Being tied to the Fae is no guarantee the folk will open their gates to welcome you in. Believing they’ve earned a place in the Faerie kingdom of Tír na nÓg, Eala, a folklore academic, and her time traveler soulmate, Sionnach, are about to face the harsh reality that mischief and misdirection lurk at the very core of Fae bargains.
When Finnbheara, King of the Connacht Fae, confronts the pair on the threshold of his domain, he declares only Eala, by virtue of her Faerie origins, is welcome into his land of eternal youth. Desperate not to be separated from Sionnach, she agrees to a bargain with the wily king to grant the lovers a future together in the Fae realm.
The only help offered in solving the royal challenge is from the sexy yet duplicitous Faerie, Robber Bright, arrogant commander of the Host of a Thousand Wings…which might be worse than no help at all.
Now, with a looming lunar deadline and dark forces at work against them, Eala and Sionnach must time travel through the magical Veil, taking part in Irish history and folk tales to unravel the truths hidden in Finnbheara’s enigmatic challenge.

As someone who jumped into this series for an ARC read, I immediately grabbed the first book to get all caught up—and I’m so glad I did. A Kingdom of Deceit and Desire quickly grabbed me with its blend of Irish folklore, thrilling fantasy, and a spicy romance.
The story follows Eala and Sionnach as they fight for their love amidst fae intrigue, dangerous bargains, and magical riddles. Their love is tested as Eala makes a dangerous bargain with the Connacht Fae King, setting her on a quest to solve a cryptic riddle that could secure eternity for two souls in the Fae Realm. However, the stakes are high, and their journey through the magical Irish countryside is riddled with challenges.
The writing style is descriptive and immerses you in the lush Irish landscape. The fantasy elements blend well with a mix of Irish folklore. The romance is pretty steamy and intense, and Eala and Sionnach’s relationship deepens as they navigate the challenges thrown their way.
The pacing of the book is quick, pulling you along on a suspenseful ride through the veil. While some plot twists were expected, others completely blindsided me.
I highly recommend to anyone who loves beautifully written fantasy romance with a steamy spice and an a dive into Ireland’s magical lore.
This is the second book in the series. Unfortunately, I haven't managed to read book one yet. I would definitely recommend you read them in order. I don't want to take away from this book because it is well written, and all the world building you'd expect is there. It just took me a little longer to get to grips with what was going on, jumping in at this point!
I loved that this was an Irish folklore fae story... my mother and my entire maternal family are Irish, so I love anything that celebrates my Irish heritage! The world building and mechanics is explained well, giving hints of Irish folklore along the way.
The story was engaging and had me turning the pages. I wanted Eala and Sionnach to solve the riddle! The characters of Eala and Sionnach were just so sweet and fierce together. I like fated mates and loved that they found each other despite being from different times... it is meant to be! They go through so much together and deserve their happy ever after. Perhaps making a bargain with a cunning fae king was not such a smart idea! The ending has me wanting to read book three, but I think I'll go back and read them all in order to really get the full experience.
With thanks to the author, City Owl Press and Love Books Tours for providing a copy of the book. This is my honest review, which I'm leaving voluntarily.
Pardon me while I swear prolifically and creatively. That ending has me in an absolute white-hot furor to discover what will happen next. Picking up hard on the heels of the previous book, the future Eala and Sion thought they had secured is in doubt once again. This book took us on even more journeys through history and myth, and made me doubt everything it showed me. I’m not even going to try to guess what the author has hiding up her sleeve for the next one, I only know I NEED to read it as soon as I can get my hands on it. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
4.5 stars (réalta) for this exciting second installment in the fae destiny series!
Our intrepid historical travelers and soul savers Eala and Sionnach have made it to Tir na nÓg, but will only be granted access to stay should they be able to solve King Finnbheara’s riddle. After the adventures of saving seven souls using the seven virtues in the first book, the two are back at it using the Veil to visit past, both true and mythic, to find the answer that will bring them to salvation and keep our anamchara together!!
