The angels are here, but we don’t know what kind of choir we’re dealing with.
It’s what we wanted, but Kat has had dealings with them before. There are nine choirs of them. Some are peaceful and can be reasoned with. Others are rather stupid and violent. There’s supposed to be a choir devoted to policing the stupid violent ones, but they all live in a different realm.
We need the angels to convince the humans that we’re not their enemy. We just don’t know which kind are currently falling from the sky.
USA Today Bestselling Author JB Trepagnier is secretly 30 feral cats in a trench coat and combat boots writing romance with a shared feral cat hive mind.
This is it, Winners, Losers, and Champagne Kisses is the final book in JB Trepagnier's New Eden Asylum series, and boy did I have a good time. I cackled loudly enough to raise the dead, it was so good.
The plot was excellent. Apparently, the inmates are running the asylum, Lucifer is cosplaying as Satan, and God and the Devil are playing chess, it all sounds like a setup for a joke, but stuff is going down across multiple realms and involves a crap ton of people. It was utter chaos. I loved all the characters, but it was just something about Benji's and Dionysus' craziness that delighted me. Benji was in rare form in this one, I have just one word for you, chickens. Haha! You just have to read to find out. Benji already had one mate who was already the perfect partner in crime, but now I think Benji has corrupted all of them. Haha.
I had no idea the story would take the turn it did, but I never know what's going to happen in a Trepagnier book, and that's the best part of her writing, the unpredictability. Well, that and the humor. JB adds levity to every story by incorporating serious current topics and a little violence. The final fight did have me holding my breath because you never know when an author might go rogue, but it was all good. Winners, Losers, and Champagne Kisses wrapped up the series perfectly.
This was amazing. I loved it so much. The guys are just the best, and I'm so happy they all got the ending that everyone deserves. I can't wait for the spin off.
Whelp the angels are here and they don't seem to be for team supernatural. Benji gets his revenge and finally gets peace as well as all the other supers. Change is coming and hopefully for the better.
This is book three of the New Eden Asylum and Medusa and her fated mates Pax, Benji, Cas and new addition Dionysus, have gathered together a small group of gods, goddesses, furies, and others, who helped take down the Coalition behind the various supernatural prisons and asylums. But Hannibal somehow managed to escape when they freed everyone from the New Eden Asylum and has joined Saul, the face of the Coalition, trying to twist the story on the supernaturals. They were trying to recover from everything and Benji was now desperate to find out what happened to his parents and find out if they were still alive or not. They were gathering at Pepper Crane’s house when they saw hordes of angels dropping from the sky and social media started blowing up as people took videos of it happening everywhere. They didn’t know which choir of angels they were and what they had come here to do, but it soon becomes clear that they are not friendly, as any humans that approached them, were instantly killed! It seems this faction, out of the nine choirs that some of the oldest supes had heard of, wanted to gain Yahweh’s attention and have him return to their realm. Although these angels had discovered a sigil they could put in place, which would keep gods away, but also kept their own god away! These sigils had been so widely spread around their realm, it would be almost impossible to find and destroy them all. Yahweh had not been seen in millennia after an order he gave to ask the angels on Earth if they wanted to come home, was badly misunderstood as it went through layers of Chinese Whispers as the message was passed down through the ranks. Instead, his own son was killed and these angels killed everyone on Earth where the fallen angels were living.
It seems this faction of angels are after Saul and Hannibal, having started the Coalition some two hundred years ago to gain Yahweh’s attention, and obviously failed. Yahweh had no way of seeing what was happening on the human realm and had been suffering form his own heartache and sadness at his orders going so awry! For some reason, Saul and Hannibal are important to the angels and they smash their way into the prison holding them, and not in a magical manner, more brute force and violence to the extreme! Medusa and her men are not going to be able to get any of these angels on their side nor get help getting humans onto their side. With the violence accompanying this faction of angels, at least the actions of the gods and goddesses as well as other supernaturals on their team, will show humans that they are not to be feared like the angels. Opinions of some will change, but not those already brainwashed by the Coalition. The arrival of Archangel Micheal, who has only just escaped his own prison and torture, brings them news of the angels weaknesses and how the team can hope to overcome their adversaries and get justice for all those who suffered under the Coalition and lost family and friends to them. Lovely to see Benji get his family back under one roof but also revenge against the ones who tortured him and his mates. They may have had to add a God to their tight knit group as they found their center, Medusa, but they seem to fit in perfectly! Battles to come for them all as they strive to overcome the evil of the angel faction who are causing havoc to gain Yahweh’s attention but hurting so many in the process. Luckily, there are other angels and supernaturals who will help in the fight to rid this world of evil and hatred. The evil faction of angels will soon get their comeuppance, not that Yahweh will interfere much with those who need their revenge against them first, knowing exactly which if any can be saved for the new future. Great little epilogue as well, showing the beginning of family life for the fated mates and the next generation being born.
A fantastic journey through fated mates finding each other through years of pain and suffering, to going back into that place of pain to rescue their center and finally begin to take down the organisation behind the New Eden Asylum and the faction of angels behind the forming of the Coalition with their twisted idea of gaining their God’s attention! Ok, for everyone but the problem causing angels and Smurf priest
I fell in love with this series from the moment I heard about it. This portrayal of Medusa is a contemporary reclaiming of Medusas mythos. I loved watching her fall in love with her men.
I think one of my favorite things is watching the ancient gods we have all seen portrayed as ominous being friends and supporting each other. Hades and Persephone, Dionysus, the Furies, Lucifer, Hephaestus, and even the flying spaghetti monster- make an appearance.
Then you add in Medusas more contemporary mates- a mischievous shadow wolf hybrid, daddy Polar bear shifter, and a blind Smith that can change the shape of anything 👀 as they try to save the world from a choir of angels having a temper tantrum for attention.
Winners, Losers and Champagne Kisses is a fantastic close to the series. It's light hearted and dramatic and is a truly enjoyable read. I love all the new characters we get to meet in this book, (or love to hate them). I'm am thrilled at the way the author was able to close all the loose threads from the previous two books and end the series. It's a fun, delightful read and I know I'll be rereading the series again and again.

