Jo takes us on a 4 part Lenten journey covering God's relationship with people, God's relationship with creation, people and people and finally people and creation. Depending on your starting point, this journey will challenge people in different ways, but by the end hopefully we are all singing off the same songsheet - both human and non-human!
I read this as part of the Arocha Lent Zoom book group, led by Jo and other members of the Arocha family, but it can be read alone or as part of a local lent group. I have finished before the end of Lent because I realise that I should have missed Sunday's out as there are 40 studies.
Jo has provided illustrations of different species that Arocha have been involved with over the years. It might have been good if they were more than just random drawings, but connected more with the book's text. Maybe for her next book there can be something integrating different species into the stories she has to tell.
