첫 소설집 『마음에 없는 소리』가 ‘소설가 50인이 뽑은 올해의 소설’ 2위에 꼽히고 다음해 김만중문학상 신인상을 수상하며 큰 관심을 불러일으킨 작가 김지연의 두번째 소설집 『조금 망한 사랑』이 출간되었다.

🌿The writing is emotionally distant in a way that makes you lean in closer, asking yourself what kind of love you’ve lived through🌿

What resonated most with me was the author’s writing style. It was emotionally indirect, but deeply descriptive. Rather than spelling out emotions, she invites you to reflect on them long after turning the last page. I found myself especially pondering the portrayal of couples going through emotional stagnation of growing apart.

While the stories didn’t all leave a strong impression, they offered moments that quietly asked, "What does it mean to love, and to quietly drift?"
