A great overview of Alice Walker's life, work, and activism for younger readers. It broaches tough topics, which I appreciated. One odd elimination is any mention of Walker's relationship with Tracy Chapman, which seems to me would have fit in with the book's topics/themes. Overall, a decent choice for students interested in Walker.
