As Sarah Masters approaches her eighteenth birthday, a dark force from her family's history resurfaces to enact a twisted revenge. Eighteen years earlier, her grandmother Agatha unleashed horrors on young Freddy, leaving his spirit forever scarred by the cruelty he faced.
Amid the joyful sounds of Christmas, Sarah finds herself trapped in Freddy’s sinister game, where she must relive his traumatic memories in painful detail. The ominous "Knock Knock" echoes through the house, heightening the fear that surrounds her.
Brace yourself for a chilling descent into the depths of human darkness, where unimaginable horrors await. This intense story delves deep into the most unsettling aspects of the human psyche, ensuring your nerves are tested, and your spirit forever changed by the chilling revelations that lie ahead.
This was such a horrific experience that is way better than the first book in the series. Which was titled Knock Knock. This story follows a girl named Sarah who tries to figure out why there’s a young boy named Freddy haunting her family! As you progress through the story you find out that sweet loving Grandma isn’t who you thought she was. Please be warned this isn’t your everyday nice horror story! Read the trigger warnings and be prepared for one hell of a ride!
Part of the Bloodline Echoes this being book 2. I shall reiterate from the first book, this is a horror, no rom, no spice, quite simply just paranormal, bl00d and g0re! Do not enter unless you have read the trigger warnings.
In this book we follow Sarah Masters’ story, let’s just say her 18th birthday celebration does not go to plan unless you want c0rpses and b0dy parts for gifts (hey, I’m not judging 🤪). She encounters an entity, Freddy and he has vengeance in mind, in the form of taking s0uls in the most gruesome way possible…however, some would say it’s justified given his back story.
Freddy ~ I’m putting it right out there, I loved this character, his singing songs, his rhymes just got me and even as a horror story, they made me smile. He leads Sarah through a series of harrowing discoveries, secrets, betrayals, a legacy that she will not uphold. It being in her bl00d does not make it a requisite.
Not giving anymore than this, suffice to say I enjoyed this one (dare I say) a little more than Knock, Knock but that could be my insane connection to Freddy 😈
The second book of the Bloodline Echos series, Hide and Seek, describes a plot similar to the first book, Knock Knock. Instead, Sarah Masters, who is celebrating her 18th birthday, must uncover the truth of her family's curse and stop the evil entity Freddy from enacting his vicious plan of revenge.
As a continuation of the bloodline echos series, there was some improvement regarding story building and plot from the first book, however, the same issues from book one continue in book two (repetition, story development, character development, grammatical errors, and pacing). The characters need more development to understand what exactly is going on. The implications that the characters had previous interactions and emotions towards one another but never fully developed and explained (such as Lily Simon, her friend and main character in book 1 who was hardly in the story and did not elaborate on their relationship or correlation with both characters' family curses.) The characters also lacked physical descriptions, which is a minor detail but helps to picture these characters. Although the story improved from the first book such as the magic system established and why the main characters are the ones to stop the curse, the inconsistencies with the chain of events and timeline continue.
Constantly throughout the book, the character will reach a conclusion or end of a plot and then the next chapter it's like it never happened. I can not tell what time or day it is in the story or how much time has passed between events. There are a large amount of reused phrases and descriptions in the story such as, “the air grows thick”, and “Grandma’s face, once so warm and inviting, now looks sinister in the dim light”, As if in response, a chill wind whips through the garden, carrying with it the faint echo of a child’s laughter,” etc…there are also some grammatical errors such as random quotations at the end of a sentence when there was no dialogue. I think another issue is that the character Freddy, haunts the character's nightmares, he wears a green and red sweater, and his main ‘jingle’ is “One, Two, Freddy’s coming for you,” Freddy’s voice sings, echoing from everywhere and nowhere. “Three, Four, better lock your door.” (pg. 151) this is similar to the character Freddy Krueger from the movie series A Nightmare on Elm Street, and that in itself could be a copyright issue. Overall I felt the novel itself had a good gore factor, but the rest of the story was lacking.
I received this ARC and the above is my voluntary forthright review.

