The Lost Lines #6

The Goddess's Spy

Rate this book
She's a spy. She's an Omega. And she might just be a goddess.

As a child, Ratter led a group of thieving street rats who did odd poisoning jobs for the king and secretly protected the innocent and vulnerable. Now known as Rada, she’s on the run from Alphas intent on claiming her, and a goddess who seems to want her to stop spying and start popping out street rats of her own.

Dead set on completing her own mission, she runs straight into trouble and ends up burned at the stake. Well, toasted, anyway.

When Rada breaks down and prays for help, though, the wrong deity answers. Even the men who are obsessed with her––her valet, her ex-husband, two smoking hot selkie princes, and a couple of monsters––may not be enough to keep her from becoming the sacrifice she was created to be.

But this Omega isn’t about to lay down for any man… or any god.

The Goddess's Spy is part of The Lost Lines, a fantasy reverse harem Omegaverse series with different heroines in an interconnected world. This is the first book in a duet and it does end on a cliffhanger. The final book, The Goddess’s Thief, will be out in February 2026.

Thank you for reading The Goddess’s Spy!

Maybe authors aren’t supposed to admit they have a favorite character, but I think the secret about mine has been out for a while. Rada, also known as Ratter of Rimholt, skipped onto the page in The Queen’s Nest and stole the show, readers’ hearts, and mine, too. With the forthcoming publication of The Assassin’s Gift (only available in Roya, The Lost Lines Collection Volume Three, January 2026), she will appear on the page with every other heroine in the series.

Rada started out as a “stab first, ask questions later” child, and she hasn’t lost any of those adorable homicidal tendencies on her way to becoming an adult. The Goddess's Spy is the first half of her duet, and her story will conclude in The Goddess's Thief (coming in very early 2026, chapters publishing on my Ream stories in December and January https://reamstories.com/merribright).

Will there be more in the Lost Lines world? The only story that’s floating in the ether is Cyndil’s, Warlord Wulfram’s daughter. It’s a side story, and halfway written. I may publish it someday, but I have other worlds to explore and a spark to follow.

I love hearing from readers! I can be reached at merri@merribright.com or in my Facebook reader group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/merri...

XO,
Merri

Well we waited, and Merri more than delivered. Abosfrikkinlutely awesome! 🖤💜🖤
I knew I was going to love this book, and OMG it is a crazy one people! It's non stop action from start to finish. The world building is amazing. Felt like I was right along side Ratter. Of course, in true Ratter style, there is some stabby stabby. There was never going to be a dull moment when it came to Ratter's story. It's wild and chaotic. It's all Ratter.

This story will hit you in the feels with so many emotions, make you laugh, and you will fall in love with each wonderful character. Ratter has been one of my favourite characters throughout the series, so to see her all grown up (and still causing chaos), had me doing a little happy dance in my heart.

The men surrounding Ratter, I could not, and would not pick a fav. Each one will have your bits warming and mouth drooling. There are so many different sizes and shapes. Take that how you will. You all get where I'm coming from. They say variety is the spice of life, and holy crappoli, Ratter most definitely has a spicy life. She's one lucky bitch. 🖤

Being that The Godess's Spy is book one the duet, expect a great cliffy that will have you wiggling in your seat with anticipation for book 2. Ratter's story is so much more than you think and would not fill one book, so of course she was going to get a duet.

P.S. If you've read the series so far, and don't love Ratter, we can't be friends.

“I don’t have time to lie in a nest and get railed by a bunch of males for weeks at a time. I’ve got shit to do.”

So excited to finally get Ratter’s story! Yeah, it's part one only - cliffhanger alert - but the final HEA is going to be well-worth the wait.

I love how Merri Bright mixes humor and angst into her smutty books. Lots and lots of yearnings and rejections, just enough to give the books some bite, but not so much that you feel like your heart will explode.

This book is pretty low on the smut level (compared to many OV) but it all sets the stage for some explosive heat in the next book. Plus, we still have some mates to uncover. Ratter has all the luck.