My absolute favorite thing about this series is the way we are given just bits and pieces, drips and drabs of Irish history and folklore! Eala and Sion travel across time to places both real and fantastical, meeting legendary heroes of history and mystical creatures of legend (my personal favorite was the drop in for Hugh O’Donnell, where folks chanted his last name- and made me feel like they were chanting for me)! We were also given new villains this time, ones I found more mysterious and intriguing- and set us up into more tied to Irish mythology!!
Eala and Sion’s soulmate bond is what is the driving force behind everything- these two are drawn to each other, despite being born in different lifetimes, through good and bad, and the way they are able to support each other fully and meet each other where they’re at, allowing the other to feel their feelings is so wonderful to see in characters. They grew as individuals so much in book one, and this felt like more of a learning how to grow as a pair!!
Thank you so much to Leslie O’Sullivan and NetGalley for a chance to read this in exchange for an honest review!
This is actually a book 2 of the Fae Destiny series and sadly was the first one that I have read. I don't read blurbs beforehand and there was no indication on the cover that this wasn't the first book! But, I really was drawn to the beautiful front cover image and colour of this one, so may have picked up both books had I known sooner.
Due to this, it took me quite a good portion of the book getting to grips with the whole world and system - the Fae elements and of course the characters and their back-story. I struggled through this first section and had to force myself to plod through it.
However, the storyline overall, once I'd finished and looked back on it as a whole, was intriguing and beautifully written. I loved the setting - but definitely would have to go back to book one and discover all the world building, to really appreciate it all.
The premise was great and I loved the way the couple came together to try and solve the riddle - which of course was ever changing due to the Fae elements at play. I liked our characters in the main, but again, didn't quite connect with them as well as I should (after struggling at first) I did really love the part Robber Bright played in the whole story.
Obviously the issues I had with this are kind of my own fault - publisher note though, please add the book number to the cover to help future readers. This could be easily rectified and I'd advise readers to read the series in order - I definitely want to go back and start again and then re-read this book as I'm certain that I'll get more out of it then.
I can appreciate how well written this was and what a great premise. I'm also sure that I'd bond well with the characters from the start and love to watch their romance develop naturally. The descriptive writing allowed the story to flow well without overwhelming and I feel that I'd enjoy seeing how this world builds at the beginning.
Watch this space for an edited review in the future....
The way this one took me for an unexpected ride! I thought I knew where this one was headed. No, I didnt. This book is also quite a bit spicier than the first one. Which we all know Im here for that. The ending though had me going, wait!! Wait!! What?! Im convinced this author is going to be the author of endings where I go wait!? No!! I NEED MORE!!! She did it to me on the last book too! Great suspense for book 3! Now I’m impatiently waiting, AGAIN! Lol!
This exciting Fantasy Romance is book 2 of A Fae Destiny series. The Romance in the book is a pre established relationship from the previous book, where the characters are fighting for their love. The book is spicy, with frequent spicy scenes. The spicy scenes are descriptive as well. The book moves at a quick pace following Eala, and Sionnach as they work on the bargain that Eala made with the Fae king for their love. They are faced with challenges as they have to travel through the veil, as well as dealing with the problems Ealas new Fae tutor brings. This book is thrilling, and steamy. It has your heart racing non stop as you get lost in the suspenseful challenge these characters face.
Book two and the love story of Eala and Sion continues. In this book we veil travel across the Irish countryside and go to the siege at Kilkenny castle. Enter a faerie scoundrel in this book known as Robalai Geal also known as Robber Bright. King of the Connacht Fae send Eala off to solve a riddle if she can solve it he will allow two souls eternity in the Fae Realm. Is Eala making a deal with the devil? Will Robber Bright the commander help or will he be Eala’s downfall? They must travel again through the magical veil stopping along the way to make love. But they only have a few short nights until the lunar eclipse to solve the Kings riddle. Will Eala and Sion have their happily ever after… “Chefs kiss”
I really like the framework of this story and characters. The setting is immersive and described in beautiful detail.
