If you like the cheesy Hallmark movies where the two leads have feelings for each other and everyone but them can see then this is for you!

Before I get further in my review I want to be transparent I was given an ARC from the author but it DOES NOT affect my opinion.

Now, I am a lover of Hallmark movies, so having Patrick and Victoria push their feelings down for the sake of their friendship was a delight even if I wanted to whack them both on the head at times. The friends-to-lovers, he fell first, and getting the then and now was my cup of tea if I didn’t have adult responsibilities I would have had this book read in a day. I adore their characters grow from teens to adults. It showed how complex relationships can be at all stages (even how friendships and parent connections can be a hell of a ride too).

I found the side characters great. They helped move the story along and didn’t have me skipping paragraphs to get back to our main leads. Jessica is my favorite. She was along with me on this ride.

The reason I gave only 4/5 was the pacing and how things unfolded. I felt what some two characters did were obvious it took from the moment when it was revealed. I wasn’t able to feel the impact the character did. While I do not see it as a huge glaring flaw and would suggest this to others I know that those who read similar books often might feel equal as I do. I understand why the hints were placed but I believe there could have been ways to pave the way where we the reader could have been hit with the blow too.

Other than that, adored how Patrick and Vic came to be. From their first meet to finally being endgame it was a ride. Super grateful I was able to experience it before others so I can tell all my other romance girlies they need to pick this up. It’s one of those reads that will have you kicking your feet and wanting to throw the book, which for me means it was great if I go through a range of emotions.

If Hallmark wrote a book about tv stars who have childhood crushes who become best friends but then drift away from each other only to star in a tv movie years later… this is it. And I was here for all of it!

❤ St Patrick the teenage heartthrob is cast as the lead in a sitcom ' When a Boy Meets a Girl'. He Lives with is parents and has been acting ever since he was born.

❤ Victoria has been auditioning for many roles and wants a break when she finally gets her break for 'When a Boy Meets a Girl' as the female lead. She lives with her mother who is not financially well to do.

❤ Patrick and Victoria meet on the sets of "When a Boy Meets a Girl' , They instantly connect and become the best of friends. Slowly they start developing feelings for each other but do not act on their feelings.

❤ As time passes , one night at the wrap up party of the show Patrick confesses his love for Victoria , but for reasons Unknown she leaves Patrick after that encounter.

❤ 18 Years later , Victoria and Patrick have been cast as the main leads in a made for TV Movie together.

Will Patrick and Victoria get a second chance at love or they are never meant to be together? Why did Victoria leave Patrick that night?

A perfect read that feels like a warm, cozy blanket on a chilly winter evening. Set across dual timelines, this book keeps you engaged from start to finish. I particularly loved the portrayal of teenage attraction, which felt incredibly authentic and relatable.

The chemistry between Patrick and Victoria is simply spot on. From their adorable meet-cute to the very end, their relationship is a delightful rollercoaster of emotions. The way they understand and support each other, often putting the other's happiness above their own, is truly heartwarming. The author beautifully conveys that love isn’t just about dates and romantic gestures, but also about sacrifice and selflessness.

The book strikes a perfect balance between humor and emotion, with plenty of hilarious moments that made me laugh out loud and poignant scenes that tugged at my heartstrings.

Overall, this is a fabulous read that captures the spirit of love. Highly recommended!

I read romance after a while and gosh, this book brought back all the warm feelings back when you read a feel good romance book.

Patrick and Victoria met in their teens while filming a TV show "When a boy met a girl". They instantly became friends. The story throws some great side characters also. Patrick doesn't like acting but he is mandatorily gotten into acting career by his parents who are themselves great actors. Life gives both of our love birds some difficult choices they have to make and they fall apart. However, after 18 years, they again met to shoot a wonderful Christmas movie. And you know how the sparks lit again. But Victoria is in the middle of her divorce and Patrick has some financial issues. How will they get together now?