Magic, shifters, and gods/goddesses in an OV world. What's not to love?

Thanks to Merri Bright for the e-ARC.

I’m really excited for Ratter’s book! We’ve seen her grow from a young street rat—leading and protecting her group of kids at just ten years old—into someone with so much grit, intelligence, and heart. She’s always been the big sister and protector, saving every bit of money just to survive and keep her family safe. Through it all, she’s built an incredible support system, from her crew and siblings to her new parents, plus her royal aunt and uncles.

That said, after the last book, I really need a strong FMC who actually stays strong. Ratter has always had standards, and I hope she doesn’t end up accepting a mate who doesn’t deserve her—just because he’s attractive or to force the plot forward. (Yeah, I’m talking about Talon. Who. Deserves. NOTHING.)

She deserves to be treated so well it’s almost sickening—pampered to an extreme degree but never held back. And okay… maybe one mate who argues with her for fun, but that’s it!

Fingers crossed for a better outcome this time

4.25 stars. This story is octuple POV, primarily female assassin/voice of the Goddess female lead (Rada/Ratter), well written and edited, and the beginning of a slow burn, complex, detailed, fantasy, reverse harem, omegaverse romance duet. All SEVEN of the male leads are introduced in the story - five alphas (Serak, Goran, Kellin, Skadi, and Lusca), one omega (Lachlan), and one beta (Alexios) - though they don’t all realise either who they are to Rada or who the others are. I admit I struggle somewhat with a harem this large - it is hard to feel connected to so many people when they don’t all get enough page time. I definitely enjoyed Rada. I applauded her goal focus and her willingness to sacrifice to achieve that goal, even when that meant relationships and comfort. I appreciated her readiness to acknowledge her limitations and her strength to hurt even those she loved, if necessary. I enjoyed Goran and Kellin’s commitment over years. I enjoyed Lachlan’s willingness to admit his errors. I enjoyed Alexios’ physical presence commitment. I enjoyed Lusca’s magical protection and his devotion. I chuckled at Skadi’s shock at his emotions and his willingness to learn how to engage with a human. I empathised with Serak’s pain and am looking forward to more from his perspective in the second half of the duet. I enjoyed the non-romance plot, and the effort that Rada had put into execution of plans. The story ends on a truly deadly cliffhanger, so if those are not your jam, wait for the second half to be released before reading (I hate them but the author’s writing is good enough I was willing to read anyway).

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Wow! Just simply wow! I have loved Ratter since the first moment she stepped on the page in The Queen's Nest, and have eagerly watched her growth through the rest of the Lost Lines series from Haven's Guard all the way through to her own prequel, The Spy's Soltice, and The Wyvern 's Redemption, where we get to join her on her first forays into love, and yes, where we get to meet two of her first loves! If you haven't read them already, then I highly recommend that you do so just for entertainment value alone. After all, this is Ratter that we are talking about, but it will not detract from your enjoyment of The Goddess's Spy, which is the first installment of Ratter's Duet. Yes, that means there is a cliffhanger, but it just leaves you wanting more! In this book, Ratter has finally grown into her true identity of Rada, and we learn that not only is she an Omega and The Avatar for goddess, but she is a spy, most likely an assassin, a warrior, and a Heroine to omegas everywhere. She has just one more place to free the omegas, and that is the place where she was born. Along the way, we get to meet Rada's collection of men. Oh, and what a collection they are! We have everything from Alpha warriors to beta priests to Selkie princes to sea monsters, and even elemental gods! Need I go on? Rada is surrounded by gorgeous men with great abs, who can handle a little stabbing and poisoning with the best of them, and all the other skills that an Omega, who is the avatar of the goddess might need. As always, have a box of tissues on hand, as you will laugh, you will cry, and you will laugh till you cry! You have been warned. Now, get to reading! I promise you will love it! And, you will most likely find yourself falling in love with Rada and her men even more!

