I don't deserve her, but I'm keeping her anyway.

The book was going okay until he said;

"I’ve had good sex. I’ve had kinky sex. I’ve had threesomes, foursomes, sex club sex. Not a single one of those times ever felt anything like this moment right here."

DNF at 43% which saddens me because I loved Enzo in the first book and I was so excited for his book.

But quite like the first one this was very boring up until this point. I’m not a fan of the FMC for some reason. She just wasn’t very likable. I still loved Enzo and his obsession with her but with the way he was acting I was thinking it was very rare for him to feel anything sexual or want someone like that. Really didn’t appreciate his “I’ve had good sex. Ive had kinky sex. I’ve had threesomes and foursomes and sex club sex.” This kind of killed it for me and left a bad taste in my mouth. I wanted to finish it but after that it was all I could think about so I had to stop reading.

Just not in the mood for this kind of MMC. He saw the girl litteraly few seconds and he's already obsessing over her, calling her "my angel", saying she's too fucking precious for this world and he needs to protect her. Dude wtf.

I was so excited for book 2 because Enzo is everything in book 1. I had a few problems. One was more personal. And had to do with the fmc name since it's my nieces name. I was calling her angel. Lol.

Enzo was in love with his woman the first moment he saw her at a club. He wanted to know everything and did, but he kept his distance because he felt he was unworth of her. But he watched like a Hawk. He even killed her date she didn't wanna go on because her friend pushed her to. Guy had no lips, lol.

Then we got mixed with book one drama and this which we saw and Enzo started slowly trying to talk to her. Then he backed away. 🙄 ugh, men. As for Robyn, she was very..shy alone.. invisible even to her friends. Which was sad, so being stalked was something she wasn't used to. i loved that she wasn't scared of Enzo and his family. And wondering where he was when he backed away. The spice was good very soft vibes for a psycho lol.

Would have been fine if he kept it at that he'd had sex before - but the mention of "threesomes, foursomes, sex club sex, kinky sex" literally don't wanna hear about that... Next!

I absolutely loved book 1 following Izzy and Luca, but this one definitely topped it with Enzo and Robyn's story!
I loved how protective Enzo is, he's deranged at times and definitely quick to react, but he's also passionate, determined and loyal.
His actions towards Robyn were swoony and dedicated, even if he is stalker, and anyone that dares to get in his way or hurts Robyn gets a painful and brutal ending with some dark mafia flair.
It's a intense storyline with a spicy slow burn romance, drama, action, and a lot of violence and revenge.
The family bonds in this is top notch, they are so supportive, and I love the banter between them all.
Also this had me laughing when it got to a certain plastic creation, you can't fault Enzo for being imaginative.
This is the kind of book you can easily get lost in and read in one sitting as you don't want to stop.
I would highly recommend reading book 1 first, not only as it's amazing but some events crossover so it will flow better as the interconnected standalone.
Can't wait for Marco's story next! So all 3 brothers can hopefully get their hea.

💀 "I don't know who the hell that girl is, but she's too fucking precious for this fucked up world"

💀 "She's too fucking light to be tainted by my darkness"

💀 "Enzo Romano is known to be the most unhinged of them all. Crazy. Insane. Certified"

💀 "You put your motherfucking hands on my girl. You scared her. Hurt her. Threatened her. You don't get to do that and still fucking live"

💀 "She's what I've been missing my whole life, and I swear I'll never fucking let her go"

💀 "He's crazy, and I freaking love it. He's mine"

💀 "If this city thought I was crazy before, they'll see nothing but my demons when I burn it to the fucking ground if I don't find her"

Enzo, crazy pants, Romano is just living his best life until he spots a beautiful angel in a crowded club. Thinking she's a figment of his imagination, he asks his friend if he sees her as well, and when he confirms he's up and walking towards her, only for her to disappear into thin air.  Determined to find his angel and protect her at all costs because she quiets the constant storm in his head.

