Maybe that’s why I love writing. It allows my emotions and deepest feelings to surface. When I’m writing, my soul is unfettered. There’s no emotional denial, no holding back. My characters are allowed to explore their lives in ways that open up my own heart again. Hopefully my readers will enjoy their stories.

Being a human is tough. There are a lot of problems in this world to solve, much less to understand. Then there’s Robbie. He’s plodding along, doing his best living a pretty ordinary life. Then meets someone who he learns is an “old friend” and tells Robbie is name is Thor and that they’re both from another galaxy. Robbie learns he was sent to Earth years ago to make sense of human emotions and feelings. An easy task, right? Not so much.

With the help of his galactic friends, who are far from experts on human beings, Robbie resolves to stay a while longer and fulfill his goal of better understanding humans. He invites three homeless friends into his life and the lessons begin.

The author has penned quite an intriguing, thought-provoking novel to open a reader’s mind to the complexities of human nature and how they might be perceived by non-earthlings: something most of us probably don’t think about very much, if ever. After all, it’s tough for humans to understand our own emotions: imagine pondering the same questions being from another galaxy. How do we succeed? Why do we fail? How. Much control do we really have? What’s it like to develop feelings for others? To help others?

The questions are endless and the answers aren’t always apparent. Author Bazinet thoughtfully presents so very much for the reader to ponder as she gives us characters to care about. A special book.

If there’s anyone who knows the frailties and foibles of humanity and their emotions, then I have yet to read their books.
This read is no different. We have Thor, a god, angel, or other realm entity, who for thirty years has been raised on Earth in the persona of Robbie. He was sent to Earth to try to understand how everyday people live and use their emotions. However, during his time here has forgotten his mission and when he meets a couple of his other-realm buddies, who have been sent to return him to his rightful place, then the fun begins.
This was an absolute fun read, as all involved, have their emotions put in a blender in their efforts to get a handle on how humans and humanity react, counter-react, and really understand that humanity, with all its eccentricities, are a special brand indeed.
Five amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for a read that will take you, the reader, through the full range of human emotions.

Use Caution It's Earth by S.S. Bazinet is easy to read, literary fiction searching for the meaning of identity and life with a loner and social misfit.

Robbie is perfectly at ease with his simple and quiet existance, until he surprises himself and steps out of his comfort zone to help someone in need. Boy does his life change exponentially after this!

The opening chapters could easily be about you or I and is very accessible and quite believable when Robbie struggles with getting involved with a stranger.

What makes the story special and different are the magical realism, fantasy aspects that take the mundane and ordinary and turn what we know on its head. Some of the lines and descriptions had me giggling over my coffee.

This is a thought provoking and introspective story about finding your why, staying open to possibility and the infinite power of friendship and love to transform us into the person we hope to be.

If you desire a feel-good, friendship story with wisdom and heart, this one's for you.

It all began during the strangest of times and consequences as a young man walks home in the midst of a winter storm, a frigid night. He hears a desperate plea for help coming from a dark alley. He sees a man slumped against the wall, shivering, perhaps freezing to death. The man looks up, calls out the young man’s name, and says, “It’s about time you got here. Get me out of this ghastly place.”

Who is he? From where did he come? How does he know what he knows? What secrets does he possess? And how will he change the young man’s life forever.

Use Caution It’s Earth is S.S. Bazinet’s storytelling at its best. It’s visionary fiction. It’s metaphysical fiction. It is book one in a new series: “When God’s Come Back.” It’s a simple story. It’s a complex story. It is filled with simple, salt of the earth characters. It is filled with complex characters who have complex reasons to come to earth.

But who are the Gods? Why did they come back? And why have they chosen to come to the home of a young man named Robbie or maybe Thor, which was the name embroidered on his baby blanket when he was left on the doorstep of the woman who adopted him.

Is he an earthling? Or was he sent to earth from another place, another universe, another planet? What was his mission? And why has he failed?

Robbie’s transformation occurs, as the author so eloquently puts it, when the young man says: “My mind exploded with information. I’d always been a seeker of knowledge. Now my search was over. In a blink outside of time, I felt like I knew the answer to everything . . . I got a glimpse of my true nature and decided I looked like a small, pulsating star.”

Use Caution It’s Earth is a brilliantly conceived story that explores the depth of human emotions created from life’s experiences of hopes and dreams, loves and disappointments, sadness and fears, and the frustrations and joys of life itself. Robbie’s revelations are reflected through the prism of a young man’s interaction with three homeless people, an angel, and the messengers who have come to take him home, wherever home may be.

The book may read like a wonderful fantasy, an intriguing allegory that spans like a bridge from one universe to another. But its themes are far deeper. It’s a book to be read once for pleasure and then again to better sense who we are and more precisely who we aren’t in the grand scheme of our existence. Reach out and help someone along the way. Maybe that’s the reason we were sent to earth in the first place.

I’ve read several books by endlessly inspired S.S. Bazinet and I’m always surprised by the breadth of her imagination. Werewolves and vampires and extraterrestrials wander through her captivating tales, all of them perfectly sketched out for the unsuspecting reader.

In her latest release – USE CAUTION, IT’S EARTH – the characters are so complex, their personalities and their agendas shift from one moment to the next, yet they still somehow find their way back to their mission. I won’t even try to explain the story line, because it’s the shifting of perspectives for each of the participants in this amorphous tale that provide a condensed version of what humans in general go through as they navigate an ever-changing world.

The story centers around Robbie, a man content with the life he’s created for himself. But all his satisfaction and the peaceful enjoyment of his life and home hang in the balance when his extraterrestrial past hunts him down, with the objective of bringing him back “home.” What happens from that point on is a swirling, madcap tango of the wants and needs of people he’s never even met before, as only a writer like S.S. Bazinet can orchestrate flawlessly without losing her audience. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

I love the unforgettable story about Robbie and why he went to Earth. Robbie chooses three homeless people and studies their sentiments; the tale has drama, fear, courageousness, an emotional rollercoaster with exciting action scenes, and fearless souls. The author writes beautifully and with powerful words. I strongly recommend the captivating read.

I have read a few of Ms. Bazinet’s works. Each has left me pondering, uplifted, mesmerized, and intrigued. In Use Caution It’s Earth, I was completely vested. From meeting Robbie aka Thor and some ‘unearthly’ beings, to the challenges this loner has faced and continues to faces, my senses were activated. I lingered over each word. It is so VERY well written! Have YOU ever wondered if or what you are? Who YOU might be? Have YOU ever wondered the what if’s of your, not only your life choices, but your life and purpose in this universe? This is an enormously fantastic fantasy. Or is it? How one faces the truth and what one may choose to do once it has been uncovered, is, sometimes, a subject of circumstances and, yes, even happenstance! Each character offers a unique perspective as Robbie questions his own purpose and true origins. Use Caution It’s Earth, we find great moments of inspiration, allusions, light humor, and musings. Introspective. Subjective. Visceral. An enormously exceptional story. MOST highly recommended.
