As a deployed US Army sniper, my days are filled with little more than my scope and memories of home. That is, until I connect with Zoe, a small town girl from upstate New York whose fun, easy banter brings me unexpected joy in the middle of a war zone.
Our connection is instant and intense, and we soon find ourselves in a long-distance relationship, eagerly counting down the days until we can finally meet in person. The plans I have for us, both in and outside the bedroom, fill both our days with unrivaled excitement.
But just as we're about to find out if our off-the-charts chemistry translates to the real world, unexpected conflicts—namely Zoe’s ex-boyfriend and my suddenly imploding life-plan—threaten to tear us apart.
As Zoe and I try to navigate the uncertainties of our situation, and I attempt to reintegrate into civilian life while fostering a brand new relationship, we're forced to confront our deepest fears and decide what we're willing to sacrifice for love.
Steamy! When Zoe and Nate start texting randomly when he’s overseas, neither one can anticipate that they’re meeting the love of their lives. Slowly getting to know each other through the phone lines saves their relationship when Nate gets out of the service and tries to make things work in person. Nate has difficulty reentering society, but Zoe is in it to win it! This book is #2 in the Kitchi Falls series, but this can be read as a stand-alone. It’s steamy as all get out and I loved the setting and the characters! Great book!
Zoe and Nate are unconventional, that’s for sure! Acquaintances who run through friendship texting to something more faster than either of them expected, they have some real possibility at a bright future. Of course, that’s if miscommunications and a slight omission don’t stop them in their tracks first. Luckily, though, they learn how to communicate face to face almost as easily as they went from meeting to steamy over the phone. But is it meant to be, or just meant for now?
Nate has some things to work through and needs to know that he’s not just coasting. Which I totally get. But he almost neglects Zoe to do it. And I really mean almost, because even though he withholds some of his dilemma for a time, he doesn’t shut her out completely. And for Zoe, it’s hard to be okay with even a partial shutout, but she tries her best to understand because she knows that Nate definitely has some baggage to handle with care.
I will admit that I’d wondered how they could make this work, and I definitely wasn’t expecting the solution that Nate came up with, but it 100% works for these two and their dreams for a possible forever! Now I wait to see if a certain friend will leave the person who isn’t worthy of her, or if someone else will find their person first. Either way, I look forward to it n
"Without the rough patches, the smooth ones wouldn't be so sweet."
Phew what can I say about Nate? This is the second book in the Military On Main series. I thought Lucas and Charlee’s story was steamy in the first book, well they got nothing on Nate and Zoe’s chemistry. A fast paced story that won’t let you go till the end shows how you can find love in the most unlikely places if you’re just willing to take that risk. I was hooked on this book from the first page and can’t wait to see where the series leads. Bella doesn’t hold anything back and I’ve loved every books of hers I’ve read so far.
Review: A short and spicy dual POV romance that makes you appreciate the small things. In this story, Bella creates a good military romance about finding yourself after life changes.
Zoe was a character that makes you feel. I liked how we met her after a break up and saw her on the low since we then read about how the bond with Nate brought her up. I found her story to be raw and the easy banter she finds herself in with Nate, the mysterious military man, was hilarious and deep. I enjoyed how the story included their text conversations and alternated between the two of them as their bond deepened.
Nate was another strong character for this book. I loved how Bella made his return from service to be real and hard. Hiss troy was a strong point for me since he had real problems and faced trauma from his service that was not brushed over. His growing feelings for Zoe were also tackled well since he had the fear he would not be good enough. Bella does a good job with making sure his character finds himself in this story and I enjoyed the growth along the way.
This book does have a lot of spice. The two of them are instantly attracted to one another and the unconventional way they meet via texting first was new and different. I enjoyed how the texting conversations allowed them to be more open and honest to one another. I also thought it made it easier for them to get closer to one another since it was all based on them and not outside forces.
