Misconception by Denise Forsythe is a gripping tale of deception and murder that will leave you wondering what you just read. At its heart, it is a thriller, but it’s also a story about the lengths people will go to get exactly what they want, regardless of who gets in the way. The characters are deeply developed to the extent that you’ll know them inside out by the end of the book. The plot is unique, tightly woven in a narrative that flicks seamlessly between the present and the past. The tension builds slowly, gradually tightening its grip on you, leaving you unable to put it down until the end, each chapter leaving you wanting to read just a little bit more. This is not a fast-paced story, but it does pick up the pace gradually, drawing you into the main character’s web of lies and deceit. A thoroughly enjoyable story, and highly recommended to anyone who loves a good thriller with the ability to hold their attention from start to finish.

Confusing to read. Grammar and typographical errors made it difficult for a smooth read. The book ended abruptly without a clear understanding of what happened. I wasted my time reading this book.

Misconception by Denise Forsythe is an absolute gem of a novel that grabbed me from the very first page and didn’t let go. It’s rare to find a book that balances suspense, emotion, and character development so seamlessly, but Forsythe delivers all three with expert precision.

The story is intricately woven, filled with twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end. Just when I thought I had it figured out, another layer was revealed. Forsythe’s writing style is both elegant and compelling. Every word feels intentional, and every scene builds toward a satisfying and unforgettable climax.

What really sets Misconception apart is the emotional depth of the characters. Cassie is raw, real, and incredibly relatable. I found myself rooting for her, crying with her, and celebrating her victories. Forsythe explores themes like trust, betrayal, and resilience with such authenticity that it felt less like fiction and more like a peek into someone’s very real and personal world.

The pacing is perfect, never too slow, never rushed. The dialogue is sharp, the tension palpable, and the setting richly described without being overdone. It’s clear that Denise Forsythe poured her heart into this story, and it shines through on every page.

I highly recommend Misconception to anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers with emotional depth. It’s thought-provoking, beautifully written, and absolutely unforgettable. Five stars isn’t enough for this powerful and captivating read.
