I’m not usually one to sign up for an arc because I am not a fan of the deadline. I understand why it’s required but I like to read at my own pace.

Anyways, I went down the rabbit hole again 🫤. The arc I received did not have the cover or title to what I agreed to. I emailed the author about it but got no response. I wasn’t going to bother with the read, but decided to push ahead.

This book wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t that good either. Griffin was a self centred cheater. After sleeping with his known true mate on the eve of his wedding to the woman he is supposedly in love with, he has Mira thrown in the dungeon where she would have died from neglect. She was saved by a friend. Then 5 years later she is miraculously a widowed billionaire running a company 🤷. She is dumb enough though to repeatedly drive on her own with no security, where she is conviently put in danger.

There is a secret child that barely factors into the story.

Then there is Griffith’s evil wife and Mira’s evil fiancée who is conveniently Griffiths half or step brother as the big villains but neither of the mains seem to figure out for a long period or take it seriously enough when they do.

There is a fast forward epilogue which is not properly labelled as such with such an abrupt ending. I kept trying to turn the page on my kindle.

All in all I’m really just glad this book was short 😑.

Has anyone read Gertty Rudrow’s Lycan Prince’s Fated Omega? It’s the same story.

Confused....

I don't know if Ms. Eve copied Gerrty Rudraw's Lycan Prince's Mate or vise versa but it's almost the same exact book. I tried to report it to Amazon without success. I read Ms. Rudraw's book first, so I was confused when I began to read this one and only the names changed and some of the circumstances.

what in the what

I’m not even sure I can finish this mess. What billionaire goes to a public park with her kid? What type of billionaire doesn’t have a driver and security! Like this book makes no sense. She keeps wondering why the ass clown keeps coming for her but a paragraph earlier she says she never accepted the rejection. All business the world over can be done without being physically present it’s called Skype or Teams! How did she not know victor was griffins brother. The premise sounded good, but it’s lame

I don't know guys, I'm beginning to think that this author is just not for me.

NOTE: From what I've read on the other reviews here, there's a good chance this book was plagiarized. I have not read the other book that is mentioned by more than one reviewer (The Lycan Prince's Fated Mate by Gertty Rudraw), so I'm not going to comment on that. Just the review of this book.

There were the makings of a good storyline, but so many missed opportunities, and breadcrumbs that lead nowhere. Basic story is FMC, Mira, is mistreated in her pack and is saved by her fated mate Griffin, a powerful (and rich) alpha. He brings her to his pack and makes her a maid. She's not allowed to tell anyone that they are mates - a great beginning, amirite? That's because he's already got a fiancée and she's got him hoodwinked into thinking she's some sweet little thing. We all KNOW that's not true. Turns out, she's pretty evil. OF COURSE she sets Mira up, and OF COURSE Griffin won't even allow Mira to defend herself, OF COURSE he publicly rejects her and throws her into the dungeon. She realizes she's pregnant from their one and only encounter, and escapes. The next thing ya know, it's 3 years later and she's a billionaire. He pissed because he FINALLY realizes what a manipulative bitch his wife is, and he decides he wants Mira back. Although it was fun to watch him grovel, not gonna lie.

While many authors use time jumps, this one is never really explained. The only thing we're told is that after she escaped, she married an older man who was a billionaire and left her everything when he died. Oh the convenience!! I mean, she must have met him the very night she ran from the pack. Either that, or she's quite a fast worker.

I'm finishing out the series, but I think that's it for me for this author.

So glad I didn't waste money on this

Starting from 23% I just started to skim pages and chapters. Apparently, HEA means the book is good, it's not. A weak fl who is OK with abuse and betrayal because the ML had a sad childhood.

While he slept with another woman, giving her betrayal pains is skimmed over and excused, by her, no less, she feels guilty that she'd going to marry someone else. What?

So much political intrigued, not done very well, and wasted words of (I want her, I want him, I shouldn't, but just this once) huge eye roll.

I'm removing all books by this author. Not worth the time, to skip 5 chapters at a time of rollover doormat who is fine with getting stepped on, because of the mate bond.

Side note, child is there as an accessory. Doesn't play much of a part on the plot. Just as a secret because she doesn't want him to know she kept a reminder of their one night together.

