I stumbled across this journal as a Goodreads giveaway. The idea that I could systematically reflect on my year through journaling and answer questions was very intriguing to me. I usually reflect by sorting through pictures, listing out events/accomplishments/struggles and deciding what I want to change for the next year.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book and am looking forward to implementing the practices it suggests. French offers a systematic method with thoughtful questions for evaluating what happened, what it meant, and what to do next. I’m excited to reflect on my past year now. He gives examples for each, which makes it easy to understand the purpose of each section.
💻 I purchased the Kindle edition of this book because I wanted to read and implement it right away. It was easy to navigate. Since I’ll be using a journal to complete this process, the Kindle version is a perfect edition for me; I am able to keep it up on my laptop while I write in my journal (instead of having 2 books).
