I'm sad to see it end

Chloe Walsh does it again with her books. She's an unstoppable force of nature when it comes to writing and I don't know where she gets all the energy from but I admire her so much for it. This was a great conclusion to the series and I absolutely adore her characters. I consumed and devoured this beauty in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. There were parts I felt emotionally disconnected from and I felt like there was something missing but that in no way diminishes Chloe's talent and her writing. Her characters and storylines are amazing because they're one of a kind and you'll never find anyone like her characters. I love that so much. This book has all the feels, it'll make you cry, make you laugh and make you so giddy with happiness you'll forget what life was like before it.

I also loved the cross-over with the other characters in her other books and I love that all her books are connected in some shape and form. And I'm kinda excited for Callie's story now. But overall, this series was amazing and it just proves just how much of a BOSS Chloe is. Love you Chloe!

After reading all three of these books I realised that book one was really good and I did enjoy the storyline. Book two, storyline still good but I did feel as if the story was a little too stretched out. Book three started with almost a quarter of the book telling us everything we already knew. Personally I didn't see why there needed to be a past and present section because the majority of it had been touched on in the other books.
The birthing scene seemed a little abrupt and rushed for my liking but maybe that's just me

Having an eight years later epilogue didn't sit well with me but that is just a personal preference. I like to here the story after a 2-3 years. It did all seem a little rushed towards the end BUT the storyline didn't disappoint me through all three books

So, I actually lost my original review ages ago and I guess I have to reread to fully remember, but right now I’m writing this from memory. I do remember almost crying at their childhood moments at the start — those felt super necessary and perfect. I also remember loving how much Nathan loves Andi, like total relationship goals, and I spent days afterwards telling everyone who would listen about their story.

There was some drama in this book that felt a bit out of place and too much, but overall Chloe Walsh can’t do wrong. This book stuck with me, and honestly, I still love it.

Right now, it’s a solid 4.5 ⭐️ . Maybe when I reread, I’ll rethink the rating. Maybe more. Maybe less. But for now? I’m soft for them again.

What can I say Chloe you knocked it out the park with this book.
Off the hook is the final book for Nate and Andi and I completely loved it.
Chloe has a way with words that will pull you into a story world and make you never want to leave , the characters have you laughing and crying along with them.
I have fallen in love with this story and what can I say about Nate apart from I need one of him for myself.
Well done Chloe another awesome story and I can't wait to read more from you.

I think the Chloe should have just tacked this story onto number 2...or even just had one whole book of normal length instead of 3 short ones.
It started with crap we already knew or had a glimpse into...skipped most of that and went to the present.

I did not like the cliche thing... They had the happily ever after thing... But Andi never trusted Nathan. No matter what he did, she never trusted him... Perfect example of emotional immaturity.

The first 40% of this book were flashbacks of different times in their childhood. I thought it was weird considering the second book ended on a cliffhanger. Needless to say I did a lot of skimming of that first 40%. That’s also why this final book is getting 3 stars. I felt like there wasn’t enough content for a third book and the author added that 40% in.. really this series could have been a duet. I did enjoy the conclusion. I was interested in knowing what happened with Jackson and Ivy. I guess that could be in another book but I don’t know.

Of course it was, I'll always read books by Chloe, she's a favorite! I was so curious for the way things would end. Andi and Jackson's family was messed up as hell but God I loved Nate. On to another chloe read, I've read alot!

Reread: I absolutely loved revisiting these characters in this trilogy! And I totally forgot about the little Easter eggs Chloe dropped in this book with Noah and Teagan from the Carter Kids. One of my faves!!

*****5 "I Love Nathan Cole" Stars*****

There is nothing like blocking out the world for a few hours and becoming so consumed and captivated with a story that you feel a part of it. This is what every single book by Chloe Walsh does to me. She is amazing, brilliant and creates the best book boyfriends that I have come to love and obsess about.

The conclusion to Andi and Nate's battle to be together ended on a high note for me. Lots of drama but also realism about 2 teenagers in high school, who have been in love with each other for most of their lives with a baby on way.

We get their past in the first part of the book, starting with both Andi and Nate at a young age on the day they meet for the first time, which I loved because I feel like we missed out on some of their back story in the previous books. Even from the very beginning and at such a young age, Nathan has always loved Andi...

