Cami Growing up the way I did, it’s no wonder I had to resort to stripping to make ends meet. I refuse to be my mother though, no matter the cost. So when I land the interview of a lifetime at one of the better strip joints in the city, I think I have it made. Until I meet him. Fang. He not only hires me, but he begins to haunt my dreams. Things aren’t always as they seem though and when push comes to shove, will I be strong enough to survive the hand dealt or will I crumble like a house of cards?
Fang I never wanted to manage a strip club, but I am willing to do whatever I have to in order to make my brothers’ lives easier. So here I am dealing with cat fights and glitter. The whole thing is causing me a big headache until I meet her. Cami. She’s a skittish dancer who refuses to do more than twirl her body around on stage, but I can’t get her out of my mind. She comes with a lot of baggage though, not that I mind. After all, what’s the point of being part of the Lotus MC if I’m not able to carry a bit of weight for the girl of my dreams?
Cala Riley, better known as Cala and Riley, are a pair of friends with a deep seated love of books and writing. Both Cala and Riley are happily married and each have children, Cala with the four-legged kind while Riley has a mixture of both two-legged and four. While they live apart, that does not affect their connection. They are the true definition of family. What started as an idea that quickly turned into a full-length book and a bond that will never end.
Okay I enjoyed this as much as the first book in the series! If you’re looking for some steamy MC vibes, this is it.
Cami had a rough childhood and is as traumatized and guarded as can be expected. Fang is the ultimate MMC for her and would burn the world down to protect her.
Thank you so much to Hambright PR for the e-ARC! I am devouring this series and can’t wait for it to continue.
Fang is the 2nd book in the Lotus MC: San Antonio series. This is also my second book this wonderful writing duo, and I really enjoy how sweet their MC heroes are, even when dealing with darker elements.
Cami has had a tough upbringing and has some trauma due to the physical abuse she received by her prostitute mother. She is a stripper at one of the MC's clubs to help pay for her college. She is one of the best dancers and has to deal with a lot of jealousy and bullying.
Fang is running the club for the MC and is very drawn to Cami. He is very protective and possessive of Cami. He quickly decides she is the one for him and wants to make her his old lady.
I loved the sweetness of the hero and how they communicated through everything. These two were so sweet together.
I am so excited for Loyal's book because he is one of my favorite characters in the MC.
Thank you to Love Notes PR for providing the ARC.
CW: Child abuse, attempted SA, stalking, MC violence.
For the subject matter I was hoping for something grittier. I mean a biker with a stripper? This book somehow managed to neutralize what should have been very hot and spicy. I didn’t find the book offensive, just stale.
Thank you LoveNotesPR for giving me this ARC in exchange of an honest review.
Actual rating 3.75 ⭐️
This was actually really good and I had a great time! There are so heavy topics so check the TW before reading, but it was fun and really easy to read. Cami and Fang were sooo good together, she had a difficult life and he is sooo broody but also very protective. The banter and the chemistry was perfect!
Cami has not had an easy life. She is doing what she needs to do to better herself and than brings her into contract with Fang. Fang is running the stripe club Cami is working at. It is clear from the outset that these two are into each other in a big way. As is normal in an MC book there is plenty of OWD and OMD as well. You are going to love Fang and you are going to love them as a couple.
Fang and Cami were so cute! That man was so gone for her I was grinning from ear to ear and kicking my feet. This series just gets better as the books go on I can’t wait for Loyal’s book next and after I need a book for Happy PLEASE!!!! 10/10 recommend reading this for an ultimate green flag mc member 🤗🤗.
Enjoyed this one!! They had great chemistry. They fit each other really well. I loved how protective Fang was. He always made sure she was always good. Cami was such a hard worker. She's been through a lot but didnt let her past stop her from going after what she wants. Shes working hard to support herself and put herself through school. Fang was so supportive of her also.
Liked how the club took her in especially the ladies. They really treated her like family. Her bond with Happy was adorable. Cant wait for his story.