Copycat book

This is the case of what looks like plagiarism at its worst. This is nearly the exact same storyline and plot point for point as Gertty Rudraw's Lycan Prince's Fated Mate. So, either this author is using different pseudonyms and recycling book plots and tweaking the story just a tiny bit to give it a different title, or this author is shamelessly plagiarizing someone else's ideas. Hate to break the bad news, but this book sucks compared to the one by Gertty since the male lead doesn't do anything to redeem himself and Mira's attraction to him is sickening after the way he's treated her. If you want a doormat to forgive a douche-canoe for rejecting, humiliating, and imprisoning her -- being as hateful as another being can be to someone, only to show up later claiming he's entitled to her after throwing her away like a used condom and humiliating her in front of a the entire palace, then go for it, but I hated it. I didn't just hate how it was ripped off of another work, but I hated the characters: Griffin was an entitled jerk without an ounce of remorse for using and then rejecting somebody after calling her a whore and a manipulator and not believing or even trying to listen to her side of things, he was just unforgivable, entitled, arrogant, narcissistic scum; but then she was panting after him anyway -- and that's why I hated her. So, in general, there wasn't really anything I liked about this book except the premise, and then I realized -- oh, I've read this before, and by somebody who wrote it better.

Mira is an Omega in a caste system pack. As such, she is treated as a slave, especially since she has no family. One day she is ordered to clean the room of the Alpha's son, Karl. Karl thinks he is in control and he is a cruel, demeaning and demanding. He insists that Mira pleasure him, but she fights back. She ends up accused of trying to force herself on Karl, so is ordered to become a breeder. While she is defending herself, a stranger appears. Prince Griffin gives her a chance to explain and knows she has no future with her current pack. He takes control....and orders her to go to his home.

Mira and Griffin are mates. However, things aren't as rosy as Mira expects. Turns out Griffin doesn't believe in fated mates and Mira doesn't end up being loved or cherished. She is now Griffin's personal maid and he is engaged to another, Lilith, a very beautiful woman.

Happiness for Mira is not meant to be. She will end up a victim of more lies necessitating her departure from Griffin's palace. She will find out own way in the world, but you know things have to come full circle. Fate will bring Griffin and Mira together again. Remember though, true love never runs smooth.

Second chance for Fated mates

An action packed shifter romance, with drama, action, trust, discovery, love and a HEA.

When Mira was at her lowest, about to be made a breeder by her alpha following his son lying about her, she's saved by Prince Griffin who she recognises as her mate. But after being sent to his palace he explains that he's engaged and not about to stop the wedding.

Mira doesn't want to cause problems and accepts her place, though when she gets a heat she finds Griffin is there to help, much to his bride's displeasure when she finds out. When the king dies she's given the chance to escape and she takes it to find a new life for herself.

Five years later Griffin can't replace his father on the throne without an heir, he is losing deals to another company and is seeing another side to his wife. But when he goes to meet the CEO of Diamond Corp he's shocked to discover it's Mira, and still believing what others had said about her in the past he's slow to trust her again; though the more time they spend together the harder it is to deny the attraction between their wolves. And she's been keeping his son from him.

When I fell into the the rejected mates, paranormal romance hole, I was looking for some top-tier, belly-crawling level of groveling. This did not hit. After all the absolute shit that Griffin put Mira through, he did not do enough to redeem himself (if that's even possible.)

Between the making your fated mate work as a maid for you while you're engaged to someone else, giving her a soft rejection but still making your mate (who is emotionally attached to you - like she can feel you having sex with your fianceé) work around you, and then turning on her when you just go along with the rumors that she's a social climber who sleeps her way to the top (ignoring the fact that she was a virgin when you slept with her.) Griffin throws her in a dungeon because of these rumors and we're supposed to root for him to be with Mira? No.

The writing was weak. The plot seemed to meander with no real consistency to keep it interesting. And the characters were weakly written. It also appears, based on other reviews, that this may be plagiarized. My rating and review are based on the contents of the book, and not on the plagiarizing claims, but if this is stolen, then I can only hope the source material is marginally better.