Robyn is quiet and reserved and does not want any attention on herself, realizing someone following her.. only she doesn't feel scared she feels safe and protected, obviously confused, and questioning her own sanity.
Faced with a difficult decision, can Enzo let his angel go? Will Robyn see the good in him, or will she run the opposite direction?

Holy crap this was a good book. The last 3 books I've read have been a dud, but this one was top tier, chefs kiss. It is dark themed, but I would say on the lighter side with a ton of comedic relief that flowed so naturally it had me cackling at points. You cannot help but love Enzo and his shenanigans he's like a feral puppy and you can't help but say aawww he's so adorable lol. Robyn is very reluctant on all things happy in her life and I totally get why she was. But she took life and its woes on the chin dusted herself off and went on her way.

A couple of things I wished it dived a bit deeper into: (please do not read this part, I will keep it as spoiler free as possible)
robyns upbringing - it was hinted at but not discussed in detail,
lia and Jeremy - how...why..when???
Lia and Robyn - why the turn of events??? What happened??

I'm so happy for Enzo and Robyn!!! I can't believe they had a baby and I'm so very happy for them. I did find the writing better than the first book, less spelling and grammar mistakes and a bit better at showing than telling, I also enjoy how Wilson connects each of the brother's stories. However I did find that the plot was extremely similar to Vow to Me. The girl was taken and about to be tortured, and the guy tortured and killed the people who hurt her. The only big difference was the reactions that each of the characters had. I may be bias cuz Enzo is my favorite brother and that's why I enjoyed the book so much but I found myself editing the book in my head. Maybe if the author had taken more time to edit and revise, perhaps have more editors examine her book then it could have been an amazing hit since this book has a lot of potential, but there was definitely improvement from the first book. I'm so excited to read Lie to Me to see Marco's love story and also how Enzo and Robyn raise baby Liliana!!

THOUGHTS -
I found this to be an exciting little Mafia read. I enjoyed the characters and the overall structure in this book. The author created interesting situations that often pop up in the dark mafia world that I crave.

YIn addition, Implementing the amount of sexiness and steamy particulars gave it that right amount of spice I was looking for. I do recommend this little book.

Thank You to the Author for the ARC opportunity as well as the patience needed for unforeseen events. I appreciate that very much!

Another amazing read by S.Wilson this is book 2 in the series and this story follows Enzo and Robyn.

Enzo first lays eyes on Robyn in a night club and just from one look at her he's hooked asking his friend if she's real or if not 😊. Then because he can't help himself he asks his sister in law to find her so he can watch over her. Enzo takes to stalking Robyn to make sure she's safe and when he can't take it anymore he again asks his sister in law to go with him to get some books as she owns a book store.

Robyn knows that Enzo is from the mafia world and that she should be afraid especially as Enzo has the worse reputation for being the most unhinged but instead she finds herself feeling safe with him, especially after she is threatened by some people that her brother screwed over that want payment. So she ends up moving in with her stalker (Enzo) and she finds herself falling in love with him 😊.

Robyn settles something in Enzo so she knows that he would never hurt her and honestly I love that he couldn't stand the thought of ever hurting her as it would cause him physical pain, she sees his soft side and not the unhinged, physopath that he protrays to the world. I really enjoyed this book and struggled to put it down and can't wait for the next book 😊

I liked this book better. I still don't like the author's writing though, everything is very quickly spelled out with almost no details. At this rate I'm going to love sloeburn🌝

I still liked Enzo from the first book, but in my book he is described as a completely different character, I pictured him differently😭

Robin is weird; she's being stalked by a man, at one point shows his personality and tells her what to do - move in with him, live with him. And she's like, yes!!! Wasn't she taught as a child that you can't get into a car with strangers? 🤔 Very unclear about this situation, how she immediately blindly trusted and instantly fell in love....

