he is somewhat closed off from his family and most people. The three sisters finally begin their stay at the Tahoe house only for them to discover the truth about their families and their father. And what is going on with Lily’s ex? There is a mystery there and I don’t think it will be anything good for Lily. The ending was quite a revelation and I am so excited to see where Ms Parker takes us next on this journey.

I am hooked on this series. It is full of drama, has a realistic aspect to the story, has a grumpy cowboy plus wonderful male characters, has wonderful female characters although Commie needs to get a reality check, it has a dog and horse, and it is entertaining. It is going to be interesting to see what the sisters do with the new information Jake's father just told them in regard to their father. I am hooked!!!.

The Christmas Lake House is book 2 in the Lake Tahoe series, and it had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish! The sisters are trying to figure things out and maybe be close as sisters and family when the story wraps up. I said out loud at the end of this one, “WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW???” Sage Parker knows how to throw a twist in at the of the books in the series. I am anxious for the next one to come out. I highly recommend this series.

“The Christmas Lake House book 2” by Sage Parker delivers a continuation of family drama, holiday warmth, and blossoming romance. As secrets unravel, the sisters face new challenges, including a potential threat to their cherished home. Character dynamics deepen, especially with Dakota, setting up anticipation for the series’ next installment. Hopefully it will tie up lingering mysteries, including Lily’s past and her kids. This is not my favorite format because I hate cliffhangers.

And while I’m sort-of irked that in order to find closure on the main story of the first book, I have to keep purchasing the 2nd and 3rd book (is there a 4th?!), I did rate this as a 3.5 rounded up to a 4. At first I was having a hard time with one of the characters seeming to be acting OUT of character but then I realized maybe it’s this authors’s subtle way of showing growth over time. Thus the higher rating, and here I am - on to buy book #3. The fact that I do want to finish reading the series is credit to the stories also. I want to know how this ends!!
Tempers are understandably short due to everything these sisters are dealing with. Confusing phone calls, secrets being revealed about their dad's double life, and lives in danger is keeping them on edge. What is going on with their lawyer? Will they be able to fulfill the stipulations of the will? How long before everyone gets answers and the full truth is revealed?.

This is an amazing story full of family drama, secrets and interesting suspects. This family is a hot mess. The twists and turns will keep you completely invested in the story. These characters are wonderfully written and very interesting each with something different going on in their life. Love the setting and these gorgeous book covers. I can't wait to see what happens as this story moves along. I love it!.
The Christmas Lake House Book 2 of Lake Tahoe series was wonderful. It draws you in from the first chapter until the end. The Christmas Lake House (Book 2) is book #2 in the Lake Tahoe series by Sage Parker.
I really enjoyed the continuation of this of story. We learn more about the characters and watch them struggle with new issues as someone is trying to get the lake house. In the Christmas Lake House, Book 2, more secrets are uncovered along with more questions. Dak is injured, and Lily helps to care for him. It seems that someone is out to sabatoge the ladies. I don't trust Matt or his father. I can't wait to read book 3!.

It’s good read too bad is too short.I enjoy reading and like that characters are a bit older. Finding the footings after some changes in life is not easy and to find a soulmate almost impossible. I’m ready for next chapters.

Lily is getting dragged into so many new experiences and learning to get along with a new sister and all the drama in her life she is feeling very topsy turvy. This book is the best yet, there is so much drama and excitement going on. This is really a must read series!