Trigger Warnings include: motorcycle club related violence, child abuse on page from a parent, CSA on page, stalking, bullying in the workplace, and strip club setting
We’re dumped right into Camille’s past. And I don’t mean jumped, I literally mean dumped. Because my heart took MAJOR damage! But it also means I became emotionally attached to her from the start. So getting to experience Fang love her and respect her and appreciate her felt SO good! And it was nonstop. It was consistent. It was loud. It was beautiful. And so was their relationship. He’s the boss, she’s “just some dancer”. But they’re both independent and this becomes a (wonderful) battle of wits. She doesn’t need a man, but Fang is THE man. He doesn’t want to stand in front of her, he wants to stand next to her. Unless of course it comes to her safety, then he will always protect her at any cost. Protecting her becomes a hobby. And it is so sweet. And that attachment I mentioned earlier? That came back to work against me. But Fang kissed it and made it better. As he always does. This found family is everything I was hoping for! I’m glad we’re getting it in all its glory!
My Favorite Quotes: • “Keep looking at me like that and see what happens.” • “You’re well worth the wait.” • “I’m going to cuddle the fuck out of you.” • “It means you are mine forever. I am yours for longer. It means you will never be alone again.” • “It doesn’t happen without you.” • “Always. I’ll always come for you.” • “Thank you for being mine.” • “We are inevitable, I know without a doubt that the universe would have put you in my path. We were meant to be.”
7/10 Dirty Birdy 3/10 Age Gap 6/10 Workplace Romance 8/10 Series
ARC Review of Fang Book 2 in the Lotus MC: San Antonio Series by Cala Riley This book is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone. This is my first read by Cala Riley and I absolutely loved it. I am definitely in my Motorcycle Club era I give this book 5 stars. This is a darker, spicy, slow burn, age gap, stripper, Motorcycle Club romance. This is Cami and Fang's story. Cami's prologue immediately broke my heart she goes through so much in her childhood and life she’s just fighting to survive and give her self a better life. Cami had a horrible childhood her mom was abusive and an addict who had random men over all the time. Cami is going to college to earn a degree in Hospitality. To pay for college she has a job as a stripper. She hates her job especially with how her mother slept with men for money but it is a means to an end once she has her degree she can walk away. Fang is a member of the Lotus Motorcycle Club the San Antonio chapter. He manages the strip club that Cami works at. The club is one of the Lotus businesses. Fang is drawn to Cami even though she is much younger than him. Cami is drawn to Fang to which she is surprised by since she doesn’t really like or trust men. I love how strong Cami is and how evem though she has it rough shes not weak I love that shes not afraid to stand up to Fang and tell him exactly what she expects. This was a very good book I am definitely going back to read the other Lotus MC books
✨ Thank you to Cala Riley and Hambright PR for the eARC in exchange for an honest review! All opinions are my own. ✨
My first Cala Riley book — and my first motorcycle club romance — and I really enjoyed it! Fang and Cami’s chemistry crackles from the very beginning. He’s ultra-protective of her and determined to keep her safe, while Cami is hardworking and resilient. She’s one of the top earners at the strip club and is also putting herself through college, despite a difficult childhood marked by her mother’s abuse.
The author duo, Cala Riley, weaves a story with many layers and a surprisingly tender love between Cami and Fang. Fang recognizes Cami’s discomfort with violence because of her past and continually adjusts for her, showing real care and awareness. Will Cami let him claim a permanent place in her heart? Don’t miss this emotional and steamy story filled with grit, healing, and devotion.
Ok THIS .. is so my fav in this series ! I can’t even imagine it getting better .
Fang and Cami were SUCH a hot couple! Cami works in Fang’s club, her only way to pay her way through school. He knows dancing isn’t in her heart, but supports her and is always there watching and protecting.
I LOVED how gentle he was with her heart and body, his commitment to having her was insanely hot. Their chemistry is off the charts. I was so sad when this ended, I binged this in a matter of hours.
