The Small Things: Finding God Again

Rate this book
The author shares their childhood belief in God and Jesus, which was based on innocence and positive aspects of the world. However, they later became atheist due to negative influences and the church's management. They fondly remember the stories of Jesus and the Resurrection, but struggled to fully understand them. The author's connection to God was lost in their late teens, and the discovery of their sexuality at age 14 pushed them away. Growing up in the Bible Belt with judgmental people, they were bullied and labeled as sinners. Despite this, the author acknowledges that they are all sinners and that Jesus died for us, leaving us with salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Powerful and uplifting

Beautifully written story about finding faith again through the struggles of mental illness and judgement of others. I pray others struggling with their faith will find this inspiring and will lead them back to Jesus
