Twenty years ago, Stina Niellsen quietly enlisted in the Army. In doing so, she changed the trajectory of her life by running away from her first, and arguably only, love. Things haven’t been all bad—she enjoys her job, time with friends, and the random hobby here and there. Feelings? No, thank you very much. She’s always avoided entanglements.
At least until she has to go back home to settle an estate. There, she runs right back into her past and all the feelings she’d buried.
Shane Wallace has done well in life. He travels the world and loves the career he’s made for himself. On a whim, he stopped in his hometown while on a trip, and happens upon the one person he’s never gotten over. Stina. He never knew why she left without an explanation, and after this long, he doesn’t much care.
After reading all the other Soldier’s Heart books, this one is the spicy end cap the end of the series. Stina and Shane’s chemistry keep things interesting, so it’s worth a read if you want that perfect happily ever after for the crew, all wrapped up in a neat little bow.
