Let this marinate and ngl I am an eensy little but disappointed in this volume😭😭😭. Not so much yamada and akane in this than just problems being created to break them up😭😭. Like Akanes childhood friend who still hasnt gotten over her and had the audacity to walk up to yamada and threaten him👿. Of course Yamada being the mature nonchalant was like “Id like to see you try” LIKE CLOCK IT. That being said, WTF WAS THAT AT THE END OF THE VOLUME. WHY IS HE CALLING ANOTHER GIRL NONETHELESS A GIRL HE MET FROM GAMING. LIKE ALANE HAS A TRAUMA OF BEING CHEATED ON THROUGH A GAME, I FEAR FOR WHEN SHE FINDS OUT. WHY IS IT ALWAYS AKANES FEELING BEING TESTED AND HURT. LIKE YAMADA IS SO SURE IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP CAUSE THERE HASNT BEEN ANY CHALLENGES FOR HIM. WHEREAS AKANE IS ALWAYS CATCHING STRAYS😭😭😭. AND AFTER SHE WORKED THAT HARD TO GET HIM A PROPHETS STONE AND ALSO TURNED THE FUCK DOWN OUT OF HER CHILDHOOD FRIEND.
Anyways rant over. 4 stars because of the unnecessary drama

[3.5] A quick but tidy wrap-up for Takaya’s storyline, it landed in a way that felt satisfying. After that, the energy shifted into more lighthearted territory those easy, everyday moments the series likes to slip into between heavier arcs. It’s not that nothing happened but the pace slowed down enough that you could almost call them filler chapters.

Then came Alex, a fellow pro gamer who also happens to be a girl. The moment she appeared, I felt exactly the same jolt Akane did. I mean, if my boyfriend casually stayed on an all-night call with someone named Alex and I didn’t know she was a girl? Yeah… my brain would be doing gymnastics too. I love that Akane’s reaction felt so grounded, she didn’t blow things out of proportion, but you could still feel that hint of unease that anyone in her shoes might have.

Dernier tome avant d’attendre la suite.
Un peu déçu, des deux derniers tomes je me suis ennuyée sur la fin.
L’histoire devient assez banale. Je pense qu’elle aurait pu se terminer un peu plus tôt et éviter de rajouter des longueurs comme ça.
MAIS, ça reste tout de même un bon Friends to lovers bien mignon

J’attend tellement ce tome même si je sais que maintenant je peux peut être commencer mon deuil. Mais Yamada et Akane sont absolument trop mignons. Cela dit la Kaede (la sœur de Akane) et la mère des filles, je les trouve extrêmement gênante. Leur comportement envers Yamada a leur rencontre est très dérangeante. Heureusement ça s’arrange par la suite.

We go down memory lane with Akane as she returns home for the alumni meetup. Takaya surprises her by being the one to pick her up, and we start to get hints of what their past relationship was like. Takaya seems to have deeper feelings for Akane than she knew, and Akane grows anxious when she overhears her friends gossiping.

However, an incident gets her panicked and calling Yamada for comfort. He ends up meeting with her whole family, and it's very cute.

Takaya finally admits his feelings, and Yamada stands firm with his. However, the path is already clear for Akane.

Finally back home, and with the game's collection event coming to a close, Akane is in a rush to try and get enough fragments to make the coveted Prophet's Stone. However, it appears her efforts were not in vain. (The power of friendship!)

It's time to get their head in the game. Yamada is back to drills as the team prepares for the big competition, especially for beating their rival team, G-Raccoon. But...something seems to be going on behind the scenes? Hmm...

It definitely felt like there was some closure with Akane's past though, and I love how it seemed to solidify even more the relationship that her and Yamada have. I did appreciate seeing more, even if subtle, emotions from Yamada. It gives little insights into his character and give him some more depth. His love and seriousness about their relationship is so sweet. I can't wait to see where they go. His comment about marrying her?? Ahh!!

Of course Akane's family is adorable and just so silly. The little brother is very cute.