As a couple, they are cool in principle, but because everything is poorly written, I didn't really feel it😑

This had me feral for Enzo and I LOVED his story! He might be seen as an unhinged pyscho by others, but his soft side had me swooning! The way he is so obsessed, but also so caring was so sweet! I love him and Robyn together and overall love the plot line that goes with this book and this series.

Also I'll be needing Marco's book ASAP please!

This is set to release on October 24th and is perfect if you love mafia romances!

MMC who brings a whole new meaning to the terms falls first and falls harder. There isn't anything Enzo wouldn't do for his angel as he proves from the get go. Unhinged characteristics play well with his penchant for shadow lurking. However is a girl meant to resist? A plot that is worthy of a read and leaves you eager for the next book in the series. It needs to be added to TBRs everywhere.

I liked this book better than the first one. But all the books have one thing in common: overly cute characters. Fast paced plot development. An enjoyable read for a one night stand, but not suitable for re-reading I'm afraid.
The man is a real cinnamon bun, but a bloodthirsty psycho. It's a nice combination. I will definitely read the remaining brother's book.

Book Name/Series: Run to Me (The Romano Empire #2)
Author: S. Wilson
Standalone?: Can be read as a standalone, but includes characters from other books.

2.5 Stars

My Opinion: I was really excited for this book because I love a stalker romance with a morally grey hero, but it unfortunately ended up being a bit of a disappointing read. There were things I liked, but there were also things that just didn’t work for me. I found the writing to be quite repetitive with some things being mentioned over and over throughout. I also didn’t really love the main characters. They weren’t awful or anything, but they also just weren’t what I had been hoping for (especially Enzo).

Hero: 3/5. Enzo (22). I had mixed feelings about Enzo. I kind of liked that he became obsessed the second he lay eyes on her, but I just felt like something was missing. He was known for being chaotic and a little psychotic, but his obsession with the heroine just didn’t feel intense enough for me. I also wish he hadn’t tried to stay away from her in the beginning because I wanted him to want her to be his no matter what and it just came across as a bit too self-sacrificing. However, he then went and tortured and killed a guy she went on single date with, so he was definitely sending mixed messages.
Heroine: 3/5. Robyn (24/25). She owned and worked at a bookstore. She was okay, but she also wasn’t particularly interesting.

POV: 1st person POV (Enzo and Robyn).

Push/Pull:

Sadness: 0/5.

Explicit Sex and Spice Level: Yes. 3/5.

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) Drama: No.

Separation:

Cheating: No.

Closure/Ending: HEA.

Enzo's story was as delightfully crazy and dark as I was expecting! Robyn is the perfect yin to Enzo's yang and I love how she pretty much takes things in stride while also staying true to herself.

Wilson covers some of the same timeline as in Vow to Me, and it was fun to see different POVs. I also loved getting to see Izzy and Luca again.

I cannot wait for Marco's book!

"I guess maybe the rumors are true—he is a little crazy. But aren’t we all?"

📖 My View:
If you’re a sucker for a slightly unhinged hero with a marshmallow heart, Run to Me by S. Wilson will be right up your alley! This book gives us Enzo and Robyn—a couple who are as adorable as they are intense—and a romance that’s equal parts sweet and wild.
Enzo is a mix of chaos and cuddles. He’s unpredictable, a little crazy, and completely devoted. Despite his rough edges, he’s attentive and supportive in the most heart-melting ways. Robyn? She’s strong yet vulnerable, and what makes their relationship so special is how they truly accept each other. Robyn doesn’t try to “fix” Enzo, and he doesn’t try to change her either. Instead, they support each other’s quirks and insecurities, creating a bond that feels raw and real.
And let’s not forget the Romano family! Luca and Izzy’s banter adds so much charm, and the way the entire family welcomes Robyn with open arms is just heartwarming. It’s like they’ve all decided she’s one of them from the get-go, and I loved every second of it.