So I am typically someone who reads Dark Themes Romance pretty much 98% of the time .but whenever I need a change Bella is without a doubt always one of my go to authors. Bring It on really was absolute perfection, a must read, the type of love story that has the ability to play on all your emotions. Seriously!! There were so many moments while reading Zoe and Nate’s journey I would myself unexpectedly speechless and then the next second I felt so frustrated I wanted to throw my iPad right across the room . There were also so many times I felt like my heart was being ripped right outta my chest with tears streaming down my face . But I also smiled and rooted so so hard the whole way through. I really do not want to give any details away as to how the story unfolds because trust me when I say Bring It On Is a emotional rollercoaster that is definitely best enjoyed going in with a open mind and no spoilers . It’s angst and steamy , so emotional and beautifully written, it’s filled with love , passion, drama , tragedy, intrigue, suspense, obstacles, second chances, witty banter , family , friendships, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments, unexpected surprises, twists and turns and so much more . It’s unforgettable , unputdownable, a must read . Tropes 💜Small Town 💜Slow Burn 💜Military Hero and Long Distance love
ANOTHER GREAT!!! Bring It On by Bella Michaels is part of the the continuing story taking place in Finger Lakes of New York (wine country) Though this book can be read as a standalone. The truth is that I am mostly a historical romance kind of girl but I am so hooked on Bella’s book. They are so very well written in each character’s perception so you get the full story and what both main characters are thinking. It is truly brilliant and Bring It On is right up there as one of her best. I found this book to be easy to read, wonderful characters, vivid description and just a true joy to read. The romance between Nate and Zoe was totally hot from the very beginning to the very end! This story has a bad breakup, an Army snipper that was wounded, being in Africa, a note in a package, being raised a military brat and constantly moving around, some very interesting texting, a secret that should have been told, wanting control, meeting for the first time and falling in love. I am so very highly recommend you read this book… as I said… Nate and Zoe are totally hot!!!
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Bring It on and Bella has once again brought us a swoon worthy sweet/dirty talking alpha hero and a sassy, independent woman. Nate and Zoe are brought together by mutual friends. Nate is deployed as a sniper so when a package arrives from home, he is more than grateful what he didn't expect is the note from a friend of a friend who also had a father that served in the military. Soon that note leads to a number exchange, occasional texts that become daily conversations and then finally a face-to-face meet set in the beautiful area of the New York Finger Lakes. Zoe has been burned before so she is walking into to this romance with eyes wide open. Nate may have just a duffel bag when he arrives, but he is also packing a lot of baggage that he/they will need to sort through! Nate and Zoe have off the charts chemistry/ sizzle, great banter, real problems, misunderstandings, wonderful meddling friends and the beginning of a romance that will have you cheering them on!!! Loved watching them navigate their relationship, careers, bumps in the road and watching their future unfold. ~~Michele McMullen~~
Steamy, intensely romantic, and emotional, I found the relationship that developed between Nate and Zoe, spurred on by modern technology, a fun facet to the plot. They had so much in common, and yet they still had to get beyond mistrust and misunderstandings. I identified strongly with Zoe, who spent her youth moving from base to base with her military father, and the fact that she found it easy to make new friends, but difficulty in letting them into her inner space. Nate's adjustment to civilian life was also understandable and I'm glad that the author brought out the point that there is no shame in seeking therapy, otherwise, emotional wounds tend to fester and eventually boil over. As passion escalated in this romance, so did love until it brought Nate and Zoe to a point where they were both willing to change to give their relationship a chance. This well-written and absorbing novel comes to a happy and satisfying conclusion. I received a copy of this romance as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Nate is on a military mission half across the world. After being injured he received a package from his former army buddy, and it included a note from a friend. Nate doesn’t know Zoe, and Zoe has only heard about him from her friend. But she wanted to do something nice for him. After receiving the note, Nate wants to know more about Zoe, and they start texting each other. Not that easy with the time difference, but they get to know each other a bit. And after a while, those texts turn a bit hotter and naughtier. But can just texting and maybe a few phone calls make them more than friends? I was enchanted by this book, read it in one sitting, not being able to put it down. Zoe and Nate are two opposites where she has her life together (career and all, not love), and Nate will not reenlist after this mission, so he doesn’t know what to do when he’s back home. But their chemistry is off the charts and right there from the beginning. And Nate is one to challenge Zoe, which she gladly accepts. I hope to see more from this couple in future books.
Who knew a care package with a note could lead to something more! Nate is in the process of getting medically discharged from the army after an ambush. Zoe just had her heart broken from who she thought was the one.
