I don't know how to feel about this volume it didn't quite have the emotional grip or development that the previous volumes had.

Hoping the next volume picks up a bit

This may not be a popular opinion among other readers, but I really did like the depiction of how much things changed after the global pandemic not only socially and emotionally, but also economically. We all got hit by it one way or another and in this volume Tenjaku is the one to take all the punches himself, which leaves you utterly heart broken by it.

Fortunately, his friend still looks for him, even after his radio silence. She finds people who try to help her find him again and though it may not seem much, she understands asking for help is a big step for people who don’t want to cause any grievance.

I feel like this manga is a bit of a slow burn, but I do want to keep reading whenever a new volume comes out.

Sheltering Eaves is one of the best manga series I have started in 2025. Every volume makes me feel things. The parts that focused on Tenkjaku and just how much the system truly failed him were gut wrenching but also hands down the most engaging part of this volume. Not as strong as other volumes but still a fantastic read. I’d recommend as it is a very realistic depiction of what happens to children of the system.

I'm bummed this volume started losing me a bit. I really like the characters in this, but I also just am not interested in this whole rap and Fire subplot. It's just not hitting for me. To me the most interesting parts are seeing how Yoru is faring on her own... that part feels really real. I'll probably keep reading the series as they come out, but this vol was a bit of a snoozer for me.

Ok...WOW!!! Man, I knew that I was going to love this series just from the description, but actually reading it has made me love it even more!!! Everything about this series so far has made me so emotional. There are parts where I have a giant smile and there are parts that make me want to cry. I CANNOT WAIT for another volume to be released!!! I think everyone needs to read this, and I truly think this is going to be one of my favorite Manga series of all time when it's complete!