What I Loved:
Enzo’s character: He’s the perfect mix of unhinged and teddy bear, and his attentiveness to Robyn is swoon-worthy.
Robyn’s acceptance: She sees Enzo for who he is and loves him for it, no questions asked. That kind of unconditional love hits different.
Family dynamics: The Romano clan’s support and banter, especially Luca and Izzy, added so much warmth and humor.
The romance: It’s intense, sweet, and full of moments that’ll make you smile

Why 4 starts?
Predictability: The story felt very straightforward, and I found myself guessing most of the plot points before they happened.
Repetition: Some themes and moments were repeated, which made parts of the book feel a little dragged out.
Skimmable Sections: There were chunks of the story that didn’t hold my attention, and I ended up skimming through them.
That said, the heartfelt romance and the lovable characters still made this an enjoyable read overall. If you’re a fan of the series or love mafia romances, it’s worth picking up!
Will I Continue the Series?
Absolutely! Despite its predictability, Run to Me still gave me the emotional connection and family vibes I crave in a good romance. Plus, with Marco’s story (Lie to Me) on the horizon, I’m already bracing myself for all the feels. The Romano family has hooked me, and I can’t wait to see where S. Wilson takes the series next.

Recommendation:
If you’re into:
Unhinged but soft heroes who’ll do anything for their girl
Heroines who embrace their partners’ flaws and insecurities
Strong family dynamics with warmth and humor
Mafia romances that balance intensity with sweetness
Then Run to Me is a solid pick!
Run to Me is a fun, heartfelt read with an unforgettable hero and a heroine who matches him perfectly. While it has its flaws, the romance and family dynamics make it a worthwhile addition to the series.
And yes, I’m so ready for Marco’s story in Lie to Me. Poor guy deserves all the love, and I’m already feeling emotional for him.

If you're looking for an intense, spicy romance that keeps you hooked from start to finish, Run to Me by S. Wilson is the perfect choice. After falling in love with Izzy and Luca's story in the first book, I couldn't wait to dive into Enzo and Robyn's journey. And let me tell you, this one did not disappoint! Enzo was a standout in book one, leaving me eager to see his story unfold, and WOW, he's even more obsessed, unhinged, and protective than I imagined.😈

Enzo’s character is a whirlwind. He’s completely fixated on Robyn, to the point where all of his thoughts seem to circle back to her in some way. His passion and loyalty are undeniable, but he's also a bit unhinged—and honestly, I was here for every second of it! He reacts quickly and fiercely, sometimes bordering on deranged, but that intensity made him so captivating. He’s like the greenest red flag I’ve ever read, and I absolutely fell for him. His love for Robyn is the kind of all-consuming, borderline stalker-ish obsession that only makes him more intriguing in the dark mafia world they’re a part of. And Robyn? She accepts him exactly as he is, no attempts to change him or fix him. She knows he's one of a kind, and her deep connection to him feels raw and real. The trauma and challenges she faces throughout the book only make her more relatable and mesmerizing as a character. The way she cherishes Enzo despite his flaws adds depth to their relationship that makes it all the more compelling.

One of the highlights of this book is the family dynamic. The bonds between the characters are so genuine and supportive, with plenty of witty banter that adds a touch of humour to the dark, dramatic world they inhabit. It’s not just about the romance, there’s a thrilling plot full of action, violence, and revenge, all wrapped up in a slow-burn love story that sizzles with intensity.

Although Run to Me can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend picking up the first book to fully appreciate the journey and avoid a few potential spoilers. That being said, this book stands strong on its own with a gripping storyline and characters you’ll quickly fall in love with.

All in all, Run to Me is a thrilling, emotionally charged read that I thoroughly enjoyed. And now, I’m counting down the days until we get Marco’s story!

This is the first book I’ve read by S. Wilson, and it’s the second book in her series. You don’t need to read the first book to be able to understand this one. However, there will be some spoilers for the first book in this one, of course. Also, after reading “Run to Me”, I have grabbed the first book in the series. The story starts off with Enzo in a club, his mind filled with chaos, until he sees his angel, Robyn. He goes to follow her, but loses sight of her, and then proceeds to find out who she is so he can track her down.