I’m a sucker for the long distance romance because they learn about each other before the physical part. Zoe and Nate start texting after she sent a note alongside a care package while Nate was recovering. They start a friendship keeping one another updated and preoccupied while both deal with life changes. Once Nate if officially discharged they meet but it doesn’t start like the reunion we expect. Let’s just say DRAMA! & it all starts on the plane ride to Kitchi Falls! But we can’t have growth without communication which is something both struggle especially when they are both just as stubborn and have conflicting feelings about the situation. All in all I enjoyed this book! Yes there were some spicy scenes that add to the chemistry but there is so much more behind it! Highly recommend and I can’t wait for the continuation of the series!
A modern-day romance that begins with long-distance texting.
I think this will be a book that many will relate to since most turn to dating apps and begin texting someone to get to know them. This story begins just that way and quickly turns into intimate texting.
The thought of an army sniper serving his country is sexy enough but also learning about Nate as you pull back the layers makes him even more enticing. Somewhat guarded, understandably so, with other issues he has to deal with. When something feels right, you have to jump on it, right?
Zoe is someone who would be there for you no matter what, even if she's dealing with something herself. A recent break-up has her friends coming to the rescue but in all reality, once she meets Nate, that break-up doesn't seem so awful. And yet, is she ready to fully open her heart?
Texting to real life romance, what's not to love? I was gifted with an ARC and wanted to post my thoughts.
Bring It On is a strangers to lovers, military romance that is sweet and steamy at the same time. This is the first book that I have had the pleasure to read by Ms. Michaels and I could not put it down. Who knew that an innocent note to an injured Army snipper could change both of your lives. Ms. Michaels gives us two people, Nate and Zoe, who start texting after she sends him a note while he is overseas which turns into daily texts. These texts start off innocent but they turn hot and steamy fast. Their story is one that is full of love, friendship, emotions and steamy times when Nate is back on US soil. I loved the way that Ms. Michaels had the two of them develop a friendship and feelings before they met. Although both of them had their own reservations they did not stop the attraction that was evident right from the start. I highly recommend grabbing Nate and Zoe's story and get lost in their romance.
While Nate finishes out his deployment, he begins a texting relationship with a woman he's never met and instantly falls for her. Zoe falls hard and fast too, but worries it's too fast, having just broken up with someone she thought she was going to marry. Just when Nate and Zoe are about to meet in real life, he finds out about Zoe's ex and freaks out that he's possibly just a rebound for her. It takes some groveling, but what follows is a beautiful happily ever after.
Since most of their interactions take place through text, they truly get to know each other, so when they meet, it feels like they are already close. The development of the relationship is lovely and spicy. Nate's tendency to shut down stays true to form, but he quickly learns from his mistake. These two together are hot and I loved reading their text threads to each other. Another great read from Bella Michaels. Can't wait for the next one.
3.5 stars. Zoe and Nate, the lead characters, “meet” when Zoe includes a note in a care package for Nate, a sniper on deployment. They start their relationship via text message the week Zoe’s ex breaks up with her, though she never mentions it to Nate. When Nate returns stateside, he meets her ex on the plane home and is dismayed that she never mentioned him. Then her ex says he wants her back…
This story is dual POV, and an interesting contemporary romance story. I enjoyed the novelty of starting a relationship via text - reminiscent of the old pen pal style of romance. I admit I struggled with Nate’s uncertainty about everything, though this is probably appropriate, given his life stage. I enjoyed their intimate scenes. I enjoyed the secondary character integration and support. I appreciated the ending.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
This is another big win for me from Bella Michaels. This is fun, texting to sexting to love story that kept the pages turning until I was done.
Their story starts with a note Zoe sent Nate when he was injured. When he sent a text to thank her their friendship took off. Their friendship quickly turned smexy and they made plans to meet when he gets out of the Army. But on the day they are supposed to meet, miscommunication and omission of part of the story comes between them. As they work through communication problems, their relationship grows.
The author does a good job of working through Nate’s PTSD from his injury and his fears of what his future holds while Zoe is working through her insecurities and fears of being left again. This is book 2 in the Military on Main series but can be read as a stand-alone. Bring It On is the perfect book for a steamy, hot, summer weekend read!
