My family is being tested. My brother’s freedom is in jeopardy, and in my hands. How could I be so happy in my life and scared at the same time. No matter what, I know what needs to be done, and that’s to protect my brothers. The one person I never thought I would see was standing a foot away from me. When Tasha was sent out my life, I never thought I would see her again. I never got to handle her the way that I always wanted to, but now it was time to make sure this bitch joined her son – in the dirt. On my unborn child, I was going to make sure that the family came out on top. Emotions are high, things could go very different for us. However, nobody wins when the family feuds. Niggas came at my fiancé; they came for mine and now they had to answer to me. Chrome Vipers had been on a war path since Tookie been locked up. Looking to anyone to be their leader until Tookie returned home. Funny shit – Tookie was gonna return home to bodies. You don’t try and touch Mrs. Inferno and think I’m not airing shit out behind her. Game over.
Sis! I highlighted damn near the entire book honey! This chokehold Big Pa & Big Mama got me in is wild! I laughed, picked me jaw up and was yelling like I don’t & didn’t have the good sense the Almighty blessed me with! I felt for Jean after hearing her story…choosing between kids had to be soul altering for her & Des. Aimee….hmm as proud of her I am for stepping up and stepping hard.. I’m also like huh??… because that secret & girl fuck Khalil!! Don’t get caught up Grasshopper!*squints and side eye* At this point I’m from New York instead of California, I ride motorcycles and drive black on black hemi’s and I’m ready to let my ish go while yelling Fuck you meannnn! Just like Gerald!
First of all, Aimee wth?!?? Capri and Meer are still everything, and they are both certified crash-outs, lol. We are finally about to see everything Forty put in place. Rich Parker is the man from the plane, and I should’ve known! Jean needs to do better and Capri is better than me in that situation. This is more of a ramble of my thoughts than a review. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and am at the halfway point so I’m excited to see where this story goes!
Very predictable and repetitive despite the author telling us not to compare books. Very disappointing because there was so much potential but i could not finish it. All the shoot outs, all the pregnancy etc etc was all too repetitive. It was sad to end it here but again there was so much i felt was unnecessary, like why is aimee and capella still even a topic? I personally didn’t care for either of them and aimee’s ‘ditzy girl’ Stig just wasn’t doing it for me because huh? 😭 also I wasn’t too interested in the new brother because there was already a lot going on, i still don’t know who half the cast is like bruh who’s forty? I think there was just tooo much books that its kinda dragging out and it’s giving lets just put the beautiful story of the delgatos ro bed. But that’s just me though so imma put it to bed at book 2. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend but i loved capones books and would recommend them!
I absolutely love this series. I finished this book in mere hours it was so damn good. Jahquel's pen is not to be played with. But I have thoughts, bordering along the lines of unpopular opinions.
Even though it was toned down in this book, I do not like how Capri is so man-obsessed and I’ve always felt this way. Capri is in her 20s; she’s young, beautiful, and successful, but she doesn’t feel accomplished because she isn’t married… in her 20s? When she has her whole life ahead of her? She then takes a year to “find herself,” only to come back the exact same way that she left? How did Capri really grow during that time away? Jean truly did a number on her because there's no way that her self-esteem should be that low. Literal bird mentality
With that said, while I do like Quameer, I don’t love him for Capri. This may sound crazy, but I felt more of an organic connection with Naheim and Kincaid with Capri than I do with Capri and Meer. He says that he built her back up, but he literally just got her pregnant and the rest fell in line. IDK. I know it's being told and written very descriptively about how much they love each other, but I just don't feel it, at least not the way that I felt it with Naheim and Kincaid.
Also, I hate how Naheim is now the fuck boy of the entire series. When we first met his character, Nah was SOLID. He was wrong for cheating on Capri but he still held it down. Now it feels like, “Well, we have Meer so it’s up for him.” The Naheim from the first 3 books would NEVER bust out Capri’s business in front of everybody. His character development has taken a nosedive. Then he got beat up. The man who took bullets for his set and nearly died?
Anywho, this series has me in a chokehold. And I saw that we’re getting a book about Menace!!
The story has gotten better but I’m over old characters popping back up. I will live a happy life never reading about Naheim again, and the sad part is I know he’s still gonna come back. Then Tasha… oh brother like idc about her at all. I’m glad that whole Capri/Jean situation is done cause that was insane and her little redemption arc wasn’t redeeming enough. Goon is so funny in this book and I would love to see a story with him and Zoya. I still love Meer, he’s amazing for Capri and I’m glad they have each other. Aimee… don’t even get me started. I barely like her as is and now she’s just pmo. I hope Capella blacks on her cause he does not deserve that.
Let’s get into it ! Jah always does her big one and this book continues the reign! Some big issues got squared away with the family and some secrets were put to rest ! ( MRS.Jean, I was looking at you sideways for a minute ) The growth Capri has shown becoming a healed woman is beautiful and Meer being by her side is amazing to see! The family is growing and glowing! 2 fingers swiped under my nose and spit !!! It’s Lady INFERNO around this bih !!!
