Kiera and Tobias were best friends growing up but she left to nursing school
Tobias is surprised when Kiera walks into the lodge the group were decorating. Their connection sparked across the room as their eyes met. Tobias stuck close knowing the rival bears had been testing the safeguards and Kiera jumped to action when the attack happened. He finally decided Kiera can handle herself but that he needs her back in his life.

While once more it's not long enough to cleave from expected tropes (childhood lovers reunited), the smut is a bit worse and the suspension of disbelief that every bear in this pack will find their fated mated within hours of one another in a remote snowbound town is difficult to muster.