What I didn’t like as much: There was quite a bit of repetition that dragged the pacing down at some points. The whole journey to solve the riddle vs. the ultimate answer they came to was confusing to me at times, and didn’t make sense in the end. I didn’t feel the satisfying payoff of the work.
I did enjoy the connection between Sion and Eala, as well as the last act of the FMC in the final scene.
*Thanks so much to The Nerd Fam for providing me with a copy to read and review. All thoughts are my own and are left of my own accord.*
This is a captivating continuation of the series, filled with political intrigue, unexpected twists, and complex relationships. The character development is strong, and the stakes are higher than ever. The book was fast paced and the rich world-building and suspenseful plot make it a fantastic read. A solid four stars for fans of spicy fantasy.
This is the 2nd book in the series and boy does it drag you along.. keep you immersed in the fantasy world full of steamy and intense love and challenges that the MCs must overcome.. the writing is brilliantly descriptive and the worldbuilding and storyline have you turning the pages faster and just promising yourself one more chapter..
If you love fae bargains, magical quests, and a love story tested by ancient trickery, Leslie O’Sullivan’s A Kingdom of Deceit and Desire is an enthralling ride through the veils of Irish myth and mortal defiance. With a richly imagined world, gripping emotional stakes, and the ever-present danger of fae mischief, this second installment in the Fae Destiny series is a masterclass in the art of fae-driven fantasy.
A World of Trickery, Power, and Eternal Youth Eala, a folklore scholar with a Fae bloodline, and her soulmate Sionnach, a time traveler, believe they've earned entry into the fabled kingdom of Tír na nÓg. But the fae are never so easily satisfied. The ruthless King Finnbheara denies them entry as a couple, and in true fae fashion, he offers a bargain. Eala must solve a royal challenge to secure their future together — a task fraught with peril, riddles, and the slippery half-truths that only the Fae can spin.
This is where the story shines. The fae realm of Tír na nÓg is as mesmerizing as it is menacing. The worldbuilding is lush and immersive, with vivid descriptions that pull you deep into the heart of Irish myth. From misty veils to shifting timelines, the atmosphere thrums with ancient magic. You can feel the chill of the fae's indifference, the electric hum of something not quite human lurking just beyond sight.
A Love Tested by Time, Trickery, and Fate The emotional core of the story is Eala and Sionnach's love, which is as powerful as it is precarious. Their relationship is a shining thread of hope running through the fog of deception. It’s a love that defies worlds, timelines, and even fae kings. Sionnach’s unwavering devotion is swoon-worthy, and Eala's fierce determination to protect him at all costs makes her a heroine worth rooting for. Together, they face ancient forces with nothing but wit, courage, and love — and that emotional pull is what kept me turning the pages.
If you enjoy stories where lovers face impossible odds, their love tested by tricksters, bargains, and fate itself, then this story will hit you right in the heart. Watching them confront the King of the Connacht Fae, knowing every word spoken is a potential trap, was absolutely delicious. It’s like walking a tightrope while knowing the wind could shift at any second — and you can’t look away.
A Cast of Complicated Allies and Enemies Robber Bright, the cocky, enigmatic commander of the Host of a Thousand Wings, is an absolute scene-stealer. If you like your morally gray characters with a dash of arrogance and mystery, Robber Bright will have you hooked. He’s every bit the charming villain, offering help that feels more like a curse in disguise. His motivations remain murky, and I loved every second of trying to figure out if he was friend, foe, or something far more dangerous.
The fae court politics are deliciously tangled, and the side characters, from tricksters to ancient kings, are as richly developed as the main duo. Each character brings their own motives and secrets, adding to the tangled web of deception that Eala must navigate. And just when you think you know who to trust, O’Sullivan reminds you that in the world of the fae, trust is a luxury you can’t afford.