Hats off to this writing duo- WELL DONE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I could not put this book down! Obsessed with the slow build of the relationship between Cami and Fang. They both just had me coming back for more. Cami was strong yet vulnerable and Fang was so dang sweet taking care of her even if she didn’t realize it was him. Cala Riley always writes such amazing found family within their books and Fang is no different. Another great read!
I love Cala and Riley's writing. Cami and Fang were so good together. He was protective and broody but so sweet and loving. Cami has had a difficult life and just wants to get away. As always, the banter and chemistry was excellent. The brothers are always so much fun.
somehow this was a lot darker than the other MC books i’ve read from the author but still super sweet?
from the minute Fang hires Cami as a dancer at the club’s strip club, he can’t keep his eyes off of her. and eventually the tension between snaps to where neither of them can ignore it. but can Cami work through her trauma enough to trust Fang and the Lotus MC to keep her safe?
overall i enjoyed the story, mostly bc of Fang. he doesn’t let anyone disrespect or put his hands on Cami without them learning some consequences. but i do feel like a lot of things were wrapped up pretty quickly. i would have liked more from Cami’s personal development or more so that they addressed her triggers and trauma more and how they were helping her mental health.
thank you Cala Riley for an e-ARC of 𝑭𝒂𝒏𝒈 💙
𝑭𝒂𝒏𝒈 is available to read September 4th
✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ M/F, 1st person dual POV, 19 fmc / ??? mmc stripper fmc, motorcycle club road captain, boss x employee, virgin fmc, no OW or OM drama, no manwhore, bullying from other dancers, no 3rd act break up, found family, touch her and die, HEA, interconnected standalone
CW: this one we the very beginning of the book has on page descriptions of attempted child sexual assault by the fmc’s mothers johns (she is 14 at the time), as well as on page physical abuse from her mother as a child. the rest of the book has recollection/flash backs triggered by events throughout the book.
So far all the books I have read from these authors has been great! Fang is part of the ‘San Antonio’ series in the Lotus MC world.
We follow Cami who hasn’t had it easy. Dealing with self worth issues, love, trust, she is an 18yo dealing with bullying and harassment and ends up working as a dancer to help get her through college. She has a thing for Fang who is the boss in Boudoir, unknowingly, he has his mind set on her too. Fang being part of an MC was as I expected, tough on the outside, but gentle and caring for Cami. Loved it! Both characters were nicely written, back n forth banter. Their chemistry was great, even their🌶️ was yummy! Their age gap was something I could totally see, cause who hasn’t had a crush on an older guy in their teens and early 20’s🫣 ehem lol. I loved the interaction between the main characters and side characters, which gave the story more depth in values and family.
The bonus chapters were fun to read, and great to see who is next!!It made me laugh and excited for the next book🥰
As I mentioned, this book is part of the Lotus MC book series, which consists of 4 books. So far the San Antonio spin -off has 3 books lined up, but we never know what our writer duo will do🫣all in all Fang was a great read. Well deserved 5/5⭐️ #arc #arcreview #bookrecs #lotusmcsanantonio #fang @Cala Riley
Fang is Book 2 in the Lotus MC: San Antonio series, and oh how I loved Fang and Cami!
Cami's backstory is heartbreaking. Her traumatic childhood has left her with both physical and emotional scars. Growing up, Cami was always determined to be nothing like her prostitute mother. However, desperate times call for desperate measures, and in order to keep a roof over her head, eat and pay for college Cami becomes a popular stripper at a club owned by the Lotus MC. Her boss..... Fang.
I freakin loved Fang for Cami. He was the perfect blend of possessive, protective, supportive, sweet and caring. I mean.. How can you not love a man that simply knows what he wants. He was all.... She's the one and yep I want to make her my old lady ASAP. I loved this for Fang but especially for Cami who no only deserves love but a found family and HEA. I mean... Swooning.... Melting..... "I think you were put on my path so I could show you what it really means to be loved." And... Cami... My poor aching heart... Gosh she went through it all during this story.... physical and emotional abuse, bullying, jealousy, and mc drama. But.... she survived the journey and found her forever home... "I finally found my home, and it's not a place. It's him."