"I loved her. I knew that sounded dumb. I knew I was too young to fully appreciate the meaning of the word, but it didn’t matter. I honest to god fucking loved this girl like nothing else before."

And then Andi's major-dick father warns Nathan to stay away from her because he's from the other side of the tracks, living in a trailer park and will never be good enough for his daughter, which is the reason he started pushing her away...

"I was supposed to stay away from Andi –her father had warned me as much. But I fucking ached whenever she was nearby. Being mad seemed to be the only way to stop myself from acting on my feelings. And I was mad at her. Mad at her for making me feel this way. Mad at her for making me weak."

Fast forward to the end of book 2, which leads us into the present of Off The Hook....

And I just want to mention that I absolutely HATE Andi's demented parents with a passion!!!! What a bunch of twisted degenerates who verbally and physically abuse their children if they fall out of line, to contain their "pristine" image and use blackmail in the most disgusting ways to ruin other people's lives, especially Nathan's... but Nathan is not backing down this time. Nathan is desperately in love with Andi and he will stop at nothing to make sure that she and their baby will be protected...

I'm not going to delve any further into the deets because it will ruin the whole book but I felt their conclusion did these two characters justice. I did want to see a little more back-bone with Andi but after finishing this, that's just not who she is. Andi is a sweet and sheltered girl and Nathan is, and has always been, her protector in so many different ways...and he is an absolute swoon-worthy hottie that even had my ovaries on fire with his fierceness and desire to always love and take care of Andi. <3

My only regret is that Andi's parents needed to be taken down a notch, or had their heads ripped off, but I'll deal with it ;-)

I love Andi and Nate's story. When the last book left on a cliffhanger, I wasn't sure which direction it was going to go. I liked how it started in the past. Those clips show how sincere both of their feelings had been from the beginning. I was getting worried after a while that there wasn't going to be enough time for the actual story since the past took up around a quarter of the book. But it was necessary and the story line didn't seem rushed MUCH. I think the major jump forward was a little disappointing but I understood how repetitive it could have been to read through the whole time between.
Both sets of "parents" suck on ever level and although I with they would have grown compassion, I loved how the story played out.

In the last book, I hoped to see some well-deserved development for Andi from the spineless girl she once was...but it didn't really appear. Basically, all decisions and stand up moments were Nate's punctuated by Andi's voice from time to time, she still felt stuck and without any real growth only passing moments which had a flinching strength. This was the breaking point for me to give one star to this book.

I wasn't able to forgive neither her brother (Jackson) or best friend (Ivy). For me, there wasn't any significant action from them for this forgiveness to happen and I think the two of them are the worst example of best friends that I have read in my life. Nate is the only character that I really liked through the series. I'm not even going to go to the birth scene...

I value many insights from the author, for example, the insecurities in a pregnancy and the lengths you will go to prove yourself.

Contrary to popular opinion I liked the flashbacks although I agreed that they didn't add much to the story. Anyway, little Nate and Andi were cuteness overloaded and I had fun reading about them.

In short, this book had potential yet it wasn't harnessed in the best way, in my opinion

This was a pretty good book and it's the 3rd and final in the Faking It series. I felt though toward the end that the book could have given more information and added to how Nathan and Andi made it to where they are today. It just seemed so rushed at the end.

Nathan and Andi have cared about each other all their lives but they each come from different worlds. Andriana Cole comes from a rich family with two parents and an older brother Jackson. Their parents are seldom ever around and when they are they are abusive and terrible. Andi's never allowed to do much and Jackson has moments where he's a good brother and moments where he's a horrible brother. Nathan and his mother live in the trailer park. His mother is an alcoholic and she has been abusive to Nathan for years. He has an older sister who helped raise him and a niece. He loves his family and has done things to protect his family that he hated. Now that Andi's pregnant, they both have to worry about the future.

What can I say? I loved it!!
Chloe as always delivered an amazing story. Nate and Andi are amazing. Chloe is an amazing author that never fails to deliver. I will blindly read anything written by Chloe, no synopsis needed.

The only thing I wanted from this book was more. I devoured it too quickly and need more.

I can't wait to see what Chloe does next :D

2.75/5 A lot of flashbacks in the 1st 3rd of the book...a lot I already read in the 1st 2 books so it was unnecessary, felt like filler to make the book longer. Had alt POV. Skimmed the rest of it. Had some loose ends...did she ever talk to her parents again, did Ivy (her best friend) and Jackson stay together, etc. Only thing I enjoyed was the HEA. Andi and Nate.