Bargains, Quests, and Irish Folklore Come to Life One of the most enchanting parts of this book is its clever use of Irish mythology. The legends aren’t just referenced — they’re lived. Eala and Sionnach’s journey takes them through Irish history and folklore, where they become active participants in the stories that have shaped the fae realm. It’s a brilliant touch that makes the story feel timeless and epic. For readers who love stories that blend myth with action, it’s pure perfection.
Their journey isn’t just a physical one — it’s a quest of wit, will, and unraveling riddles steeped in ancient lore. If you enjoy puzzles, magical tests, and looming deadlines that add pressure to every choice, you’ll love the way this challenge unfolds. The "lunar deadline" is a ticking clock you feel with every page, adding a pulse of urgency to every move they make.
Personal Reflection As someone who loves tales of love and deception in magical worlds, this book felt like it was crafted just for me. The constant push and pull between Eala's heart and her duty hit all the right emotional notes. I loved watching her outwit powerful beings with nothing but her intellect and resolve. The fae’s love for loopholes and wordplay had me hanging on every word, just as desperate to figure out the challenge as Eala herself.
The dynamic with Robber Bright had me hooked. His sharp tongue, veiled threats, and maddening charm make him exactly the kind of fae character I can’t get enough of. He’s the type of character I love to hate and hate to love. And the complexity of Eala and Sionnach’s romance — two souls fighting for their future in a world that wants to tear them apart — is the stuff of epic love stories.
I also appreciated the subtle exploration of power, legacy, and the price of belonging. Eala's fae heritage is a double-edged sword, and watching her grapple with her identity — half-mortal, half-fae, and yet entirely herself — was as satisfying as it was empowering. This story isn’t just about love and bargains; it’s about self-discovery and reclaiming power in a world that constantly seeks to take it from you.
Why You’ll Love This Book
Fae bargains with high stakes — If you love fae trickery and watching mortals try to outwit ancient, all-knowing beings, this book will scratch that itch. Star-crossed lovers with soul-deep devotion — Eala and Sionnach are everything you want from a couple fighting against impossible odds. Their love isn’t just romantic — it’s defiant. Time travel with a twist — Traveling through Irish folklore and history brings the world to life in a vivid, cinematic way. A morally gray, too-charming-for-his-own-good side character — Robber Bright is going to steal your heart, and you’ll let him. A richly woven tapestry of Irish folklore — If you love mythology that feels alive, you’ll love how O’Sullivan blends history, myth, and modern storytelling.
Final Verdict Breathtakingly magical, emotionally intense, and filled with heart-stopping stakes, A Kingdom of Deceit and Desire weaves a web of love, lies, and lore that will keep you spellbound until the final page. Eala's journey to reclaim her love, her power, and her place in the fae realm is a gripping tale of courage, wit, and tenacity. The fae are as treacherous as ever, the love story is unforgettable, and every bargain feels like a double-edged sword.
If you love stories where clever heroines outmaneuver wily kings, where romance burns bright against the shadow of deceit, and where Irish myth comes to life in all its haunting beauty, then this book deserves a place on your shelf.
It’s not just a story — it’s a dance with destiny. And in a world ruled by the fae, every step could be your last.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I always really struggle when I hear about a book with a strong FMC because so often they are written in a way that makes the characters not accessible or even really all that likable. Kingdom of Deceit and Desire does not have that problem. FMC Eala is strong-heroine perfection. She is smart, witty, beautiful, vulnerable, flawed and despite her newly discovered fae roots, she is completely authentic. Love her and the way she is written.
Sion, her MMC counterpart, is just as wonderfully written. Once a farmer, now caught up in Fae mischief that has spanned hundreds of years, Sion is a rough rogue of a man who is completely devoted to Eala as they twist through time on their adventure.
Like the first book of the series, Kingdom of Deceit and Desire is filled with delicious Fae riddles and trickery, building on the momentum from the first book. The story surges on as the pair fight time, unravel mysteries, and weave in and out of history. And of course get a few moments to slow down and enjoy some sexy times as well!