Akane's dad was hilarious with Yamada xD
Dad: "You like baseball?"
Yamada: "Sorry, I don't know much about it."
Dad: "Thank goodness, me either."
LMAO

I also liked the side story with Takaya. It's neat to see other characters get so much depth and emotion despite only being seen for a short amount of time. The author does a great job with story-telling there. Though I wish the scar had been introduced earlier. I think that would've tied things together more smoothly.

Akane getting backup with all her friends helping her out in the game was SO SWEET. I just loved the back-to-back, "We gotchu, boo!" Yamada smiling about it too, love it.

Things seem to be gradually returning to normal, despite the stress for the upcoming competition. However Alex's character seems very intriguing! I'm very curious to know what's up with the gossip there. But I guess we'll have to wait and see!

The end of the book mentioned how the author has been ill, which is unfortunate! While I'm eager for the next installment, I'm in no rush. Take care of yourself, author <3

Que dire de plus à part : Yamada, homme capable.

J’ai peut-être trouvé que l’arc autour de Takaya se réglait un peu rapidement, mais en même temps… un triangle amoureux n’était même pas envisageable et m’aurait clairement agacée, donc je préfère presque que ce soit expédié.

Et gros coup de cœur pour la famille d’Akane, que j’aime vraiment beaucoup. Ça apporte une douceur et une chaleur supplémentaires à l’histoire.

This is the first one in the series that was just okay to me :( This set of chapters just feels kind of slow and I’m getting bored with the introductions of additional characters that cause momentary “miscommunication” in the relationship. We’re on the third or fourth run of that trope in the series and I am not a fan. I love this series so much and am sad it’s slowing down

A quick and cute read - not sure why I decided to pick this up knowing that the author has been on an indefinite hiatus since 2024, but alas. I do love how the main character meets all these online gamers, and they're all attractive, nice people... incredibly unrealistic as there is a severe lack of misogynistic incels, but I greatly prefer this reality.

Je crois que c'est une fin pour moi avec ce manga. J'ai adoré la découvrir en animé ca a été un réel coup de cœur puis j'ai découvert les mangas et pareil j'ai adoré mais ça fait déjà chapitre où la magie s'envole.
Je fais ma drama queen mais je veux simplement dire que je vais arrêter de les acheter à la sortie et juste les emprunter quand j'en aurais envie.
Je trouve que finalement, on repart sur une histoire banale avec beaucouuup de choses qu'on a de moins en moins envie de voir.
La série traine un peu trop en longueur en allant dans des thématiques pleine de quiproquo inutile réglé en un tome à chaque fois.
En bref, je préfère m'arrêter ici pour clore une belle serie que j'aime quand même !

En esta parte conocemos más del pasado de Akane, también conocemos mas a su familia. Me gusta que Akane siempre tuvo presente a toda su familia y todas son personas muy linda ✨️ hasta su cuñado 🤭.

¡AME! que Yamada fuera corriendo al instante 😍 viendo la seguridad de Akane 💕 y que MÁS ENAMORADA por las frases que se lanza ¡AAAAHHH! adoro a ese hombre 📈✨️😍. ¡ADORO! como siempre busca la paz mental de Akane aclarando todo siempre 💖.

Por cierto, me parecio muy gracioso como el padre de Akane y Yamada escucharon la conversación de su hermana 🤣 tenian que se familia de Akane.

Oh, this volume was so cute - and I love the family visit and the childhood friend almost drama. But especially the family and especially Yamada being there and getting to know them. Cute, cute, cute!

Ominous cliffhanger in a way - I'm not big on the other woman drama but it seems this will be the case or maybe it will surprise me?

Hermoso como siempre
Este manga lo vengo siguiendo hace años, y nunca me decepciona. La relación de Akane y Yamada se siente más madura con cada volumen, y con este no fue la excepción, cada desafío que tuvieron que afrontar los hizo crecer y entender más cosas sobre su relación. y finalmente estoy al día!¡ tristemente este manga está en hiatus y no soy muy fan de la parte en la que se quedó… en serio que no me gusta que recurran a ponerle más inseguridades a akane (っ- ‸ - ς)