I loved this book, it has a little bit of everything I love in it, but I truly fell for Enzo. He is in greenest red flag I’ve ever read lol. When I say this man literally only ever thinks of Robyn, I am not kidding. All of his thoughts are either about her, or somehow lead back to her.
“My mind wanders back to Robyn, and I wonder if she’s already asleep in my spare room or if she’s lying awake worrying. I don’t want her to worry, I want her to be happy and feel safe. I’m not used to worrying about someone the way I do her, I’m not used to caring, or giving a 💩 about anything or anyone. It’s fuc^ïng weird.”
He is absolutely feral in his obsession with his angel. He’s essentially a feral puppy. Only ever wants Robyn’s love and attention, but go anywhere near her, try to harm her in anyway, you’re ☠️. I also loved the Romano family. I loved the banter between them, how supportive they are of each other, and how welcoming they are towards the sibling’s partners. I have so many highlights in this book and majority of them are from Enzo’s POV, I absolutely loved reading his chapters, he had me giggling and kicking my feet throughout the entirety of the book. I also really liked Robyn, but I’m sorry (not really 😉), Enzo 😅🔥🥵 stole the spotlight. If you’re looking for a man in the mafia, completely obsessed and unhinged, who would do anything for his woman, Enzo is your man.

“I briefly wondered if I’d actually just lost my goddamn mind and this was all some messed up dream that I’m having from reading too many Mafia romance books.” Robyn, as a fellow dark romance reader/mafia romance reader, I felt this thought in my soul lol.

If you like the following tropes, you’ll definitely enjoy Run to Me:

Run To Me 📚
Enzo Romano is a freaking masterpiece. He is crazy, hilarious but has a heart of gold.

“It’s not that I don’t feel things—not at all—it’s that I feel things too much. I feel too deeply to the point where seeing someone I care about hurt makes my skin itch and my insides burn up, until I feel the need to blow something up to stop the feeling.”

We already know from the first book that Enzo sees a woman, Robyn, and becomes completely obsessed with her. In the beginning of the book we see his perspective and get to know the woman of his dreams.
In order to keep her save, he is willing to watch her from the shadows but this obviously doesn’t work out for long when her idiot brother gets her in real danger.
To me this is a darkish romcom. While it deals with darker themes, the characters’ interactions and inner monologues are often hilarious.

“So he slept on my couch? He didn’t try to get in bed with me? What sort of obsessed stalker is he? And why am I hurt that he didn’t want to share my bed? Jesus, I’m fucking losing it.”

The story centers around the relationship between the main characters and is relatively drama free. I appreciate that the characters actually stay together once they get together. I like them both, they are adorable.

“She didn’t run, she’s not scared, she’s not crying because of me. She’s crying because she’s grateful that he’s gone. She fucking thanked me. If she had any chance of breaking my obsession before, she’s just lost it with those two whispered words.”

I also love the snippets we get from the Romano family, they are just such a funny, wholesome bunch.

“Nope. You’re not just gonna sit there and ignore the fact that you’re… piercing a plastic dick. Luca’s news can fucking wait until you’ve explained this shit,” Marco says and waves towards my hands.

After the first book in the series I expected Enzo to be more unhinged but I still very much enjoyed this book.

Book 2 of The Romano Empire- Mafia family.

Enzo was worth waiting for!
When Enzo spots a girl in the local club, he can't believe his eyes. So much so, he asks his friend
to confirm she's not an illusion. Boy, he fell hard and fast.
Robyn is your sweet reserved, bookstore owner. She's always felt invisible, but now she has this
eerie feeling she's being watched.

