Such an insightful short read! I found out about Jack Whitten from the MoMA’s ongoing exhibition, “The Messenger.” Ever since my first time seeing his works, I’ve been fascinated by his life and his artistry.

I found this book at the MoMA gift shop on my *second* visit to see Mr. Whitten’s pieces and am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase! It’s full of images of some of his most iconic works (both in full and in detail) and also provides context to the works. Getting to understand more of his vision, his influences, and his dreams made this a worthwhile journey to take!
