Michael Anderle inspires, challenges, gives rise to dreams, and encourages hope for the future. His characters are so real, you feel you could talk to them, interact with them. He brings forth emotions like no other. Once upon a time, I thought Robert Anson Heinlein to be the GOAT. Now, Heinlein would have to ask Anderle for the honor to hold his beer…
If you cherish hopes and dreams for a better future, enjoy this book, and work any way you can, to bring forth the values, morals, ethics, and adventure of the sort that Michael Anderle, and his amazing coauthors and support staff engender.
In case you wondered, Anderle and his merry crew want Earth to once again become enchanted…
I liked the earliest books in this series as the feisty young heroine is lifted from lower middle class to become savior of everything, by her blazing intellect, assisted by a rogue AI. The rest is mostly nonstop fighting, from brawls to intergalactic battles between enemy planets or pirates. Each punch , bullet, ray gun blast, or explosion is detailed over multiple pages, with minimal plot or character development. Comedic relief is generally limited to soldiers insulting each other, though there are occasional witty put downs. I managed to get about two thirds of the way through this series before it clogged my brain up so badly I had to give up. Maybe the last third is remarkable, but I just couldn't face another fifteen hundred pages of shoot-'em-ups instead of stories.
By most magical reading, this book kept me completely occupied to the detriment of my house and all my spare time. The plot is good and involved, the characters are rich and varied, and there are some great surprises in the plot. I high!y recommend this book.
Amazing,I flew through each book..I finished the series... I want more...like now , The characters they're interactions the dialogue the humor everything was spot on