Loved this book! There is so much wit and fun to the story, I’ll be laughing one second and then heart pounding the next. So happy there is one more in the series to go!
O'Sullivan has created a masterpiece in this second book of this series. Like the first, A Kingdom of Deciet and Desire is full of Irish folklore, mystical beings, steamy romance scenes, and tumultuous scenarios. The vivid world building and detailed character descriptions quickly enraptures readers, drawing them into the chaos and emotions involved in completing the assigned quest.
Eala and Sionnach balance eachother perfectly as they fight for their future together. Finnbheara (the Fae King) has not made that easy for them, as he has his own ideas for Eala. There are twists and turns readers will not see coming, yet they make the journey all the more exciting and riveting. Just when you believe our couple can take a (well deserved) breath another shock awaits. Admittedly, by the end of this glorious tale I was left speechless - Wait! No! That did not just happen!! Oh, but it did, and I will have to wait for book 3 to discover just where this latest path leads. O'Sullivan has me eagerly awaiting her next book in this series of myths and mysteries.
I received a gift copy of this book from the author and gladly provide this review. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
This is the second in a series, something I didn't realise when I started reading. You would definitely benefit from reading these in order as I felt really lost at the start, and there were still subjects alluded to throughout that i had no prior knowledge of. I was initially attracted to this because of the cover and the promise of a spicy romance. There were definitely some spicy moments, but they often felt swallowed by the action going on around them. The story is action-packed, and non-stop from start to finish. As I had to get to know the characters and work out what was going on, it was a slower start for me, but I think if you had read book 1 you would jump right into this and absolutely fly. There's a lot of Irish mythology, which is really interesting. The Fae way is also really interestingly described. I was expecting the very final twist, but there were other plot points I didn't see coming, so it was very cleverly done. It's ended on a cliffhanger, so there is clearly more to come from the series, which I'm sure will have a great fan following among fantasy, romance lovers.
Eala and Sion are back together again to solve the King's challenge. The only help they've been offered is the assistance of a Faerie- Robber Bright. Can the 2 (or 3) of them work together to solve the challenge before the deadline? Will they be able to reveal the truths hidden in Irish history and folk tales? Read to find out!
Leslie always leaves us on a cliffhanger! I really enjoyed the Irish history and lore in the thing book. As well as seeing Eala and Sion's story unfold more, I love their love for each other. This book was significantly spicier than the first book, so keep that in mind.. The plot twists in this one are just as good as in the first book. Also, really loved the fantasy element woven into Irish history here, it's also why I enjoyed the first book so much. I did find this book a little slow at points, but overall I enjoyed the book and definitely recommend this series! Excited to see what book 3 brings!
Thank you to The Nerd Fam and Leslie O'Sullivan for a chance to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
So I’ll be honest this isn’t my preferred genre. I’m a Romantasy girly (witch’s, dragons, vampires) an I don’t usually deliver into any sub genres like this one about Irish folklore. However I will say I honestly enjoyed this book. I got selected for an ARC read and I hadn’t read the first one so I went got a copy and read it. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, so when I finished that one I jumped to the second book and blew through it. I love how you get to learn about Irish folklore and there’s still the fantasy aspect. I’m a sucker for a cool looking cover and I’ll be honest I read the synopsis of the book and requested the ARC. I’m so glad I did. While it’s not my usual read it was well written. The characters were developed well you definitely need to read it in order or it won’t make sense but they develop the individual characters well and the relationships between them. If you love fantasy and Irish folklore this is a great read. The book comes out December 3rd so go grab the first book in the series and buckle up for a wonderful trip through Ireland. Thank you to The Nerd Fam for the gifted ARC. #akingdomofdeceitanddesire
O'Sullivan has masterfully crafted a continuation to her first book, A Kingdom of Souls and Shadows. This book beautifully blends Irish folklore, tales, and legends against the backdrop of the Irish countryside as Eala and Sion work to solve an impossible riddle given so that they may enter the kingdom of the Fae together for a life of eternity.