☆☆☆☆☆ ——- I been waiting on Naheim ass to get hissss!!! Quameer is the epitome on standing on business for his woman! He supports her and isn’t intimidated by her at all and I love that. Capri is such a boss b*** but I wish she sat her ass down with what she going through lmao.
Jean ass piss me off so bad. She kinda grew on me when I got inside her POV but still like she do wayyy to much!
Where she at? She so petty bruhhh! I was right about my theory! But leave it to her to throw something in there to completely throw me off course! Talk about jaw dropping! I’m sitting here trying to figure out how and when I missed it! Talk about a plot twist! I need 2.5 like yesterday! Sensational
This book was messy-messy! Family drama, family secrets, lies, deceit, corruption and bodies…lots and lots of bodies. I love how these books read like a tv series or a movie. Plenty of drama, a bunch of action and don’t forget the spice!
I love the encouragement for Pri to go away, stop people pleasing and learn to love herself. To deal with the dark side of her feelings, grow through them, feel them and honestly try to forgive herself for her decisions and accepting what she didn't deserve.
The maturity of Quameer was not missed. He is everything I need him to be for Pri.
Jahquel, Jahquel, Jahquel!!! Miss Mamas, you did your big one. That’s how you write a MF’n book!!! I absolutely love everything she puts out. This time was no different.
I’m happy to see Capri being loved properly and treated like the fucking queen she is. Quameer is definitely my favorite book bae. I love him down. All the old cast of characters are in this one with a few new additions. I cackled so many times while reading this and my cheeks hurt from smiling.
The drama and action had me on the edge of my seat. One thing I love about Jah is that she can string together the most intense scene then drop some comedic relief in at the perfect moment. I need her to be my real life friend so I can get sneak peeks on all the books to come.
Mrs. Inferno has taken a big role in helping the family stay safe. The plan is in motion and everyone knows their role.
Nah: you had that coming and hopefully learned your lesson. Don't make Meer have to show you again. Tasha: girl you better hope you make it to see freedom Core: welcome to the family Brandi: I see you gon have to learn the hard way Jesse: do you know you only have 30mins???🤣🤣

⚠️ Full Delgatos Series Review (Books 1 – 3.5) ⚠️ Stop reading now if you haven’t read them all, because I’m spilling everything.
Capri 1 This was okay, but definitely more of an introduction than a full story. I loved Quamir’s relationship with his daughter—it made him so lovable. Capri finally came back from her year away and started stepping into her independence, but I wanted more spice between her and Meer. Felt more like setup than substance. Rating: 2.5/3.
Capri 1.5 & 2 We meet Core, the third brother—calm, smart, intuitive but still deadly. Very much a Delgato. I liked him instantly. Capri and Quamir’s relationship grew in a real way—their communication was refreshing, their wedding was beautiful, and Capri finally found her place with his family. Her bond with Ryder was adorable, and her moment standing up to her mother was long overdue. These books gave me the family warmth I was waiting for.
Capri 2.5 This is where Capri’s story started to get overshadowed. Aimee’s abortion, postpartum struggles, and Khalil dragging her into danger took up most of the spotlight. Important topics, yes—but Capri’s arc faded into the background, and I missed her voice.
Capri 3 By this point, it felt like everyone else’s story with Capri sprinkled in. Capella absolutely pissed me off—cheating on Aimee and putting his hands on her. Wannabe-Cappadonna behavior without any of the loyalty. I did like that the adults in their circle sat him down and made it clear that mess would never happen again. But then the girl he cheated with popped back up messy, sent Aimee pictures, and dropped a pregnancy bomb. The disrespect was too much.
Capri 3.5 Capella kept irritating me, but Core really stood out as a good friend to Aimee. His whole “two wives” thing with Skylar and Jeffie is… interesting, not sure how that’s going to pan out. Yasmin getting more screen time and even sitting down with Aimee made me wonder if Jahquel is planting seeds there. The big political takedown (Morgan, Rich, all of that) felt anticlimactic—we were told way more than we were shown. Morgan’s “beef” being about the Delgatos’ father and Elena came out of nowhere, but I will say it did bring the story full circle since we started with Cappadonna in jail and not really knowing why.
✨ Overall I liked how Capri finally found her voice and confidence, and Meer stayed consistent—loving, lovable, and holding her down. But as her books went on, her story got drowned out by everyone else’s drama. What really carried was the Delgato energy—the brothers’ wild personalities, their disrespectful nicknames (Cappadonna & Capone had me laughing), and the pure chaos they bring.
Series rating: 3.5 stars. Messy, frustrating, funny, and full of family drama—but entertaining enough to keep me reading. Now I’m ready for Quasim & Blair, because I just know the Infernos are about to snatch my heart.

