It was interesting, not necessarily what I expected when I first was learning about the book. I think that I was hoping to read more first-hand true crime details/stories. However, at the same time, I like how the author was in fact able to connect, “theory”, with real life scenarios! But, now that I say that, I also thought that at times it was just an extended period of over-explaining, or really hammering in a point. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a true crime read, but is also looking to learn about and explore the, not necessarily so glamorous admin:“back of house” portion of the true crime operation.
Glad to know about the Cold Case Foundation and the tireless work they do, for free. Grateful for their service.
The authors could have used an editor. Rambling, repetitive, paternalistic, thinly veiled egos. I was interested because I am reading the Scarpetta series which includes a lot of focus on FBI profiling.
I gave up about 1/3 of the way through. The book could be more effective.
