One woman finds herself on the receiving end of a Demon Lord's revenge--but he's going to show her a world of pleasure before sending her into despair!Haruka's life has hit a dead end--her career is stalled, and her love life is nonexistent. But everything changes when a shooting star crashes at her feet, revealing a sinfully handsome man who claims to be the Demon King. Even more shocking, he insists Haruka was once his sworn enemy, a saint, in a past life. Though she has no memory of their shared history, he seems to know everything about her. Bent on revenge, the Demon King vows to take Haruka on a journey of exquisite ecstasy, only to plunge her into the depths of despair. His motives may be dark, but the offer of passion and adventure is far more enticing than her mundane reality. Is she ready to embrace the pleasure--and the peril--that comes with surrendering to a demon's touch?
I enjoyed this a lot. The Demon King may claim he's only trying to make Haruka happy so he can later tear her down, but it's very clear he just simply wants her happy. He may not call it love yet, but it's obvious where this is headed. I didn't realize when I started this that there is a reincarnation element to the romance, which is one of my favorite tropes, so that was a pleasant surprise too.
I'm new to the genre but I enjoyed it. Beautiful drawings and a good start - I'm hoping the characters develop more.
There's no climax at the beginning, which I might have not thought it worked but it's fun. There are elements of Hades and Persephone dynamic in the story too.
Now I need to wait until July for the new English release.
However, she falls wayyy too fast. I understand she's kind of a loser who doesn't care for her life and she's very different from the personality of her past life, but I was hoping that with the way he outright said he was gonna make her fall in love with him just so he could break her heart (even if it's revenge for what she did in her past life, as she acknowledges), I wish she'd be more guarded and have more doubt about him accomplishing that goal.
But I'm still interested in seeing where this goes, so I'll probably pick up the next volume.
Reverse isekai—he’s come back from their past life to make her miserable. Only, she’s already miserable, cause it’s the modern age and she’s stuck in an awful office job. She’d welcome the sweet relief of the end at this point.
This was quite fun. A bit rushed, with her giving in and falling for him way too fast. But otherwise this was fun to read, and I really enjoyed their first meeting and how they fell into a rather domestic home life right after. Super cute.
I read a fan translation of this ages ago and had to support the author (and finally get the ending!!) At first you think this is just going to be shoe string plot to drive the smut buuuut... there is something more here though. Mao pushing Haruka to say what she wants so he can make her happy. I like it.
3.5* Liked parts of this, was so-so on others. I really like the Demon King/Mao-san's character design(s). Haruka is the weaker point so far, and I'm hoping she gets a bit more personality than being a generic pensive low self-esteem Sad Girl. Smut was well-drawn, though also much more one-sided than the title/blurb led me to believe.
this checked all the right boxes for me, and the flashback scenes especially warmed my little romantasy heart <3 it's funny, sexy, silly, and romantic! a bit too insta-love from haruka's side, but overall this was perfect for my tastes, and I'm totally in for the next volume :)

I’m actually pleasantly surprised how intrigued I am by this😭 Im like lowkey invested in the lore now😂 I will say trigger warning though! And also, turning Vanitas into a blonde man was diabolical and hurtful to me🥲
Honestly one of my favorite steamship series now! This was so good!! Glad to have this available in a physical manga ~ can’t wait to continue this series and see how Haruka & the Demon King’s relationship unfolds :’)