Jahquel did what she always does—delivered a story that feels real, raw, and unforgettable. Capri 2 isn’t just a continuation; it’s growth in motion. You can see Capri evolving—still flawed, still fiery, but slowly learning what peace and self-worth look like. Her character development was deep and emotional; she’s not just reacting this time—she’s reflecting, standing on business, and figuring out who she really is outside of the chaos.
What I love most is that Jahquel didn’t just focus on Capri. The other characters got their shine too, and it made the story richer. We see sides of them that reveal their own pain, love, and loyalty. Every scene with them felt layered—nobody’s just there for filler; everyone’s actions mean something. The friendships, betrayals, and love dynamics all play a role in shaping Capri’s journey, and it’s written with that classic Jahquel balance—gritty, emotional, and real.
This book made me root for Capri in a new way. She’s been through so much, but in Capri 2 you can tell she’s starting to take her power back. The lessons, the heartbreak, the resilience—it all hits different. Jahquel’s pen stays undefeated. She gave us growth, closure, and just enough chaos to keep us begging for Capri 2.5
Mr& Mrs Crash Tf out Inferno 🤣Honestly I love all of this for Capri. Mear doesn’t play about Capri and it’s about time she has someone who is really truly about her. Nah needs to have several seats. I’m annoyed that Tasha is back once again but whatever. The plot keeps on twisting and I’m strapped in for the ride. I’m glad Capri spoke up when it came to how her mother was treating her. Everyone saw it and was scared to speak up? Aimee really on some sneaky stuff and I just know it’s not going to end well smh. Khalil? Abortion? I’m still not over the fact that there is another brother 🫠
I wish it was all one big ass book!

I don’t like the momma. She’s an evil little thing. Capri never should’ve told her family to still treat Nahiem like family just cause his family was shit. The man not only cheated on her but impregnated her ex best friend. The woman she literally hated. Love the way Quameer put nahiem stupid ass in his place. The cliffhanger from 1.5 I loved to see the progression with that as well. Quameer and Capri are crazier enough for each other. The way Meer makes sure she knows that she’s worth every ounce of love and amount of protection that her heart desires but never could get fucking around with Nahiem bitch ass. The amount of little pieces that made you wonder why is this important makes sense at the end of the book. Can’t wait to see what 2.5 has to offer
So many emotions in this one. Aimee holding onto some things has me on edge. I'm curious to see how this will all unfold. The mother daughter relationship between Jena and Capri is so raw and real. Very rarely do parents take accountability for the unnecessary pressure they put their children through. I pray they find healing. Of course Big Pa and Big Ma are everything. They way he protects her against everyone warms my heart and I love that for her. Can't wait to see where the story goes from here..
Jahquel J. had my emotions all over the place with this one. She knew she really tapped in because she included discussion questions in the back of the book. I laughed out loud, I was angry, shocked, touched and sad. The one thing that really changed was my love for Quameer Inferno…it grew even more intense! OMG! This man, this man, this man!
I love how Jahquel infuses real life family difficulties into these fantastical, dramatic stories. It’s part of what makes it such a great ride. I adore the Inferno family and love them for my girl Capri. Baby Doll is up and you love to see it!
I am skipping on rating the 1.5 or 2.5 and rate the book as a wholeeee 🤭🤭 I think this is my fave one so farrr!! The plot tickenssss..... Aimee I dnt have words for your stupid ass maar goed!! Meerr you is a beautiful man 🥰🥰🥰 the way you comming behind your womann is 10/10!! Andd thee portuguese has me weak in the kneessss 🤭🤭 Ughh cannot believe I am almost finished with this serie I dnt want it to be overr 😭😭😭 and as usual the fcking cliff hanger at the endd has me picking up the next book right away no breaks in between!!
It just keeps getting better and better and juicier and juicier. I’m sat. Capri is finally putting on the ADA pants and I can’t wait to see how this turns out.
Now for the spoilers. I knew I was right about Aimee. She’s BEEN FISHY!!!! I should be upset that she potentially cheated on Capella but this means they might potentially break up and for that, I’m dancing in glee. She’s about to join Naheim on my hate list. I’m trying so hard to have empathy for her and her relationship with motherhood so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt but Aimee, you in danger girl.
Look I love Big Pri. Period. Quameer is one of them ones and the way he shows up for Capri is what makes me love him the most. I got beef with Jean Delgato and I’m sure it won’t last forever but it’s here for now. Aimee…..it makes sense why she was moving different. Idk where this is headed because Jahquel keeps adding layers but I’m ready to see where she takes us next!!!!!
Miss ma’am you need to get back here and explain why and yes she is dead wrong for not telling capella about it. It’s a join decision when you are in a committed relationship especially when you begging that man to marry you.
This subplot of Capri being undercover is giving me ANXIETY! omg.
So a lot of background story in this one which I so appreciate. The family is coming together, Aimee I just wanna know why you did Capella like that? And I wonder what they gone do, soon as they realize Capri has to now work with a Chrome Viper?👀