I haven't read the full Lost Lines series but met Rada in the Queen's Nest and in her follow up novella, The Spy’s Solstice, which sets the scene for her mission. This is largely a standalone but I'll definitely be going back to fill in the gaps though as there are mild spoilers for the previous books (the ending but not the journey) and I need to know what Talon did. This is slow burn with plenty of yearning, tension, action and humour (the poetry was fun) which kept me engaged throughout.

Rada is a great FMC; she knows her own mind, is strong and capable and dedicated to her mission. It's not the first book I have read with an FMC dodging mating bonds, but I liked that Rada was actively doing something in her time away from her mates rather than it being a big game of hide and seek while they tried to track her down. I am a definite Goran fan; he's not my usual type but he had me from the minute I knew what that inscription said. I think Skadi has the potential to really stir things up too and I can see Lusca getting super competitive with him.

I was still reeling from a certain revelation a few chapters before when the one-two cliff-hanger punch came. It's not too brutal but its left me desperate for the next book to see how on earth everything is going to work out.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

Hook, line, and Sinker, who doesn't love and Omegaverse that's takes what normal and turns it on its head. Rada, once the feral, razor-smart leader of a pack of street rats, now a spy on the run is the kind of heroine you can’t help but root for. She’s clever, stubborn, wickedly funny, and absolutely refuses to let fate, gods, or overbearing Alphas decide her path. I loved her immediately.

The blend of danger, magic, and omegaverse tension is perfection. The author delivers some truly wild twists, including Rada literally getting toasted over a fire and still clawing her way back with sheer grit and a dangerously smart mouth. And when she calls out for help? The wrong god answers in a way that kicks off one of the most entertaining, high-stakes spirals I’ve read in a while.

The men orbiting her...her valet, her ex-husband, the selkie princes, and the monsters (yes, plural) add layers of obsession, devotion, and heat without ever overshadowing Rada herself. They’re obsessed, yes, but she’s still the one holding the reins. Exactly how it should be.

With sharp humor, rich worldbuilding, and an Omega who refuses to go quietly, this book delivers everything: action, heart, spice, mythology, and a heroine who might actually be divine. If you love fierce FMCs, helplessly devoted love interests, and stories where destiny underestimates the wrong woman, this is absolutely a must-read.

Merri has done it again! I loved Rada's character in her prequel story and just love her even more during this! She is such a strong character both mentally and emotionally, knowing the sacrifices she has had to make for her life's mission. I want the next part already and didn't want the book to end! Meeting all of Rada's mates during this, I love the selection she has been granted. All of the personalities are distinct with none feeling bland, each get their own moments with Rada either through flashbacks or present time. Just enjoyed every minute of reading this. Nothing more I can say. Can easily recommend this if you enjoy a strong fmc whose slightly stabby with her males and has a life mission with a side of hot males!

I can't pick favourites out of all of the mates presented. I did love Lusca, Kellin and Lachlan. I feel Goran, Skadi and Alex have a bit of making up to do. I do enjoy Skadi for his mindset of: "She stabbed me first, she is mine to deal with." Goran's gesture of the ring and keeping the beads did make me feel for him and can't wait for his redemption in helping Rada. Kellin was just so sweet and the little moments of displaying the gems and sea creatures on his maps, so adorable! Lachlan is making up for his first reaction to Rada in this and loved how Lusca accepted Rada from the start and has been protecting her ever since.

I can’t believe the journey and the series of The Lost Lines is about to end. It’s has been an amazing ride and a fantastic journey. I love Rada aka Ratter haha aka Mina and apparently so many other names. I think you will too. 😂😉

As always Merri’s writing is amazing. I believe Ratter is one of her favorite character to write. I think it’s funny that her love language is stab first ask questions later. So as you can imagine there is a lot of stabbing first haha when she meets her MMCs. What is a little blood and not a lethal dose of poison between those she is crushing on. Rada is just a plain hilarious, no nonsense, badass FMC. Love, Love, Love her.