Hide & Seek, the timeless game for children spanning generations providing cheap thrills day or night. But for Freddy, well, Hide & Seek deeply drenched in his depravity proves to be fatal for this that fall prey to his vengeance.
After Sarah arrives at her family's Bed & Breakfast to celebrate her 18th birthday, she is met with an uneasy feeling; whispers of secrets that shouldn't be revealed and fear visible in her family's faces. Desperate to answer the growing list of questions, Sarah learns of horrible atrocities and Freddy. As Sarah seeks out who Freddy is and why he is haunting her family, she learns that her grandmother wasn't who she thought.
This second book in the Bloodline Echoes Trilogy is full of horror, gore, and bl00d. Be warned, check your triggers before beginning this nightmare.
This was a great horror story that was a quick read. As Sarah celebrates her 18th birthday, she finds herself trapped in Freddy's game while trying to uncover the truth about her grandmother. Freddy's little old school rhymes gave me the chills. I hadn't heard some of these in years and hearing them in this context freaked me out. Freddy, as scary and chilling as he is, really is just s poor soul seeking revenge for what was done... and rightly so. I enjoyed this spooky little story. It was well written and easy to follow. The characters are great and well developed. If you like horror and can deal with some gruesome gory scenes, give this a read.
Book 2 of the Bloodline Echos HIDE & SEEK (There is paranormal, blood, && gore. Read trigger warnings! You have been warned)
"Be cautious, as this game knows no boundaries, only chaos && suffering!!"
This book was amazing! So many secrets in every corner, && every door in the bed && breakfast. Sarah has to break the curse NO MATTER WHAT! She is determined to help Freddy from what her grandmother has done. Sarah's visions from the past will leave you with goosebumps. && Freddy's riddles will taunt you!
The danger, the haunting, the evil dark legacy, the harsh truths, all the hunting and escaping with dreams as scary and weird as it could get—every bit of detail that came together made this book a wonderful spooky tale that stayed with me in my heart. I just loved the writing and how each aspect was laid out. Horror books are my favorite, and this one was just amazing. All horror lovers should definitely try this book out.
Another haunting tale from Ashley Marie. This book does not suffer from second book syndrome it was way better than the first one. A horrifically creepy paranormal horror story of blood and gore that follows. A girl who tries to figure out why there’s a young boy named Freddy haunting her family and targeting her. As you flip throw the pages you learn sometimes Grandma is it all that sweet innocent instead, she’s the big bad wolf.
The first novel was good but this one was amazing! I loved the characters and the storyline. I absolutely loved the creepy as hell nursery rhymes!
I felt so many emotions reading this one and the descriptions had me sick to my stomach quite a few times. If you like body horror this may be the series for you!
The tree creation… IYKYK!! That was sick Ashley! Absolutely SICK!
As she arrives and greats her family for her 18th birthday celebration all her family seems off and different. Freddy just wants to play a game with you but will you make it out alive? and what dark secrets are your family hiding. She must find all the jars to free Freddy and right the wrongs her family did. As always the book gives you the creeps and make you want to check under your bed at night. utterly addictive and terrifyin. As always check triggers before reading

If you love - 🖤paranormal 🖤Blood 🖤Gore 🖤Mystery Then this book is for you!
I really enjoyed this book. Usually book 1 is always the best in a series but with this one, I felt book 2 was better. It had more blood and gore and I feel the details surrounding the curse were better explained. Looking forward to book 3
Man!! Just when you think a book series can't get any better! The author hits you with book 2! Gosh! The Gore! The blood! The actual descriptions it's almost like your there!!! Man! This was heart pounding!
Oh my gosh! If I thought the first one was horrific and great, this one is even better! In "Hide and Seek" we discover more about the past and dark history of deeds. This one freaked me tf out. I love Freddy, but I would never be in the same room as him ever.
Amazing! I was hooked from the very beginning, honestly I do believe I liked it more than I first book knock knock and I freaking loved that book ! Highly recommend
An excellent and creepy entry. Ashley Marie knows how to set the scene with her villian, Freddy. But not all is as seems! I will be reading book 3 shortly 😀