You definitely need to read this book to feel all the beautiful sparks a great romance book can bring. This story is written in first POV and the chapters get alternative in Victoria and Patrick's POVs. Also, they are wrote in different timelines in their teenage and when they met again after 18 years.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters are built really well. The language is easy to understand. This book is definitely recommended to all the adorable romance readers.

Victoria is a wannabe teen actress from the bad side of town. Patrick is acting royalty with rich parents. When the two of them are cast in a sitcom they will lean on each other to survive fame, but will they get their happily ever after?

This was a great novel that brought about a lot of nostalgia from the early 2000s. It was very detailed and the author wrote it to make you feel like you were there. The miscommunications throughout were frustrating, but the story needed that tension. My one major point of contention with the book is the overuse of the characters saying each others’ names-it honestly took away from the writing for me. If two people are talking to each other then we do not necessarily need you to put who they are talking to in every sentence. The spice was alright but a little cringe. Overall, I enjoyed it and the premise was fun.

I absolutely love discovering a debut author, so I was thrilled to receive an advance copy of Sarah Jane Snow's romance novel. It takes nearly twenty years for Patrick and Victoria to finally get their HEA, but Snow makes it an emotional, steamy journey by intertwining two stories - past and present - each with their unique challenges and obstacles. Snow excels at pacing, banter, sexual tension and creating sympathetic, relatable characters.

While the author provided me a free copy for review, I genuinely enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading "A Pine Rose Christmas," which is about the movie that "Lights Camera Us" is based on. 😀

Lights, Camera, US is a second chance romance with Hallmark movie vibes. Victoria and Patrick meet at an audition for a new TV series in the early 2000s as teens. They become the main stars and America's sweethearts. They have always had an undeniable connection and both were attracted to each other but didn't want to ruin their friendship. When the show ends, they go their separate ways and don't speak for 18 years. Meeting again on a made for TV movie set, their attraction instantly sparks again. Can they trust each other again and make it work?

I absolutely love this kind of story!
Their meet cute was so adorable. 😍
The chemistry between Patrick and Victoria was on point. Their understanding of each other and support was so heart warming. They meet on set and when they wrap they hook up and then She decides to leave, but why? 18 years go by before working together again, while Patrick get another chance and find out why she left that night that was unforgettable?
With some humor and heart warming and breaking scenes this book had it all and I loved it. Would definitely recommend this book

There is so much more to love than gifts and dates. Love is about being selfless. What a beautiful message.
I found myself laughing throughout half the book. I love reading first-person dual POVs. You definitely needed it with this book. There are different time lines, so it was nice to see both sides. This was a nice change. I usually read dark romance, so I try to lighten up my reading sometimes.
If you're looking for a cute romcom, this is for you!

I received this as an ARC, and I enjoyed it! It was a great slow burn with a storyline that played out like a movie. I loved the dual POV and the past/present viewpoints. Their budding relationship as teenagers and young adults was so romantic and swoon worthy. Overall, great read & I can’t wait for the next one!

I loved this entertaining, humorous, and spicy love story. I didn't want to stop reading, and although I appreciated the happy ending, I didn't want it to end. The backdrop of Hollywood and LA, then small town Vermont added to the story.

This book is a second-chance romance, and it had the perfect mix of emotions, humour and heartfelt moments.

The story is about Patrick and Victoria, who were once close friends and worked together on a popular TV show as teens. But after Victoria suddenly disappeared from Patrick's life, everything changed. 18 years later, they meet again on a film set, and all the feelings and unresolved emotions come rushing back.

I loved how the story moved between the past and the present. The flashbacks were well done, showing how it grew from friendship into something more. I also liked how the author managed to balance the Hollywood glitz with relatable, grounded emotions.

The chemistry between Patrick and Victoria was so strong. Their connection felt real and raw.

I hope the author writes more books about some of the supporting characters too.

