The history of revenge planning laid the way to understand the dynamics of both Jade and Noah. I did feel like the relationship between the two was extremely rushed. Noah claims to be a control freak and doesn’t let anyone in. Other than the rushed relationship it was a good read.

A chance at revenge leading to unexpected desires

This is another fantastic romance by Ivy Snow, with steamy chemistry between the main characters, misunderstandings, fake marriage, betrayal, twists and a sweet HEA.

Having been rejected before she could even sing for him, Jade wants to get revenge on the CEO who stopped her singing career from even starting. But after she gets a job as his PA she's approached by a rival with an offer to help her singing career, if she'll help him first.

Noah finds working with Jade easy and they get on well but after a business trip away, where they have to share a room and find themselves getting closer than they'd expected, he can't stop thinking about her. He realises she has secrets and knowing he should keep his enemies close he suggests a fake engagement (to help them both; his reputation which is being affected with Ex's revealing all, and her career).

But as they spend more time together they find it hard to stay away from each other and what was fake soon becomes something far more real than either had expected. But how will Noah react when Jade's secrets come to light.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. I liked the premise of the plot and was expecting some tension and intrigue since it's a revenge and enemies to lovers plot. But it felt like before the tension and intrigue could build, Jade was already giving into the (sudden unexpected) attraction she had towards Noah. And because of that, I started to lose respect for her as a character, as it just felt devious and manipulative. Not to mention, what she did should be considered corporate espionage and I just found it odd that she doesn't consider or fear the possibility of criminal charges, and instead her focus is just on the chance to have a music career, very odd behaviour. On the whole, the story had some interesting parts but also dragged and felt repetitive in some parts and I thought Noah's past was revealed in a very abrupt manner and the way Hayden's thoughts/feelings came across regarding the past was also very awkwardly put forth, it's like he was there but not there. However the chemistry between Noah and Jade is definitely sizzling and their HEA is really touching and sweet.

An endearing enemies to lovers romance. Both Noah and Jade have their secrets and when she returns to meet with her nemesis, she is prepared to do anything to get the smug smirk off of his face.
Once she gets within his inner circle she finds it easy to start to get her revenge, using his enemy to help bring him down, but at what cost!
Noah soon realizes Jade has secrets and is determined to find out what they are.
This sets the tone for this story as they find themselves in a fake relationship/engagement, which soon turns into something real for the both of them.
A story where the MMC falls first. Noah becoming obsessed with Jade.
Jade finding it increasingly harder to remember why she wanted to destroy Noah and his company.
There are plenty of hot steamy scenes as Noah stakes his claim over Jade. But secrets have a way of coming out and when Noah finds out Jade's secret, their illusion of a HEA comes crashing down.
Loved the drama and angst that keeps you invested in the love affair between Jade and Noah....until it ends.
How do they come back from the betrayal of Jade towards Noah?
A great read with unexpected twists and turns that has you invested till the end

Jade wants revenge against Noah who, she believes ruined her dreams of becoming a professional singer. Noah owns a recording company and callously dismissed her when she tried to audition. Then rumors started and no one in the business would let her audition. For the past year, all she fantasized about was destroying him and his company. She starts working for Noah and finds that he is different, and they become attracted to one another.

Life becomes complicated when she is convinced to work with a competitor to bring him down by stealing secret documents that could destroy his business. Eventually Noah finds out and their relationship takes a turn. There are some fascinating changes for both individually and as a couple. Ivy Snow crafted a wonderful story of two souls who have been through so much and who eventually find their way to one another. Loved the tension, surprise twists, passion, emotion, personal vulnerabilities, intrigue, betrayal, and the drama that detonates everything when secrets are revealed.
Fantastic read that was a heart tugger all the way with one well deserved HEA.

I loved this book omg!!
From the very beginning you get the drama and I was already Team Jade! Then we get some spice and the situation turns complicated but getting both POVs helps with seeing how the situation might unravel.

Seeing how Noah is described at this horrible mean boss then we see the 180 when it comes to him starting to like jade omg it was unbelievable. Seeing them fall in love but trying to see if jade’s revenge would work had my heart hurting. I was at the edge of my seat just waiting to see how their “fake” engagement would end and if she would go through with her revenge plan.

The ending was amazing and seeing how everything unfolded had me crying then jumping up and down. I could not put this book down!!

Recommending this book to all of my book club girls!.