The romance between Eala and Sion grows as they work against time to solve the riddle before the Lunar eclipse. There are many unexpected twists and turns with this fast paced journey, and times when hope seems to be outside of their grasp. But they are clever and some help comes from an untrusted source. The ending left me seriously not expecting what happened and hopeful for a third installment to this wonderful story
Book Two in O'Sullivan's Fae Destiny series contains an intricate puzzle to solve, and star-crossed lovers Eala and Sion are put through the wringer physically and emotionally, which makes for an unputdownable, page-turning escape!
In some ways, our romantic duo's roles have been reversed from Book One, which only deepens the reader's connection to their story. O'Sullivan expounds upon her fae mythology with brilliant world-building, and a mischievous, sexy new character levels up the intrigue and excitement of the experience. I really enjoyed the 'side quests' and how they related to the overall riddle; fans of Irish folklore will be thrilled with Deceit and Desire's version of tales both original and classically inspired. Put on a fire, grab a cozy blanket and some cocoa, and settle in for a delicious, heart pounding ride.
I will start off by saying that this is the second book of a series. I had not read the first book but really wish I had, as I spent the first quarter of the book feeling a little lost getting to grips with who was who and what was going on.
Once I got into it, I really enjoyed this book. Eala and Sion are destined to be together. They are trying to gain access to Tír na nÓg but must solve a riddle set by the fairie king. Together, Eala and Sion work on solving the riddle by revisiting Irish legends. They also reluctantly receive help from Robber Bright to complete the quest. But, as fae are involved, nothing is quite what it seems.
I liked the relationship between Eala and Sion and I enjoyed the mischief of Robber Bright. The writing was beautifully descriptive without being overwhelming.
I recommend this for fans of fantasy/romantasy. Some spice 🌶🌶
I gladly say that I wasn’t disappointed with this second book!
I’m eager to read this after enjoying the first one, and yes, I’m happy with this second book as well. As the first one, this book filled us with a grand journey, continuing from where they left off previously. Again we been fed with adventure, always at the edge of our seat while at the same time trying to solve things with them as well, along with the ups and downs.
I love that in this adventure it includes one of my favorite, the 7 deadly sins, creatively. Also, there are no rest for us too as there’s always thrill from the start till almost the end, which I find it’s good and entertaining. Overall, I truly enjoy reading this second installment and can’t wait to read the next as well! ❤️
Irish folklore meets romantasy in this sequel of the Fae Destiny series.
Eala and Sion are challenged to a new bargain by the devious king of the fae. If the task is complete and riddle solved, the pair may stay together in the Fae Realm. If not, Sion will be separated from his soulmate. An unexpected dragon riding fae named Robber Bright, joins their quest as a somewhat tutor and guide. Mischief and mayhem follow the trio for a truly adventurous journey with an unexpected ending!
These books make my little heart so happy. This series has Outlander vibes mixed with fantasy, romance, and Irish folklore. Eala and Sion are lovable characters with their own unique flaws and accomplishments. I must say I am very interested to learn more about Robber Bright, the morally grey dragon riding fae who joined this book! The ending has me wanting more!
Book 2 in the series, and I think this has become my new favorite so far. Thank you for letting me ARC read this/ be street team. Loved this.
We follow the FMC Eala, and the MMC Sionnach through their journey of love, bargains, and riddles. The world building is brilliant and so is the character details. I’m loving the character development and growth since the first book.
Eala ended up making a dangerous bargain with the Fae King, making her go on a journey to solve a cryptic riddle that could help secure eternity for two souls in the Fae world. Everything is explained so well. I will say I felt it being a bit fast paced, yet at the same time it blended in with it smoothly.
Eala and Sionnach’s love is beautiful yet fierce and I’m here for the ride.
