I am a visual practitioner and teacher passionate about thinking with a pencil. Visual facilitation helps us think deeply and see the big picture, which means being more successful in learning, collaborating, leading, and whatever else life takes us.

I dream of a world where everyone can and dares to use drawing again as a tool for thinking and communication. Drawing and imagination are part of being human and help us rediscover and maintain the courage and playfulness to live meaningful lives. Therefore, I have made it my mission to promote the field of visual practices and bring it to as many people as possible.

With visual facilitation, I help people regain faith in their creative abilities to be bold and playful (self) leaders and to bring playful cooperation and bold leadership into organizations. I help people understand complex information and make thoughts and conversations visible.

This is a great book to reimagine how we communicate and help ourselves remember what we learn. When I attend events, I have started drawing what I hear and the retention has been fantastic. I am a visual person by nature and I get overwhelmed by too many words. By drawing my thoughts and ideas it becomes not only easier for me to retain but for others to understand. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, there is a reason for that. This book will help you to rethink your thoughts and be more creative. Helping us to stimulate a long lost love of art and drawing. Highly recommend this book!

Visual facilitation isn’t just a tool—it’s a revolution in how we approach thinking and communicating. As someone who works in a collaborative environment, I found this book incredibly helpful. The exercises made me more confident in using shapes and keywords to convey ideas in meetings and brainstorming sessions. The author also dives into the science behind creativity, which made the book even more fascinating. It’s not just a guide—it’s a philosophy for reimagining how we solve problems and connect with others.