Nate and Zoe's relationship is a whirlwind of emotions that unfolds with a magnetic pull that's impossible to resist. The author masterfully crafts their connection, creating a bond that's both intensely romantic and emotionally charged. Their chemistry practically sizzles off the pages, making their journey a rollercoaster ride of passion and vulnerability.
The small-town and military backdrop adds a unique layer to the story, giving it depth and authenticity. Michaels skillfully weaves in the challenges and sacrifices that come with military life, grounding the romance in a realistic and relatable setting.
What truly sets this book apart is the emotional resonance of Nate and Zoe's journey. Their individual struggles and pasts are portrayed with raw honesty, allowing readers to connect with their vulnerabilities on a profound level. As they navigate their own demons and find solace in each other, you can't help but root for their happiness.
This is book two of this interconnected series of standalones out of Kitchi Falls, NY otherwise known as The Military On Main Series. I have to say Bella Michaels has quickly become one of my very favorite Small Town Authors. Zoe and Nate's story is everything you want from a small town, friends to lovers romance. The relationship starts with a paper note sent in a care package for a man wounded during active duty. After being injured Nate decides not to reenlist. But is he ready for civilian life. Now that he's gotten to know Zoe over text and phone, he at least knows he's got some good friends. But he can't help that feeling that says he's not stable enough for Zoe. Practicing her new need for patience Zoe is biding her time waiting for the perfect moment to tell Nate how she feels Will they make it? I can't wait to see who's next. I have voluntarily left this review.
have chemistry...and a lot of it. The 2nd book in the Small town, Military Romance series. Nate and Zoe are text buddies while he's still in the military. They really get to know each other, and can't wait to meet when he's finally finished with his service. When they do meet their chemistry is fire. Unfortunately, there's a small issue with Nate being able to reintegrate into civilian life so he takes a leave of absence from Zoe and Kitchi Falls. At the same time, Zoe is dealing with her own feelings regarding attachment issues. Its a very confusing time for both of them.
I liked the way Bella brought these two people together. I enjoyed reading about their relationship and how they went about fixing their issues. I'm thrilled they got their HEA. ...can't wait for the next book!
This book is sweet and fun loving. Zoe is hardworking and overall has her life just how she wants it until her boyfriend of six months breaks up with her. She grew up a military brat so when she heard her best friends fiancé was putting a care package together for a friend who was in the military and got hurt she couldn’t help but write him an encouraging letter. Zoe never knew that sending that letter to Nate would change both of their lives. Nate is a decided not to reenlist in the military after he got injured. When he started talking to Zoe he knew he had to figure out a way to be with her. They have some expected ups and downs especially with Nate having to adjust to a new life outside the military. Their story is often smoking hot yet super sweet and funny at the same time.
Not the first book I've read that includes texting as a "get to know you" aspect of the relationship, however, it is the first book I've read that had the heroine sending a letter to the hero in a care package while he is deployed. It is a whole different type of meet cute. I liked it very much.
There's something to taking the face-to-face discomfort out of meeting that brings out the best in people and allows them be their authentic self in conversation. You'll find out that the conversations between Nate and Zoe are very authentic.
Unfortunately, their first in-person meeting doesn't go to plan and drama ensues. This is where I seriously wanted to toss my Kindle out the window. ERGH! As much as I was absolutely loving the story up to this point, Nate's reaction to Zoe's bit of omission really had me rolling my eyes. I felt it was over the top and a bit juvenile.
I really felt bad for Nate and his feelings of inadequacy. Feelings of being adrift after leaving the military is very real. He is suffering from PTSD but trying to keep it suppressed. This was very glossed over though, so it's not much of a TW to be worried about.
In the end, they get their happily ever after of course. It took a fair amount of time to get there, but they managed it. All in all, it's a really good read.