Mira Raven, is a beautiful misdone omega from the Darkmoon pack. She was accused by Karl, the future alpha of Darkmoon pack of attacking him. She was innocent but the alpha was about to sentence her to a lifetime of being a pack breeder. Till Prince Griffin Thorne stopped it. The two immediately knew they were mates.
But life was never that easy for Mira. The Prince had a fiancee, Lilith. And soon she sets Mira her up ,accusing her of manipulating Griffin, the future alpha. He falls for Lilith lies and rejects her.
What follows is injustice, sadness, a sweet surprise, manipulations, multable attempts at murder, a coup, that shows their true evil and finally forgiveness and a happy ending for our Mira and Griffin.
The sweet, excited innocent MFC looking forward to a bright happy future with her mate..only for darkness to desend upon her and be rejected, rebuilt herself into, Mrs. Diamond. And they do have..eventually their happy ending.

Oooh this one out me through the emotional wringer, you can't really guess all the twists and turns written into this story.

When Mira is saved by Griffin, the lycan princes there's a hope that her life is about to turnaround, he obviously feels the mate bond the way she does and cares for her but he made choices a long time ago that are about to impact their future in a very big way.

People interfering where they have no right to, people being given more entitlement than they ever should and the way Mira is treated by those around her will make you want her to come out on top.

A brilliantly engaging story with some steamy romance involved.

Before reading this, I saw a review claiming this book was similar to another one called Lycan Prince's Fated Mate. Having just read that title, I was curious about how "similar" they could be. It turns out the two books are nearly identical up until the middle, where the story diverges briefly before the whodunit, which features the same guilty parties. I don't know which came first (couldn't be bothered to check), but both books are neck and neck when it comes to nonsensical storylines and plot holes. The author of this title managed to make the story even shallower and the characters more unlikeable. The female lead, Mira, is somehow even dumber, and the male lead, Griffin, is more repugnant. A mess.

This book promised to be a great read...then it broke that promise. I got so bored and frustrated with all the unnecessary background crap with the civil reform and business nonsense that I didn't care about the romance any more. Also, the fact that the h kept the kid a secret through 98.5% of the book is bullshit.

**NOTE: This book is a little too much like Lycan Prince's Fated Mate by Gertty Rudraw. Nearly the exact same story, just a slightly different beginning. The cover is nearly the same, as well. I feel like Ms. Eve didn't even try to make an original story OR use an original cover.

About halfway through this book, I realized I’d read it before. This must be a re-release of a re-edited book.

Anyway, it was fine, but not good enough to finish twice. The start is strong, but Griffin is such a lackluster mate.

Evil Lilith calls him on it at one point: pointing out that he was more than willing to abuse his mate without a second thought, cheated on his fiancée, and lets his wife abuse the weakest members of their pack.

I loved this book. The plot was so good. I hate Lilith with every fiber of my being, but I am glad she finally told Griffin the truth. Once she emerges from that not-so-great world, Mira is an amazing businesswoman. Victor played his part quite well. He was an interesting character. Noah was adorable.

what a doormat.

The whole virgin and whore trope, I’m so over. Also if she really didn’t want him at any point she could have accepted his rejection but she just wanted to be hurt. I feel like I read this whole book before under another name. She’s a successful ceo but gets manipulated at every turn.

Overall a good read but needs editing

Overall I thought the story line was fun and enjoyed the twists and turns.
What drove me crazy was the VAST amount of typos, Grammer and punctuation errors! Wow there are a ton - you need to hire a proof reader before publishing (I'm available 😀)

Interesting idea, flawed execution. The storyline was interesting, but something just didn’t click for me. I didn’t really connect with any of the characters, and the book needs a lot of editing to get it to a place where it makes sense. Lots of typos and errors, perspective shifts (between first and third), and weird jumps back in time with no warnings. Interesting read, but could be better!

same old story

It’d be nice if in one of these stories the FMC has enough common sense not to get back together with the trash MMC that treated her like dirt and you know, actually choose the healthy alternative of either the hot and loyal second lead, or if there isn’t one just be independent from any man. You know self love is a kind of romance too.

Really great plot. That's what kept me invested. The characters were interesting. I really liked that the plot played into the relationships between the characters.

good read but lots of typos

It was great book. I only gave four stars because there were quite a few typos and a couple spots had different sized text. I’m not sure if it was kindle’s fault or the publisher.

Good story

This was a good book, it had an interesting storyline and characters. Once you got towards the end it was somewhat predictable on who the bad person was. But it was still an entertaining story.

This was my first time reading Ms. Eve’s books. I don’t often leave reviews so for me to do so speaks volumes. I enjoyed her attention to detail and you could feel the emotions of each character. I love a good Cinderella story.
