Howzer whips up a huge storm in an attempt to defeat Diane, but even a human-sized giant can stand strong against the f iercest tempests. In the next match, Meliodas faces Cain, who conjures terrifying fire magic while also leveling fiery accusations at Meliodas about his rumored involvement in the destruction of Danafell. How will Meliodas respond? Can he take the punishment for his alleged sins?

More fighting, with spectacular reveals that would probably be more spectacular if I'd spectated some background beforehand.
Without more background, it was like:
Omg, a minor character I didn't pay attention to initially was actually a woman pretending to be a man to get stronger!!! (err... what does one have to do with the other?) Omg, a tiny guy was actually a huge guy! (ok, this was odd; but I think the point was that he was supposed to be recognizable)
... And the random thoughts / realizations. (Or maybe it's just me reading too deep in some statements.)
Pero enjoy basahin!
--- Villager 1: Holy Knights! They've come to save us!! Villager 2: Get rid of the Seven Deadly Sins for us! How dare they [Seven Deadly Sins] deflect the Holy Knights' attacks?! Villager 1: ... Hm? But wait... Villager 2: Do it! Kill them!! Villager 1: But if he [Melodias] hadn't deflected it, we'll all be... Villager 2: Destroy the Seven Deadly Sins!

I think we have a tendency to have "clouded judgments" because of what people tell us, despite not really knowing and understanding the whole story.
That clouded judgment can be good or bad. 🤷♀️
How will we ever know what's true and false, what's real and fake? 🤔

I honestly liked the previous one more because the fights were fun and the humor was on point. In this one, the tournament ends, and dozens of characters appear out of nowhere and a lot of things happen at the same time. Guila and Jericho come back powered-up and at this point, I still don't like them. The new guy Helbram looks interesting enough. The one thing I liked was the ending which is a major cliff-hanger for Meliodas. In general, I liked it but there were many problems as well.
Volume 6 brings an end to the fighting festival with an interesting turn of events. The action doesn’t slow in between transitions, instead it picks up rather quickly. Griamore still has his ever changing body size, though the muscles don’t get too drastically large this time around he looks a lot better with his helmet on. In this volume you get to see more into Meliodas’s past and you’ll start asking more questions about his character. There’s also a bit of character development for the team in general as they start asking the same questions that the readers are. As a whole, this volume is rather explosive with activity and new character development. There’s more action and fighting sequences than there are major plot points, if you don’t know what you’re looking for. It’s rather interesting to see how the Holy Knights differ in not only abilities, and where they get their strength, but also in ideology. You get to see the beginning of just how different the two fractions are. Overall, the fighting sequences are great, though there is one character that frustrate me. So far this manga has done a great job with the armor of the knights, making them appear more logical than others of the genre, however, there is one character with rather impractical armor and it more sexual than anything. I mean seriously, why would you allow your breasts to be exposed when a sword can easily stab through your chest and kill you?! Warning: If you read this volume you must have the next one in hand because the cliffhanger is quite a doozy!
This one picks up with the end of the first semi-final (Diane vs. Howzer) in the tournament begun last week as part of Vaizel's festival.
The semi-final rounds give us Diane vs. Howzer and Melodias vs. The Old Man from last volume. The first is over and second started by the end of chapter 38.
Suzuki sneaks in an interesting straightforward reveal about Melodias' past in the process of his semi-final round which bridges chapters 38 and 39 before giving Ban a hilarious character moment as the final begins in earnest at 39's end.
Before the final outcome of the final round can be determined, the Holy Knights arrive and our protagonists out themselves in gambit to protect Vaizel from what is sure to be a thoroughly destructive battle.
Just to make things interesting two factions within the Holy Knights are present, and for the first time (at least that I remember) we see the Holy Knights actually act in a manner that demonstrates their true nature besides just attacking the characters presented to us (the readers) as good.
Volume 6 of the manga that was turned into the anime of the same name. This volume covers episodes from season 1 - the end of episode 11 all of episode 12.
There is clearly more detail provided than is in the show, but nothing specific that the show is missing. I was hoping that the book would cover what happened to Diane's Giddeon but I expect that will be explored in the next installment. I was also hoping to learn why Jericho's attack affected Ban more this time, but they don't explain it - I guess it is because she is part demon now? Though part Red demon and he had no trouble shrugging off the effects of a full red deamon. But it's a fantasy manga I can't expect it to have logic.
One nice thing in this volume we learn one of the 7 rules of the 7 Deadly Sins: Rule 3: Sins don't talk about each other's sins. The show mentioned 2 other rules so I look forward to learning all 7.

Howzer is a really great addition to the cast, but I just don't understand how the story can justify his friendship with Gilthunder. Howzer is the first outright "good" Holy Knight we've seen, and Gilthunder was the first outright "bad" Holy Knight. It just feels like it doesn't make sense for their characters. Great fight though between him and Diane.
I like also following the consequences of demonifaction by seeing how it turns someone who was originally good-hearted into what appears to be a heartless killer. Jericho definitely shines.
The series does keep doing this thing where they make Ban seem overly evil, it's a bit distracting because he's a good guy that almost acts like a cartoon villain for know explicit reason.
I will say that this manga does focus on romance a bit too much. The Veronica-Griamore thing is one of the most one-sided and unnecessary relationships. Not every positive relationship between a man and a woman needs to be a romantic one.
Well well well... With this volume we reach the end of the tournament part, which is kinda a third of the volume. THEN we start having so many infos and events one after the other that I was "whaaaaaaat" all the time.
There are so many things that happen in here that finally give us a good plot development. The one we needed. A thing I learned from these volumes is to never underestimate a character, because ANYONE can matter and can make a huge difference in the whole story. The problem is we have a huge set of characters that keeps growing with each volume and is hard to keep track on everyone.
Of course, once again, the ending puts us in a position of wanting the next volume asap.
The good: -They teased the past of Elizabeth and Meliodas, I got curious about it. -The trap of the sacred soldiers. -The battle between the seven deadly sins and the sacred soldiers was very unpredictable. I liked to see the seven pushed against the chords. -Ely and her sister.
The bad: -When the revelations started to come, the volume ended. I know what a cliffhanger is, but this was pure evil.
Wow, I really hate Guila and Jericho. I don't care what their motivations/tragic backstories are, I can't freaking stand them. But King being a badass definitely made up for it. Howzer's a fun character, definitely my favorite out of the Holy Knights so far. I want to see Diane use her sacred treasure considering hammers are probably my favorite weapons (don't judge me). Curious to see where that cliffhanger goes...

Okay, so Elizabeth seems to be back to her normal size but Diane seem to be still growing. And what happened to her when she broke through the ground?! Will Howzer help her?!
Did Veronica die?! What's going to happen to King against Helm?! And Meliodas against Guila and Jericho?! Why does he look half dark?! So many questions!!!!!! Oh! And Griamore, will he stay with Elizabeth and the Sins or force her back to the kingdom?!

Absolutely love the anime so figured I would give the manga a shot, and boy was I half I did. The manga is, in my opinion, far superior to the already outstanding anime. If you like the anime and story of The Seven Deadly Sins, give the manga a go, you won't be sorry.
Meliodas and Cain story was very interesting! A bit of fun and a great ending to the volume! Meliodas transformation and how he escaped can not wait the next volume...