Anywho! Time to wrap this up with the goodies: Read: 4🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice: 3🌶🌶🌶
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Zoe is not the one that deals with heartbreak she's the upbeat friend who makes them laugh and lifts them up. When her ex breaks up with her, she can't understand why her heart hurts so badly. Her feelings got involved and look what happened. When her best friends take her wine tasting and plan a trip to cheer her up she will get more than she thought she would. A chance note to Nate while overseas will change his life. Zoe knows what military life is about and if she can make someone smile she will. These two start sort of a pen-pal thing going on, but it becomes so much more. Now that he's coming home can they have the relationship they both didn't realize they wanted? And what happens when nightmares become reality? I loved this story so much.
I absolutely loved Nate and Zoe's story. I have a soft spot for quiet, men of few words and Nate was exactly that. I loved how Zoe was able to draw him out through texts and it was so perfect because she was able to be understanding and patient. I honestly got butterflies when they both confessed that they liked each other. I also, really liked Zoe and her group of friends because they were so relatable! Zoe really struggled with "going with the flow" sometimes and not knowing the plan and I felt that SO MUCH! I loved watching Nate and Zoe's romance go from just texting to meeting each other in person. The anticipation was intense! 😆 I find this author's writing style really easy to follow.
Bring It On is truly a wonderful Military Romance, a story full of heart, it is hot, and it is full of swoon-worthy moments that warmed my soul, all with the unique twist of this couple falling in love over text when they become text-pals while Nate is serving and Zoe recently out of a six-month relationship, it takes a special author to be able to make this work and keep the reader entertained and Bella Michaels not only kept me entertained but she kept me in swoon heaven, the getting to know each other, the sexy texting, finally meeting and then the inevitable insecurities that come when you finally are face to face all leading to a perfect HEA.
Awesome must read page turner and the suspense was intriguing wonderful. I was at the edge of my seat and I could not put it down for a minutes. It was steamy and sizzling hot of romance. It was a love story of Nate and Zoe. It was emotional and dialogue of what their future might hold for them both. I love this book and their connected was so sweet and moving that it suck you right in the story. It was very good. The story was amazing and touching with a some twists and turns. I most highly recommend this book. I received an ARC of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a honest review. Trina Jones
Nate and Zoey were such a sweet couple and the chemistry was off the charts even in their texts. I don’t read a lot of military romance in general but I liked how real this situation was. A pen pal turns into so much more and then the challenges for the military member to come back into civilian life.
Their story touched on so many real and authentic issues that couples face after deployment and after a military career ends. So much of what they went through was so normal that I was kind of rooting for some big third act break up drama from the ex boyfriend but it never really came.
Small town military romance that starts out innocently enough and quickly escalates into scorching hot chemistry!
Zoe sends a note to a friend of a friend who is injured whilst serving overseas which quickly escalates into an intense long distance relationship with Nate. They have to navigate what life looks like when Nate comes home and they need to get to know each other all over again.
The chemistry between these two is off the charts and I loved watching them work through the reality of Nate coming home!
If you enjoy hot text exchanges I highly recommend! 🔥
I enjoyed this book and will go back and read the first in the series.
I could not warm up to Zoe & Nate. I could not buy into them growing so close so fast nor could I buy into the super quick “O’s.” The story line was weak while the steamy scenes made up the majority of the book as well as their relationship. I was able to finish the book, but it was disappointing. However, if you want a light (as in not much to it, NOT light topics, they are rather serious actually, - he’s reacclimatizing after a military career and hurt in combat. Plus, facing what to do with his life after service) story, heavy steam book, this is a good choice.
This was such a great book to read. What started as a simple text turned into a fully fledged relationship between Noah and Zoe. This book was very steamy and Zoe and Noah had it all happening. I loved their text sessions to each other and I enjoyed reading how their romance developed. This was a fast paced read and it had me captive from the very beginning. A great book with great characters what more can a girl ask for. I am enjoying this series by Bella Michaels so much and I am so excited to read more
I received an arc copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Well, Nate was not my favorite hero. He does redeem himself in the end but I really wanted to knee him a time or two. I really enjoyed the story for the most part. I understood the timing was not something Zoe wanted to reveal to Nate but he was a bit of a douche over it when he did find out. The beautiful part of Bella's writing is how she brings past characters into her stories. She made us fall in love with all their tales and honors us but giving us glimpses of more. I've pre-ordered the next story. I hope its Natalie's story. But this was a story to enjoy!!