I'm loving this MC. Happy has me soooo intrigued, I can't wait for his story.
Fang is a thrilling, passionate read that perfectly blends suspense and romance. Cala Riley’s storytelling pulled me in with its intense plot and steamy chemistry between the leads. The tension between Fang and the heroine crackled with every interaction, making their slow-burn romance both electrifying and deeply emotional.
I loved the heroine’s fierce independence and quick wit, which matched perfectly with Fang’s rugged, protective nature. Their dynamic kept me hooked, balancing moments of vulnerability with high-stakes drama. The suspense element added layers of excitement and urgency that elevated the romance without overshadowing it.
A few plot points felt a bit predictable, but the strong character development and emotional depth more than made up for it. Supporting characters enriched the story and added dimension to the world Cala Riley created.
If you enjoy romantic suspense with steamy tension, complex characters, and a gripping storyline, Fang is definitely worth a read. Cala Riley delivers an engaging and satisfying experience that I’d recommend to fans of dark and intense romance.
Cami is a young college student who works at Fang’s strip club to pay for school and housing when she leaves her abusive home at 18.
Fang is drawn to her but steers clear as she gives him attitude when they have any interaction at the club. After seeing her panic when a patron grabs her arm, he needs to protect her.
Cami also has a bully from her past and another MC member constantly harassing her at every turn so Fang is quickly proving to her she’s safe with him and he cares about her.
Cami and Fang have a lot of sweet moments and hardly any miscommunication. He does have violent moments as a MC member and she isn’t bothered by it even though she has deep rooted trauma with violence.
I enjoyed their story and relationship path, but I felt a lot was left untold in regard to her mother’s abusive nature and how she could heal. I also thought having two separate guys “after” her was too much and rushed conclusions to both of their plots.
If you love MC books with greens flags you’ve come to the right place . This series has gotten better and better and I can’t wait for the next book . This is the second book in the San Antonio chapter of the Lotus MC . Our boys aren’t the rowdy, trashy pandas we occasionally see . No , these boys are all alpha teddy bears who melt like butter .
Cami is a sweet 18 yr old trying to make something of herself . Unfortunately life has happened and she’s had it rough , if body and self esteem issues aren’t enough sprinkle some bullying and harassment in there for some sizzle .
Fang is the protective , broody boss we all dreamed of having at that age lol , this man is outrageously sexy and has a hard time admitting our girl cami isn’t getting under his skin as well.
I loved their chemistry and banter , I love the protectiveness fang has . He is very much touch her and die vibes , I loved the spice and plot even more than savage and Bailey’s book . I can’t wait for book 3 , I need loyals book already . Fang and savage were both great but loyal is bae . lol
First of thank you for the chance to get the ability to read the ARC of this book!!
There are many triggers to this book : abuse, stalking, motorcycle club, stripping, and violence.
Now to start Cami the main character had a very hard life and to watch her deal with it as well as grow from it was very proud to read. I absolutely loved how she slowly gets a back bone but still when no one was around let her doubts slowly creep in but that is where Fang aka Jensen steps in. Fang the club owner falls for Cami fast and the ways he protects her I absolutely loved. Watching the story between them as well as individually was great. Then you have the loving sidekicks as I call them that the story has Bailey, Happy, Viv, Savage and Tiny who do anything for both Fang and Cami. If you like motorcycle club books and can handle all the triggers I highly recommend this book!!!
I knew from the very first book that Cala Riley had a hit on their hands with Lotus MC: San Antonio—and book two, Fang, proves it beyond a doubt. This story doesn’t just ride steady; it shifts into a higher gear. It’s heart-pounding, it’s mesmerizing, it’s intoxicating.