I think you will not be able to put this story down and will enjoy the back story of Ratter and how she found love, especially her and her “nine toothed demon”. You just have to read the book to understand what I mean. 😉

Right now I am in serious Rada withdrawal and I can’t wait for the next book which will complete her story.

Spoiler Side note: Alexios may be in the doghouse but I still love him and as for Skadi, Merri has her work cut out to redeem him for me. 😂😂 Let’s just say I was also nicely surprised about the Goddess Spy!!! 😂😂😂

Ratter spent her childhood as the leader of the street children, protecting the city's most vulnerable. Now an adult, Rada's mission is to secure the safety of all hidden Omegas. Since she was young, the Goddess has used her as a vessel. Rada made a decade-long deal with her to leave her alone to accomplish her mission, and at the end of the time, Rada would be a "good little Omega", find her mates, and pop out babies. But when she finds herself in mortal danger, she calls upon the Goddess to help, offering to end the deal early. Unfortunately, another deity comes to her aid, and a destructive deal is struck. Now her past has caught up to her, her mates are appearing, and the evil deity is calling her to him - all before her final mission is complete.

Ratter/Rada is one of my favorite lead females. Omega. Spy. Assassin. Warrior. Savior. Avatar. She is a true femme fatale who lives by her own rules. Her courage, heart, and recklessness are unmatched. Her seven men are varied, with an Alpha warrior, a beta priest, Selkie princes, a sea monster, and elemental gods. The fantasy worldbuilding is rich and vast. So much takes place in this book; it's a nonstop adventure, but in the end, you are left with a cliffhanger, begging for more.

That title hits differently now that I’ve completed book one in this long-awaited duet… Ratter (or Rada) has been a character who has always stuck with me, through all the books and stories she showed up in as a side character. Although, it’s wrong to claim she was ever a real side character: this woman has always had ‘main character energy’, no matter how old she was or what she did.

My favorite why choose books are the ones where the woman doesn’t even want one mate, but ends up with a dozen. And even though Rada isn’t destined for that many, the power and stubborness of many of these men definitely makes them count for a lot. I loved meeting the new men in Rada’s life and seeing others again after a short encounter in previous books. Also: never thought the author would think that a man with tentacles could still be overpowered by another creature in length and flexibility of certain bodyparts… I promise: you really want to meet Skadi.

So yeah, this first book ends on a cliffhanger, but it’s an interesting one that wets the appetite for book two, and I can’t wait to dive in once it’s released!

The Goddess’s Spy by Merri Bright penultimate book in The Lost Lines Collection.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶🌶💀💀
How to review a book that had you on the edge of your seat the entire time? Page to page had me grinning, cringing and excited. I couldn’t read fast enough and I didn't want it to end.
Ratter/Rada has a mission and the alphas had to toe the line or fall behind. That leads to interesting encounters and stories to be told. She made a deal to not burn and now she's literally in the hot seat. Best FMC to read, she's a complete contradiction. Her harem of men, creatures and monster are eclectic as she. A must read for any omegaverse, magic, monster peen loving reader.
Tropes:
Forced Proximity. Chosen family. Huge monster peens. Knots. Heats. Big/small. Rejected mate. Grovelling.
Quotes:
“I can’t do this. I’ve got work to do. A mission. I’m not meant to be livin’ in a cave or a castle, with babies slidin’ out of me every ten months. I’m not a wife, I’m a spy. How’d I forget that?” She scowled at my cock. “You made me forget. You and that nine- toothed demon.”

“This juicy morsel,” he growled. “It tastes like the sea, the mountains, honeyed mint, and rain. Fire and ice and life itself. You taste like paradise, little thief. Where did you steal all these scents?”

His lips met mine, though his kiss turned to laughter when I asked, “What’s a girl gotta do to get some tentacle action around here?”

I’m a huge Merri Bright fan but I have to confess: I didn’t fan-girl for the character of Ratter who first appeared in book one of The Lost Lines Series. I originally found her to be an “annoying little sister type” and liked her only in small doses, so when she got her own novella, I was just ready to enjoy Merri’s incredible world building. After the novella (The Spy’s Solstice) I understood and appreciated Ratter so much more.

