The author provides some high-level context about different types of diabetes and its symptoms. If you are seeking in-depth medical information, find other resources. The font on the glycemic index chart was a bit small for people with vision issues. However, the overall layout of the book and imagery was good. The recipes have good diversity in ingredients, although I was surprised to see many contain artificial sweeteners. Many of the ingredients used could be found in local grocery stores, but there were some specialized items that may need to be ordered online. The author provides temperatures in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. The reference section provides many additional resources for the reader. I was surprised to see the entire table of contents repeated in the back of the book.

I’ve bought a few diabetes cookbooks before, and most of them were either too complicated, full of strange ingredients, or didn’t feel relevant to someone my age. This one is completely different.

Every recipe uses simple ingredients I already have at home. The instructions are clear, and best of all — the meals are actually tasty. I love that it includes full nutrition info, even net carbs and sugar, which helps me feel more in control.

The 4-week meal plan is a game changer. No more guessing or stressing about what to eat. It’s laid out for 1–2 people, which is perfect for me and my husband.

Highly recommend if you want realistic support for managing Type 2 diabetes without feeling overwhelmed.

Cookbook?

This was supposed to be a "cookbook." I did find a few recipes but not what I consider a "cookbook." I need a real Diabetic "cookbook." With recipes that I haven't seen a million times already.
