As soon as he comes of age Al, finds himself with an overabundance of highly insistent female companionship, even from some unexpected quarters. He’s even becoming uncertain of the intent of a certain goddess who shall remain nameless.
Somehow, he still has the attention span to start seriously considering what the Trensmyan Empire’s next move may be. Coming up with multiple options and scenarios, the young archduke doesn’t like some of his conclusions. Now, having his archduchy’s bureaucracy mostly in place, he sets them to planning for multiple scenarios, including, and in particular, the worst ones.
Next, Al tours his realm, checking on the increased farm production and mill capacity, as well as his planned infrastructure construction. There are problems, but not as much as he feared. The years slowly pass, and expansions continue. Both of his Archduchy and of his ever-growing family. All idylls come to an end, though. Al hopes he and his people will be properly prepared for it when their idyll does.