An intense page turner. I could not put this book down. A hands down winner. It has everything. Paranormal beings, violence, humor and romance. This group has to deal with violent angels. I love how the deal with them and let everyone know who is the bad guys. They get other beings involved. I loved how Medusa gets her revenge on Hannibal. I loved the ending. I wish there was bonus chapters on the other kids they had.

I waited til all three books were out so that I could give them my full time and attention. And as usual I was not disappointed. I always thought Medusa got the raw end of history, so I am glad that she finally found a good one here. That she found family, love and finally a happy ending. And apparently she has become an icon to a lot of women today if what I've seen on him too and Instagram is true. More and more girls, women are getting tattoos of her.
On a side note JB , I'm a wee bit snarkier. But you did me good! , LaSolita17.
Angels are comings, but will they be good angels or evil angels, and if they’re evil, will Medusa, Dionysus, Pax, Benji, Caspian and the rest of their crew be enough to stop them? This story has plenty of action and lots going on, plus plenty of dialogue to explain things (along with go off on tangents). I enjoyed this conclusion to Medusa’s trilogy - this crew is a hoot to read! A terrific story.
Winners, Losers, and Champagne Kisses is the final book in the New Eden Asylum series. Although I am sad to say goodbye to Medusa and her men, I loved reading about their captivating world. From the unexpected twists, humor, and steam to the interesting and well developed characters getting their happily ever after this is a great ending to the series. I look forward to reading the next great series by this fabulous author. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Evil angels - how will they convince the world that not all supernaturals are evil? When the Father graces themn with his presence, things change. Will Benji find his parents? Who will win the war? Great characters, and a great finale to a brilliant series!.

Karma at its finest and I loved every second of it. I’m so happy they finally took out those evil priest and nuns because they totally deserved it. I’m gonna miss these characters especially Benji .
I really hope we get the fury, sister Lucifer, and the spaghetti monster story .
This is a delightfully chaotic and wildly entertaining conclusion to the New Eden Asylum Series from JB Trepagnier. The characters are fun and interesting, and the plot is well-done and solid despite all the spinning threads. A good read; and an entertaining series.

I do love how this author wraps it all up. Everything makes sense again and with the most hope I have seen in a book yet. That’s just due to my own tastes and not on the author. I would love to see a spin off on this though. This author’s worlds are so cohesive that I always hate leaving them.
This was a great conclusion to this series. I will definitely read any other books tied to this series. I'm sad that I finished this series, but I'm happy that Medusa and her pack got a HEA.

This was the perfect ending to the series. It was spicy, adventurous and a little sassy. I loved all the characters and I can't wait to read the next series by this author.

I really enjoy reading this book. It’s so wonderfully written. It can have your emotions all over the place. It’s totally full of adventure and it’s very hard to put down once you start reading.

Winners, Losers, and Champagne Kisses (New Eden Asylum Book 3) The story and characters were well written and nicely developed. I enjoyed the chemistry and journey. Good read.
Same comments as the previous books (see below). Trying to navigate ancient myths and peoples in a modern context is difficult, and I can appreciate the effort in trying to incorporate both social media and a multitude of beliefs/pantheons. I found the overall series to be fun but not groundbreaking. ---- Decidedly millennial in style and tone, I can see this rubbing many readers the wrong way. There is a lot of telling without showing in the writing, but I still found it fun, though a bit silly.
The characters are hundreds, if not thousands, of years old and could have used some maturity to make them feel more than way, rather than us just being told that. Most of the darker content is talked about retrospectively, usually decades or centuries past, which makes the characters seem detached from it when it seems like the author means for them to still be actively traumatized by it.