Unanswered questions

The book was just sub par. I still had questions at the end. For instance, did Mate ever make it on football? Did their parents ever try to reach out to them? Did Jackson and Ivy ever get married? Did Andi have a career? There are so many unanswered questions.

This book is the third and final book in the faking it series. Off the hook carry’s on from where off the cards finished. I read this book in one sitting and was gripped from start to end.
In this book we get Nate and Andi’s points of view from the age of 5 up to present day. I liked seeing Nate and Andi’s points of view about their attraction over the years. This story had me on the edge of my seat for the majority of the time. I still hated Andi’s parents like I have throughout the series. Although I still hated Andi’s father, I liked that he didn’t make her terminate her pregnancy nor did he send her away. Andi’s mother was still a total bitch. It was clear to see she was jealous and wanted Nate for herself. She was a hypocrite and an evil cow. I also HATED Dallas. I hated that she nearly broke Nate and Andi.
I really liked the ending to this book. I liked that Nate and Andi got the HEA. The epilogue for this book is sweet. I liked that Andi and Nate was happy. Their love was stronger than ever.
One last thing, I liked the link between Nate, Teagan and Noah.

One of my authors that I have decided to make a goal this year and read her booklist is Chloe Walsh and with Off The Hook it brings me to the end of her Faking It Series. In Book #3 Addy is about to give everyone a shock as she has a secret, she is pregnant with Nathan. Her parents of course are furious and give her the ultimatum to leave Nathan or walk out the door and be cut off. Of course, Addy loves Nathan and will always choose him over her crazy family as at least she knows he loves her unconditionally as well. During the book, her father has a change of heart and gives Nathan and Addy an ultimatum of his own - either Nathan is to Marry Addy and raise the baby or Addy will be sent to St Bernadette's. Of course, Nathan will do what is right for Addy and marry her. The second part of the book is about their relationship struggles on their own, but can Addy show Nathan that money isn't everything and she loves him for who he is? This was a good read and I love how the pair overcame everything one thing though, is that I cannot stand Addy's brother Jackson - I hated his character as he was just as bad as their parents and self-righteous. If you love edgy new adult fiction and have enjoyed Chloe's most famous series Boys of Tommen and want more of her books to read, then check out her Faking It series as you won't be disappointed.

Loved this series easy read binge read all 3.

Loved both characters and how Nate didn’t care what anyone else thought and had Andis back.

Andi has it out with her mum after Nate and Jackson are arrested she runs away to Ivys house.

Andi dad gets Jackson and Nate out of prison and give Nate an ultimatum saying marry Andi and she is your problem. Nate does and they live in a trailer park while she’s pregnant. called ( Nate’s ex) causes some trouble but they get through it Nate is working and training and going to school to try to give Andi the life she deserves. In the end they end up in Noah’s old house (from the Carter kids series) as Nate is distantly related, they have more kids and Nate becomes a doctor.

Going to be a wee bit brutally honest here while keeping it constructive.

I loved this series, I really enjoy Chloe Walsh's writing, I loved how these two characters finally got their ending.

However, I was really disappointed in this book. Why? It seemed rushed in parts. There are big jumps over time periods. (Not a past and present thing, that I enjoy and those are in the book too, but I'm talking about the 7 months later jump.) I think part of me just wanted more because the first two books in the trilogy had so much depth to them. There were a few parts I just went "huh" over. I read them again and was still saying that. They have to do with big parts of the first two books, and what ended in a cliffy in the second one.

As much as I'd love to give this one five stars, I can't.

Wonderful conclusion to the Faking it series

So sad to see the end of Nate and Andi's story. These two had to overcome alot to earn their HEA. I loved that Nate was fierce in his love for Andi. He really worked hard to take care of her all the while thinking he would never live up to what she needed. I was happy to see that Jackson and Nate were able to repair some of their relationship. I would love to read a story about Jackson. I really did not like him in the first two books but he kind of redeemed himself when push came to shove. I think these books could actually have been done in 1 or 2. They were so short. That's really my only dislike about the series. I would recommend anyone wanting a short series to binge on to definitely grab this series.