Then along came The Goddess’s Spy and Merri finally made me fall in love with a now grown-up Ratter/Rada. So much so that I nearly threw my kindle at the cliffhanger (not too steep but I was caught up in the story.) So if you’re like me and weren’t completely sold on the character of Ratter (sorry Merri) then you need to give this book a chance, it will definitely change your mind and it’s full of the humor, world-building, rich character development and spicy romance that Merri Bright always brings.

(You definitely want to start at the beginning of The Lost Lines Series so you don’t miss a moment of the excitement if you haven’t read them already. I also highly recommend Merri’s Forgotten Angel series!)

Mission to finish.

This book grabbed me from the very first chapter, and I didn’t want to put it down.
Since it’s the first book in a duet, it ends on a cliffhanger—and now I can’t wait for the second one.

It’s a PNR Omegaverse RH with shifters and some darker situations.
There’s a content advisory available if you want to check it.

The author delivers a reading experience that’s as engaging as it is hilarious, without a single dull moment.

We get:
- Intense action – there’s always something happening, with constant unexpected twists.
- Hilarious moments – the FMC has an otherworldly level of sarcasm, making every interaction spectacular, and the MMCs aren’t far behind.
- Very hot scenes – the chemistry between the characters is off the charts.
- Emotional moments – there were times I just wanted to give our tough FMC a big hug. So many emotions held back by fear and secrets.

And the characters? Amazing. They’re funny, captivating, and each has a strong, distinct personality—yet they fit together perfectly.

So good!

In the Goddess's Spy, Rada (aka Ratter)is 30 and has spent 12 years learning, building her skills, and helping to protect omegas all over the world. On her travels, she has met a few of her eventual 7 mates. She has loved and lost in her quest to help the vulnerable. Grown up Rada is everything we've been waiting for! I wasn't sure what to expect from her story, exactly, but it definitely hits the spot. The mates we meet are all exciting, interesting, and unique; learning how to be worthy enough for Rada. She's no longer a brash youth but a mischievous, calculated, wild-card adult with a heart just as generous as ever.

I definitely recommend reading The Spy's Solstice before this one but it's not strictly necessary if you want to jump in blind. Be prepared that this book also ends on a cliffhanger, though! I didn't realize Rada's story would be a duet until I got about halfway through. I'm desperate for the next installment, now, and will probably re-read the other books in the series to tide me over.

Mind boggling story!! Hats off Merri Bright!!
Now, I was dying to have my hands on Ratters story. Even though we did get a glimpse of her in her short story a while back, but getting her big one is something else. We have seen her in cameos in the entire ‘The List Line’ series, so it was natural to get intrigued by her one-of-a-kind character. I literally mean she is one of a kind.

This book and the series is for all the omega verse lovers where we do not have one mate or two mates or three mates, but more. Here, I think, we are looking at 7 mates of different species. You will be amazed to know who they all are, and the way this story comes together, is just not what I was expecting. Fresh out of amazingness. I can’t praise it enough just go read it.

Ratter or Rada is a fierce FMC, and is determined to follow her path. She’s the one ideal who stands for change in her world. She can be serious, dangerous, and hilarious too. She can be anyone you want her to be. I love her so much, her every step and every move offered something more calculated and for the greater good. FAB WORK.

I've been fortunate enough to started this beautifully complicated story of a child called Ratter, who helped raise and save not only children, but most especially omegas like herself. She resented being the Goddesses avatar and bargains with her for 10 years to help save, teach omegas, and boy was she good at it. With her assassins coat on filled with poisons, herbs and useful materials. She's so dedicated to her cause she leaves her husband, mates to continue her quest. She's at the last six months of her 10 year bargain when she's reunited one by one with them. She's definitely got an interesting mix of males. The selkie princes are fun to read about. Im hoping the 2 most powerful are able to work together and her priest finds a way to show what he really wants, because Rada is going to need every single bit of help she can get to save the omegas of Pict, let alone save herself from the evil fire God.

