A concise history of walking in Wales through the stories and voices of those who have trod the many paths, that straddle this ancient land, over past centuries. Each word of this book disturbs walking history and brings it alive as surely as our own boots do, as we strive to learn about the land many of us have roamed over the decades. Andrew Green has done a grand job here and his work deserves a wide audience among our fraternity. A Weary Wild Walker.

This is a wonderfully detailed and poetic journey through the history of walking in Wales. There is so much to enjoy with surprising stories and characters along the way. Everything is here from Romantic poets to protest marches and the creation of long distance paths. If you know and love Wales and enjoy walking this is the book for you!