Revenge sits at the top of the To Do List.
A career and broken dreams are pulverized with one sentence.
Years later, a special project brings the two main characters together in a working relationship and an undeniable attraction hits hard for both.
Complications arise when this was supposed to be about revenge and destroy, not the complete opposite.
"Electric" is their connection.
A proposal, could anything become worse?
Revenge has become a trap because the heart is now tied in one giant knot.
The author pulls out all the emotions that rock this couple. We all love an HEA, although the road leading isn't always smooth.
Such a warm, soul searching read and one where we find Love at the heart of it.

I like this book. I really enjoyed it.
The passion can be feel like a little rush, but for me.. not. I understand how sometimes chemistry ingnite fireworks between two people.
Jade was set for vengeance after what he did to her. And he doesn't remember her, so he doesn't have a clue what she is up to.
He has always been in control of his emotions, and since Jade shows up, he can't stop thinking of her.
Love the trama, and all evolution 👌 was perfect.
I must say that I encountered some repeating paragraphs and lines in my archive provided by BookSirens. That hopefully by this time is already fixed. Far from that, I highly recommend this book.

Jade desperately wants to get back at Noah for ruing her chance of ever making it in the music industry. Noah just wants to make her his .

The chemistry between both Jade and Noah is beautifully written. And Vanessa being the voice of reason? Love it.

However, I was desperately wishing for more of a backstory between the two main characters. It illudes to why Jade is there, but it wasn't very clear at the beginning. There also was no push/pull or build up of the characters romance - it was just THERE.

Overall, I would recommend for anyone interested in these tropes : billionaire, CEO, boss, fake dating/engagement, and surprise pregnancy.

These likeable characters and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. Their sizzling chemistry and strong connection are undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. It is a love story with enough drama, steam, sweetness, frustrating moments, twists and turns, and engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested.An emotional ride.

Oh how I love Ivy Snow’s writing . I know I’m going to read something inviting ,enticing and rich . Enemies ? Huh he’s no idea …. He shattered her singing career with a snap of those fingers , he’s going to pay…but first they play it seems as they have one night in bed enough said and now they’re fake lovers instead..,.huh? Well there’s twists ,turns and a few yearns as they can’t seem to get enough of the steam and the burns , it’s a real dream….until he discovers why she’s there. Then it’s a blast of air supreme and she’s in the lion’s lair. Is she getting her share or out on her ear? Great writing , characters too. Ivy Snow ,love everything you do. Yeah I know I said already but read and you’ll see why she’s the author for me.

This was absolutely amazing story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was incredible intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even imagine how I was going to put it down. The chemistry between them was seriously outstanding and the sparks between them had ignited in a beautiful atmosphere of romance. They couldn’t fight the temptation anymore so they gave into their feelings and passion.

I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed.

This was such a charming novel, I liked both the MMC and the FMC. To guard yourself so you don’t get hurt, smart! But we always tend to let one through, and it a gamble. The FMC was good at playing double agent, but never let your grudges get the better of you. This book was great and taught me that sometimes you have to take a risk and let go of the things that make you angry. You never know what’s waiting for you, opportunity only knocks once. I would definitely recommend this book.

at first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about this book, but as the plot unraveled, and I saw the complexity of the characters, I came to really like this book and really feel that there were a lot of great messages for everyone to learn from. Revenge is never a good motive, and it almost always leads to a persons downfall, but somehow these characters manage to salvage their feelings, I really enjoyed reading about them and I know others will enjoy the book also

Very good book. I loved the characters and how they were able to overcome everything to be together. Some of the timeline was a little confusing - it said her audition was a year ago but then she said she had years to try to get over all the rumors that were spread after the audition? How was she able to get her job and be so involved so soon? I enjoyed the ending - happily ever after!.

Emotionally Powerful

When Jade is out for revenge, she vows to take down the man responsible. Noah suspects a plot to ruin his business, but keeping her close by is more dangerous than they both expected. However, all is not what it seems which really added to this powerful emotional plot. I had a hard time liking Jade due to her decisions, but the end was a great moment.

Noah is the owner and he's also been through the ringer with his own drama. He loves her attitude and snarkyness and she's letting him have it. But she's not giving it as much fire as she was before. I am on chapter four and can’t decide whether I need to rush through it to find out what happens, or whether to go slowly and savour the book. I’m torn. I want to know what happens but at the same time I don’t want this book to be over. I love a modern sassy heroine and a grumpy hero. Will Jade betray him? Will Noah remember what he did? I need to get back to it and find out.