💙💙💙💘
3.8

tw- slaves and forced breeding, death, abuse, some poisonings or maybe a lot

I haven't read the rest of the series but I wasn't hugely lost (though I do recommend reading the prequel) our FMC is a side character known for being stabby in other stories. She keeps true to stab first ask questions later, she poisons and stabs lots of people though most of them are deserving of their punishment.

There's a lot going on here, each chapter is a different pov so it can take a minute to follow which point of time you're in and the characters as they go back and forth with flashbacks as our FMC doesn't remember some things after she's taken over by the goddess or magical things.

While the spice is here fast the romance itself feels slow, like we're getting to know the guys as she does and they're charming in their own ways and they don't all mush together even the brothers.

I will be waiting patiently for the end of the duet after the cliffhanger

Wow, we are finally here...

When I tell you that I have been waiting for this book for years, it is because since the first time I read about this lovely street rat she stole my heart, she was so feisty and funny and protective that I knew she was special. AND I WAS RIGHT!!!! Rada AKA Ratter as any other great thief stole every scene she was in the series and now that its her moment to be the main character I couldn't have enough, it was like seeing this cute kitten with sharp claws become an elegant lioness, and that protective instinct? Still there.
And lets not forget all her mates, every single one as powerful as the next, all with questionable redeeming qualities and absolutely delicious. As expected some of them have to grovel more than others and make me fall in love with them while doing it.
The cliffhanger at the end completely nerve wrecking but absolutely worth it.

Rada, or as we know her, Ratter, has been on a mission for ten years. During this time she has met several of her mates and the way these years are slowly revealled truly show us what she has sacrificed to save as many Omegas as she can. This woman has the biggest heart, the biggest attitude and I think she may just be one of my favourite's of Merri's heroines - which is saying a lot, because Feather, Vali, Haven are all up there too! These men are so everything you could possibly want in a why choose book and their strange abilities to change and grow to meet what Rada needs, shows us that her Goddess indeed works in mysterious ways. The island of Pict is where her life started and now we have to wait to find out if it is where it all ends or if somehow, these divine touched creatures can be the support Rada needs or her doom! Perfect cliffhanger in my opinion!

OMG!!!! Ratter's story is finally here!!!! 🥳

I couldn't wait to see her all grown up. She's an absolute force to be reckoned with. Fair warning though this is part 1 of 2 so yes its a cliffhanger ending for us. 😭

Ratter has been making deals and breaking hearts all these years. Running from 2 possible futures. 1 becoming the unwilling bride to a malevolent god. The other just a vessel for the goddess to remake the omega lines.

I'm not going to give anything away. 1st thing you need to know is years have passed since we last saw her. She's all grown up and still as deadly as ever. We meet her mates and of course there are several that are not a surprise.

I cannot freaking wait to read the next part of Ratter's story. I reread The Spy's Solstice and I'm thinking we got several hints at what's to come.

Radar is everything I thought she would be & more!

This is the story I've been waiting for! I fell in love with Ratter, now Rada from the moment t she walked on page. As we kept getting glimpses of her as she grew up you just knew she was going to be the Goddess her men followed. This book more than delivers as we meet 29 year old Rada. A woman who fights for a better world for Omegas and who's life mission is to save them all, even if it means breaking her own heart. She has unfortunately seen all of the ugly sides of Alphas, which has caused her to fear her own HEA. She is just as tough, kind and awesome woman that we've all grown to love but this first part of her story took me through so may emotions. I giggled a few times, I raged for her and I was saddened that someone who deserves her own happiness won't take it. The men are all so different and are perfect for her in their own ways - they absolutely adore her and worship the ground she walks on but getting to keep Rada and live is going to be a hard waged battle for them. The fire god is scary but if anyone can win against him it's our girl!

Go Team Ratter!