Romance at its best!
Be prepared to laugh, smile and have wonderment.!
Patrick and Victoria’s story started when they were teenagers. How could they not meet again in the future, when both stared in “When a Boy Meets a Girl.”
Sweet Read!
Sarah Jane Snow , has an incredible technique in introducing characters and plots that are designed to have the reader react.

I had really high hopes for this book. It wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t what I thought it would be.
I guess an 18 year break up is just too long for my liking.

I liked the main characters, Patrick and Victoria. I loved how they met and their friendship grew when they were teenage actors.

I guess I just don’t care for a book where they are not together for almost all of it. Also, there were LOTS of other actors and side characters and boyfriends and husbands and girlfriends…..just lots of people who maybe weren’t all necessary.

It wasn’t horrible I just want a bit more happiness in my romance books and want the couple together for more than the last few chapters.

After reading Sarah Jane Snow’s A Pine Rose Christmas—a sweet and cozy holiday romance—I was excited to pick up Lights, Camera, Us. This book explores the complexities of fame, relationships, and privilege, told through the lens of two people: one self-made, the other born with a silver spoon.

The story alternates between past and present. In the past, two strangers became best friends—until one of them vanished without a word, leaving the other heartbroken and confused. Now, 18 years later, they find themselves working together on a film set, forced to confront old wounds, painful truths, and emotions that never really faded.

This book has everything—humor, sizzling chemistry, and some seriously steamy moments (yes, those scenes). It also challenges societal norms, making it more than just a typical romance especially the family dynamics is so well structured and beautifully grown

However, I do think the book could have been shorter. At over 400 pages, some parts dragged, and I feel it would have packed a stronger punch if it had been trimmed to around 300 pages.

And don’t even get me started on Victoria. She was frustrating beyond words. Playing the victim and ghosting someone “for their own good”? Girl, just say you love him instead of making unnecessary drama! That part had me rolling my eyes so hard.

Overall, Lights, Camera, Us is emotional, intense, and filled with undeniable chemistry.
and would recommend!

If you like a cheesy rom-com or a Hallmark movie this is the book for you. It is a story of two actors starring in such a movie. The story follows Vic and Patrick and their love story that almost never begins. They are brought back together to star in a Hallmark style movie and they have to navigate their feelings , the feelings they have buried and pushed aside for a long time. Will the Cheesy rom com bring them together or will they realise they are just not meant to be.

I read Sarah Jane Snow’s second novel Lights, Camera, Us with great anticipation, as I enjoyed her debut holiday romance a great deal. This read did not disappoint. Patrick and Victoria, sort of a made-for-TV version of Romeo and Juliet, are the star-crossed teen sitcom stars on the cusp of true love, only to be reunited nearly two decades later when they both are cast as the leads in a Hallmark-style holiday romance flick.

Although the trappings of the celebrity life may be the stuff of tabloids for most, Snow has done a commendable job invoking the young stars of classic TGIF sitcoms or Disney Channel who grew up on screen, but struggled to separate fictional personas from real life. Snow makes excellent use of flashbacks in telling this charming and engaging love affair over 18 years, balancing both a coming of age romance, and a grown-up, second chance romance with a wonderfully steamy pay off for readers. The setting and plot are unique, and the characters are multi-dimensional with distinct backgrounds and issues that ultimately bring them together for an HEA that will leave your heart smiling.

This charming romance is perfect for anyone who loves Hallmark vibes with a dash of spice!

I thoroughly enjoyed the dual POV and dual timeline storytelling. It immerses you in the relationship between Victoria, the FMC, and Patrick St. James, the MMC. From the start, you’re left wondering why Victoria finally ends up with her longtime crush and best friend, only to leave him after what seems like the perfect night together.

The last 40% of this book completely stole my heart! Everything started to fall into place beautifully, and Sarah Jane Snow did a fantastic job addressing all the questions I had throughout the story.

Victoria’s decisions felt oddly relatable. Her teenage choices made sense for her situation at the time—honestly, I might have done the same in her shoes.