Cami will steal your heart from the very first page. Her childhood was nothing short of brutal, but despite the scars she carries, she’s determined to build a better future. Her goal? College. Her means? Stripping—because survival sometimes demands sacrifice. But every night when she takes the stage, her eyes find one man—her boss, Fang. The owner of the club. The road captain of the Lotus MC.
Fang tries to keep his distance from the young dancer who tempts him like no other. But night after night, he sits in the shadows, watching her move, feeling a pull he can’t ignore. The connection between them is undeniable, raw, and electric. And when they finally give in, sparks ignite into a wildfire.
But danger is never far from the world of the Lotus MC. Enemies lurk in the darkness, threatening to tear apart what Fang and Cami are just beginning to build. Strap in tight—because this ride is wild, gritty, and full of heat. With the wind in your hair and your hands gripping the handlebars, Fang will take you on one hell of a journey.
Cala Riley has once again delivered an MC romance that’s as raw and real as it is swoon-worthy. This series is only getting better, and you’ll be hooked from start to finish.
I LOVE Found Family! If you like dark romance, Motorcycle Club, found family this is a good one! She’s had a rough life and her trauma really takes over sometimes so we see not only the MMC step in but the club as well and that’s what I love about mc romance. This one really highlights the found family aspects and friendships. The FMC has a lot of growth regardless of her circumstances and I loved seeing that. The MMC is such a softie for her which I love!!!! If you’re looking for quick paced, intro into mc romance i definitely recommend! And if you’re like me who is obsessed with MC romance this one didn’t disappoint and I love when I can sneak a good one into my tbr between my longer reads!
*I was given this book as an eArc but my review is based solely on my own thoughts and opinions*
You come in already in the story, she already knows Fang. I wish there was some build up of story before their first meet, idk something. I feel like I’ve missed so much.
I’m not familiar with biker gangs but do they all have cheesy nicknames? Happy, Loyal, Crank. At least Savage and Fang are cooler but still kinda cheesy.
The writing itself felt off as well. Like a lot of the things they say don’t feel like what someone like this in real life would say. It felt flat. For this type of story, it did not belong.
While this is second in the series, I found that you could read it as a standalone.
It just wasn’t for me personally but I’m happy to see others have liked it.
Cami is working as a “dancer” trying to pay for college on her own. She works at a club owned and run by the Lotus MC and the manager, Fang, can’t get her out of his head. He knows he should stay away, she is not only his employee but much younger yet the pull between them is too great. Can they find a way to work? This is an age gap romance with some heavier topics discussed so please read any TW before beginning. That being said, it’s not a super gritty type of MC romance and more a lighter MC as it’s more the relationship between these two and other dancer drama. Told in first person and dual POV.
Tropes: Motorcycle Club Age gap Boss x employee Touch her and 💀
Loved 🥰: - seeing how supportive Fang was of Cami, he just wanted the best for her - fast paced & an easy read - having two “bad guys” I wasn’t sure where the danger was going to come from & that kept me hooked on the story
Why it wasn’t rated higher (for me personally)🤷🏻♀️: - this one felt a little rushed to me, I would have liked to have seen a bit more depth to the story & characters
Yes yes yes!!! All the way! Cami and Fang are perfect! Meant to be doesn’t even describe the way the stars aligned for these two! Protective over his woman before she even knows she’s his, when he’s equally hers and he has no idea she’s feels the same way. Add some hot motorcycle moments and you have a perfect MC romance!
Fang really stole my heart in this book! His protective side and love for Cami was truly something absolutely beautiful! I really devoured this book page by page and enjoyed every second of it🖤
eARC review I was really excited to get into this book. Not sure though if it’s because I haven’t read anything else from this universe/author before or if the plot just fell a bit flat, but I was underwhelmed. Still a decent read, and if you like motorcycle gang romance I would consider it to be worth trying!!
*please dear lord tho in the future can we not use an abusive mother’s name as a safe word?*