From the day I finished Vow to Me, I knew Enzo was a must-read.
I enjoyed the interconnection between book 1 and 2. Having read Vow to Me back in May, it's served as a good reminder of what happened in that book, but also stemmed off into Enzo and Robyn's story.
Enzo struggles with his position in his family, as well as a constant chaos in his mind but Robyn is exactly who he needs to ground him. She accepts him for who he is - faults and all ...a
truly loving relationship filled with respect, adoration, and passion.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't a fluffy, lovey dovey book - Enzo is possessive as h3ll and holds no shame over it.

Run to Me is a slow burn, but when the spice hits, it delivers.
S. Wilson writes good spice along with; obsessive/possessive/unhinged mmc, st@lking, touch her and , Bookish fmc, oh did I mention he's pierced and an accidental pregnancy.

I personally feel that Run to Me can be read as standalone
That being said, l'm eagerly waiting for Marco's book now - the man's a total mystery and l'm ready for more.

when i tell you this man was OBSESSED. Enzo sees Robyn in a club and he is instantly obsessed with her, so much so that he has to ask his friend if he sees her too bc he thinks he might’ve made he up in his head. Robyn leaves before Enzo gets to her and he thinks he will never get to see her again until his sister in law, Izzy, tracks her down via hacking the club’s security cameras.

”When I find her again—and I will fucking find her—I’ll protect her at all costs, even if that means protecting her from myself.

Enzo watches her from a far, just to keep her safe aka he stalks her lol because he thinks that his world is too dark for his angel but it turns out that his world is going to be what saves her..

ALSO, my man literally builds a library in his house for her before they even meet bc she owns a bookstore and loves reading. NOT ONLY THAT but he goes through her goodreads to stock the library with her favorite books 😭

I loved this book, probably more than the first one. We still got to see Izzy and Enzo’s relationship which I love. but it was also a little sad to me bc Enzo truly couldn’t believe that Robyn could possibly love him and want to be with him

-instalove

-OTT protective/possessive

Alright, buckle up because Enzo is unhinged in the best way possible. Robyn, our quiet, book-loving bookstore owner (you know I love an FMC who reads), meets her match in Enzo, who’s giving full-on Diesel from Den of Vipers energy—possessive, protective, and yeah, he’s got a pierced 🍆. The way he’s only soft for Robyn and his family(um..sometimes)? Swoon. And Enzo with those forehead kisses? I’m 🫠 It was hilarious watching him get all nervous about what Robyn’s thinking while he’s out here being a total alpha otherwise.Sorry, Luca, but I’m switching teams—#TeamEnzo all the way! A man who anticipates your every need before you even know you need it? 🥵 Yes, please! The slow-burn spice was top-tier, and the surprise twist—wow. No spoilers here, though, you’ve gotta read it for yourself. Oh, and can we talk about Enzo’s soft spot for Izzy? Too cute. Marco’s moments with Robyn? Adorable.Seeing Luca, Izzy, and everyone back again in this book was the cherry on top (psst, I’ve ARC-read it—my review is somewhere out there in the abyss if you wanna check). While it’s an interconnected standalone, I highly recommend reading book 1 first. Oh, and heads up: check the TW, especially for mental health.

Thanks Ms. Wilson for this beautiful ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

3.25

Okay this one gets a 3.25 because I enjoyed it more than the first book but this was still very average, this one is enzo's book and I was correct in my theory that I was going to love this little psycho and he would be my favorite (Could change depending on book 3) but so far he's still my favorite mmc, this one is still mafia (obviously) while also being a stalker trope (which I love a good stalker romance) I will say this one was better than the first not just cause I liked this couple better but there was less time jumps in this one which I liked because it made the relationship feel more realistic and there was also more build up to the romance and the love which I enjoyed (because I don't like insta love but do tolerate it) I did find the plot twist at the end a bit predicable (there was one factor that I didn't guess but I guessed most of it) but still very average mafia romance but so far this is my favorite (we'll see if that stays the same after book 3) and I really enjoyed this, i'm also hoping Alec and his brothers will get books because they really intrigue me especially Alec because I just want to know more about him and his past and have him find love

Mafia
Stalker
Forced proximity