And then there’s Patrick St. James. He’s incredibly lovable, and you find yourself rooting for him in every part of his life—his family, his career, and his heart. He’s the kind of character you can’t help but cheer for!

This is a cozy romance that spans over more than 20 years. Victoria and Patrick first meet at 16, when they’re both actors on a TV show. As time goes on, they grow into best friends, and both start to feel something more for each other.

Victoria grows up poor and wants security and stability, even if that means sacrificing what she wants most. Patrick grew up with actor parents who never gave him a choice of acting. He has always had feelings for Victoria, ever since they met, but never believed she could feel the same way. When the show ends, he finally admits his feelings. They spend one night together, only to have his heart torn out when Victoria ghosts him the next morning. We later learn the reason why, and it’s truly heartbreaking.

18 years later, they reunite to film a Hallmark movie. Their story mirrors a Hallmark romance and I absolutely loved it. You know there’s a HEA at the end, but the journey includes some heartbreaking moments. Overall, I really enjoyed reading their story and I hope there will be another book for some of the other characters.

This was more on the wholesome side as far as my normal reads go, but that doesn't take away from the fabulous writing style of Sarah. I would have liked to see less of the flashbacks and more of the present day, but I also know they were 100% necessary for the full story to be unlocked. The MMC and the FMC friends to enemies to lovers was a hard one to work through, and the FMC made me shout at her like I was trying to explain what a parallelogram was to a toddler, but I enjoyed this read, nonetheless. If you like a coming of age, rags to riches, second chance romance, you'll definitely be entertained by this book. It was low on the spice scale, but it kind of read like a spicier hallmark movie as it progressed, not in a bad way. In a sweet, loving way.

ARC review —

Patrick. St. James. Can I say more??? Wow, I love him!! Who doesn’t love a swoony, sweet as pie, heartthrob!? He is for sure high on my list of favorite MMCs. He is definitely my favorite part of this book.

Watching the relationship build between Victoria and Patrick was so wholesome. I love a friends to lovers story! The time jumps between the past & present really made their story that much more impactful.

I would recommend this one to anyone that wants a friends to lovers, second chance, & spicy hallmark movie all wrapped into one!

Lights, Camera, Us by Sarah Jane Snow was exactly what I was looking for - a very sweet love story with not a lot of depth. If you're looking for a VERY easy getaway, this is a great read.

Two teenagers meet, work together in Hollywood, are always in love with each other but act like friends, have a falling out, and then find each other again when they shoot a new movie after 18 years of not seeing each other.

It's predictable, lovely, and an easy escape.

I really enjoyed this book I received as an ARC. This story is compelling and well-written. I also found it hysterically funny and full of appealing characters. The dual timeline is a definite plus as it allows you to truly immerse yourself in the characters' lives. I highly recommend it, and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Another free Kindle. (My time isn't free. Gotta stop.) So weird. Two people are in love with each other since teenagerhood. Can't tell becasue they'd ruin the friendship. Go about falling in love with ("but not really -- not like you...") and marrying other people. Just, no. Reunited years later. Hollywood element manages to be boring.

I really enjoyed Lights, Camera, Us! This second-chance romance had the perfect blend of humor, chemistry, and heartful moments. Patrick and Victoria’s story, spanning from their teenage years on a popular sitcom to their reunion years later, was filled with tension, sweet nostalgia, and some sizzling chemistry. I appreciated the mature adult perspective and loved how their past and present selves were explored through flashbacks.

The story was enjoyable- even moments where the pacing slowed down and the secondary characters aided the buildup to certain reveals. Some of the twists felt a little predictable, but it didn’t take away from the overall Hallmark-feeling of the story.

The romance between Patrick and Victoria was swoon-worthy and I loved seeing them finally get their happily ever after. The setting of Hollywood and small-town Vermont added a nice touch to the story which made it feel both glamorous and grounded. Overall, it was a fun, emotional read, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more from Sarah Jane Snow!
