What starts as a simple house swap might turn into much more when destiny decides to play its cards in this romantic Christmas story that will make you believe in second chances.
This was cute. It felt like a lot in such a small book. Could have benefited from either following one couple or being longer but I still enjoyed it. Was an insta love sapphic romance. Some house swapping. Couple of spicy scenes. Nice little Christmas novella
I recommend this book. Its sweet Holiday romance this book has it all likable interesting characters also travel guide of Australia and New York . I would love a book two to follow these characters. Thanks
I would rate this lower but because I'm leaving a review, I'm leaving a 3 star review and I won't leave a review with anything lower than 3 stars.
A Lawyer for Christmas is a sapphic retelling of The Holiday. The story follows Nicosia, a lawyer from Australia, and Noa, a best-selling author from New York City. Close to the Christmas holiday, they both decide that they need a change and a getaway from their daily stress. They each post on a house swapping site and answer each other's ads.
In New York City, Noa’s friend Anya is there to show Nicosia around and to offer company. In Australia, Nicosia’s sister Sophie is there to show Noa around and to offer company. Noa and Nicosia have similar journeys but Nicosia has a more difficult time of letting go and relaxing so each main character has a different story outcome.
For me, unfortunately, the most enjoyable part of this book was that it was a short read. The plot seemed fun but the length kind of shortened something that could have been better. If that makes sense. The last two or three chapters, the continuity issues completely took me out of the story and interest in even finishing the book.
A lot of issues like this in the writing took me completely out of it.
A Lawyer for Christmas: A Sapphic Christmas Romance is a Christmas house swap tale featuring Australian lawyer Nicosia and New York writer Noa. The novella format limits character development, but the story is engaging as the two highly-strung women fall for Noa’s best friend and Nicosia’s sister respectively. There is minimal drama and a seasonally appropriate happy ending.
Story seemed more focused on the writer in Australia than the lawyer in New York. The lawyer's story was repetitive and the writer's story was rushed, and the book would have been better if it focused just on one of the stories.
Wonderful characters meeting the loves of their lives. This novel will make your heart happy! Australia and New York City provide a unique experience for love.
Ive been looking for a summer Christmas and Clara Ann Simons gives a delightful Christmas swap . From the writer's apartment New York to the beach cottage of the lawyer in Byron Bay. Of course there is 2 weeks of romance but fraught with difficulty