"A Kingdom of Deceit and Desire" by Leslie O'Sullivan captivated me with its enticing blend of fantasy, romance, and suspense. Eala and Sionnach's love story intensifies as they navigate treacherous fae politics and ancient bargains.
The author's descriptive writing and steamy scenes had me hooked, and the world-building is impressive. While some plot twists were predictable, the pacing kept me engaged.
My only drawbacks were minor character developments and a few convenient plot devices. However, the cliffhanger ending expertly sets up the next installment.
Leslie O'Sullivan's Fae Destiny series has me invested. Bring on book 3!
A Kingdom of Deceit and Desire Leslie O'Sullivan 4.5 ⭐️
I love this story! I made a point of reading book one as this is book two in the series. I'm glad I did as it sets up the relationship between our main characters Eala and Sionnach, who now have to fight for their love.
This story has good pacing, I found myself not wanting to put it down, there were so many twists and turns. I also really enjoyed the Irish folklore elements. We also get wonderful world building as well as great character development. Overall I had a great time with these first two books, I can't wait to see what is next.
I love reading novels by Leslie O'Sullivan and I was eager to jump back into this Irish folklore inspired novel, I really loved book 1 so I had a burning desire to find out what happened next. I was not disappointed, I loved A Kingdom of Deceit and Desire, I just love the characters, Eala and Sion are just perfect for each other. I loved how this novel had it all, the mystery of the riddle solving, the danger with the deal making and the spicy romance. This story is written with a purpose to the story and is delivered in a way that captures the reader. The descriptions are so lavish that they create vivid imagery. This novel makes a great sequel and I can't wait to see what's next!
This is a nice book. What I don’t know is that it is the second book of the series (I haven’t the first one sadly) and some scenes contain much spice. I feel super dumb about not knowing those or perhaps forget about them, please forgive me (nervous laugh). To the positive side! What I like about the book is the Irish folktales, fairies (right?), fantastical fantasy plot, and wonderful writing. Let’s not forget how interesting the characters are. Overall, I mostly enjoy A Kingdom of Deceit and Desire!
Thank you City Owl Books, Leslie O’Sullivan, and Love Books Tours for a copy! All opinions are my own.
Eala and Sionnach persist in their pursuit, seeking their way into the Fae gates, when Finnbheara, the King of the Connacht Fae, injects a deceitful element, offering a bargain that would gain their entry into the eternal youth gates of the Fae realm.
The lure and sexual tension build to a new level for the Irish soulmates as they traverse time via the magic veil, they must resolve a cunning riddle within a lunar deadline, alongside an encounter with majestic dragons and the egotistical Fae Robber Bright, Commander of the Host of Thousand Wings.
What lies ahead for the two lovers? Find out in book 3, A Kingdom of Witches and Wanderers, available on 11/4.
A kingdom of deceit and desire fae destiny by Leslie O’Sullivan. Book of of a fae destiny. Wow. I loved the cover. Absolutely gorgeous. This is book 2. It feels like I've just gone back to the fae world. I loved the world building. The setting. Even the characters names. Sion and Eala were my favourite. The place was unique. I never heard of the place before. This was fast paced and I was hooked. I love this series. It's spicy. More than book 1. I'm looking forward to the next book. I would definitely recommend this book/series.
Picking up right where book one left off, we are thrust into Eala and Sion's world and the new riddle they must face together, in order to remain together in the Fae realm.
This story was fast paced, had many intriguing magical elements, and I actually enjoyed this one MORE than book one. There was bargains, romance, spice, magic, and lots of twists and turns.
At no point did the plot lag to me, I do recommend reading book one first, however - or you might be thoroughly confused on who's who!
This story ends on a cliffhanger, and I am begging for book 3!
A Kingdom of Deceit and Desire is book 2 in the Fae Destiny Series by Leslie O'Sullivan. It's wonderful to immerse myself into this world again. This book is full of suspense, steam and my goodness the twists I did not see coming!! Totally surprised me!! I can't wait to see where this series and this author go. Recommend.