She is a young woman known by many names, Ratter, Rada, Empress, Mina, master spy, avatar, omega, assassin for the Goddess and the many deeds done in the name of the Goddess. She is an awesome omega. She can do it all, well except for being an omega and she is learning! To totally understand her, you need to read the previous books in this series. Rada seems to have several, more than 3 of all types. She needs to finish her mission that she vowed 10 years ago. She wants to keep the remaining omegas safe, healthy and able to fend for themselves. Her adventures are many with no ends in sight. Please read the triggers before reading. And beware, it ends in a CLIFFHANGER!!!

Rada's book was totally worth the wait!! I have been waiting for this book since we first met Ratter. The prequel was a good appetizer but this book really brought everything together. I love how strong a character Rada is and how much she has had to go through to get to where she is. I knew when she finally did get mates they were going to have to be as strong as she was and Merri did not disappoint. Her mates so far are great and I cant wait to meet the rest 💗 just be forwarned there is a horrible cliffhanger but that just made me more excited for the second half 🤣 overall it was a fantastic book, very well written with amazing characters. The plot was fast paced and engaging and the characters were all well written!! Overall an amazing first half and I can not wait for part 2!!

Ratter, the little thief, has stolen every scene she is in, so I’m thrilled that we are finally getting her story.
Before succumbing to her destiny, she has one final task she needs to complete. Unfortunately, this one might just end her. Luckily, she’s not alone.
If you have been hanging for Ratter’s story, it was worth the wait!! It’s not the full story, ending in a cliffhanger, but it is so gooood.
Obviously Ratter would have some of the most epic mates this series has seen, rightfully so.
The relationship developed, while fast paced in some cases, is fun to watch.
I can’t wait for the finale!!

This series is best read in order, and make sure to read The Spy’s Solstice for the complete Ratter experience

Rada has been around since the beginning of the series, but she’s all grown up now. I think her harem is certainly one of the more eclectic mixes I’ve seen in an omegaverse. The MMC are all enjoyable, and even when they make mistakes, redeem themselves pretty quickly. A lot of her mates are also very powerful which I love. I liked that there were twists I hadn’t put together prior to the twists being revealed, like the title of the book. I did take off a star because Rada creates a lot of her own problems by failing to communicate and acting almost childlike in some decisions which is a personal dislike of mine. However, I feel like she got better toward the end of the book, and began to communicate better.

Ever since Ratter appeared at the beginning of this series, I have waited somewhat impatiently for her to grow up and grow into her own story. I will say with utmost certainty that it was well worth the wait. There was no better way for this book to begin than by her being in some impossible predicament, and it only got more interesting from there. The storytelling of Rada's past decade or so through the men who have been loved and lost by her gave me all the big feelings, and I adored getting to know each one of them. The cliff we're hanging from is steep, but knowing Merri, she's going to make the hurt so worth it in the end. Strongly recommend if you love a capable FMC like Violet or Aelin, men that fall at her feet, slow burn with good payoff, and hilarious one-liners.

I found this slow to start but I soon couldn’t put this down. Rada was irritating at first but soon she grew on me and my heart hurt for her.
Her mates, well some of them I loved, others not so much. I wanted Rada and Alexios to kiss so badly, declare their love, something, anything!
The gasp that left my mouth when the reason behind the title was revealed, was so loud that my husband thought something was wrong. It was wrong, so wrong and my heart broke.
The ending was scary, I know Rada is resourceful but she seems outmatched and underpowered going into this. I just hope that her plans come to fruition in time.

The Goddess's Spy is Book 6 of The Lost Lines Series by Merri Bright. This book is part of a duet and is a PNR Omegaverse Reverse Harem.

Like all books by this author it sucked me in from the first paged and kept me entranced all throug out the story to that cliffhanger ending. Its left me wanting to know what happens next. There is certain intense action in this story line for pur main characters that will keep you hooked. I loved all the characters especialy Ratter as we have met her in previous book and been through so mich with her from a ypung age. Loved and enjoyed reading all thier relationships between them all.
