This story was absolutely beautiful to read and so heart felt. This book is about to characters who both have hard and upsetting backgrounds learning how to be better for themselves but also falling in love on the way 😍
Skylar is a beautiful girl who’s struggling with her relationship with her parents and wants to move away for a fresh start and grow on her own. However the day she packs up and leaves, she has a very unexpected run in with our mmc Miles.
Miles is moody, and grouchy but when he lets his soft side show oh how he is so kind and caring. He aswell is struggling with how to cope after grief and watching his character develop through the book was truly amazing.
This book really does show the true side of the good, the bad and the ugly for relationships with those who are struggling and the highs and lows of Skylar and miles relationship growing from strangers, to not so enemies (but definitely trying to hide their feelings for one another) to lovers.
All I will say is make sure you have the tissues on hand because I was completely and utterly taken by surprise by the unexpected turn in events 🥲
But the book still has a beautiful ending and I loved watching all the characters in this book grow ❤️

It was a good story line. Writing is a bit choppy and I could never tell where the one thought ended and a new one started. But over all it was okay(no pun intended)
This book had me in my feels the way Miles and Skylar connected with each other was beautifully done. I genuinely felt connected to both characters with their struggles was something that hit home. All in all amazing book!
Where do I even start? I read this book in one sitting. ONE SITTING. I’ve been waiting for this book to come out so when it did, I threw aside all the other books I was reading to read this one. This book made me go through so many emotions. I went from sitting in my gaming chair, to the couch, to the floor, to my kitchen table. I paced back and forth, cursing and gasping at the characters. The ending? God, the ending.
Should definitely give this read but be warned. There are trigger warnings considering you will be reading the challenges of the character’s relationships.
I tried really hard to like this… but it definitely was a flop. It felt soooo rushed and unlikely. I’m all for love at first sight but this just didn’t make any sense. It felt like pieces were missing in each chapter. Jumping from one thing to the next with no explanation.
Soooo…. I dnf’d the book. I just couldn’t continue. Normally I overlook grammatical mistakes and errors but oh.. honey…. They were almost every other page! I follow the author on tiktok and they are, from what I’ve seen, a very respectful and overall, a nice human being. So this is absolutely no hate to the author in ANY way. Props for you honey for writing a novel and pursuing what you want to do in life! 🫶
CHARACTERS: I liked the mmc, Miles, even though I only read about 100 pages. Skylar though? Not so much. I don’t really understand why she got mad at Miles all the time and honestly, I don’t think that they would make a very good couple if i had read more. From what I’ve read, it seemed like a pretty toxic relationship in my opinion.
The fact that Skylar got mad at miles when he didn’t take her apology when she was the one who almost ran HIM OVER?? Like what? What do you meannn??
Another thing I don’t understand is how Skylar comes from an abusive family, obviously has trust issues but the first second she gets, she explains her entire situation to miles without hesitation. She didn’t even know the guy for more than 24 hours!
I also think it’s crazy how Skylar gets pissed off at Miles when he let her stay in HIS apartment, drives her around, and got her a job! He’s being the sweetest guy for not knowing her at all.
WRITING: As I said before, so many typos!! I thought it was fine the first couple times like, “oh it’s okay! The author might’ve messed up but I look past it and continue.” That was before I realized that it was almost every page..
Second thing, the pacing!! It felt like it was always on 2x speed for me, I got confused so many times. I think there should’ve been a better job at balancing between slow and fast pacing. I had no idea if it was the third day of Skylar living there or second month.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Anyone want to spoil it for me and tell me what happens in the comments because I know I won’t continue to read this novel. Overall, with everything I said combined, it wasn’t a very enjoyable read for me. If it was for you, that’s great! I really do hope that you enjoy this book. Have a good day y’all!

The grammatical errors, punctuation errors, and structural errors made it hard to follow at some points. The book/story overall is decent, but it lacks alot of character development, depth, and details. It was a quick & easy read for sure and it kept my attention very well!!! I will be reading more from the author before I make a decision on her as a whole, but with this specific book, its a flop.
This was an overall an okay book. There is problems with how it was structured because one day blends with the next and thoughts can get confusing, I think there are some places where it can be spaced out to identify when a thought ends. But the actual story was good! You can get frustrated at the characters because of how toxic things can be. But I enjoyed it.
Honestly why is this is actually a sad unexpected book. I did not expect the ending whatsoever. Its such a fast paced book yet and an easy read, and yea its written okay and I wish there would have been better writing, but still broke me ngl.😭 Rate it 4 because it was my first romance book after reading thriller and I dont regret reading it tbh.
I dnf this at about 64%. Not a fan of the writing, everything just happened way too fast for it to be relatable. And there was hardly any plot. Both Sky and Miles were toxic af. They’d go from fighting and being extremely pissed at each other saying nasty things and then be completely fine
The writing in this book was absolutely atrocious. Grammatical, punctuation, and sentence structure errors throughout. However, I pushed through... I have cried so hard, and I feel robbed... did not expect that ended at all. I am devastated.
This book was absolutely incredible it needs to be talked about more, this book broke me, made me happy, mad, all the emotions while being entertained at the same time it was sooo easy to get through and it was awesome (got me out of my book slump)
This had the potential to be a 4 or 5 star read. The heartbeat is there but it was really rushed and would have liked to seen more depth to the characters and their stories.
Okay, hear me out.. writing a bit choppy for my taste but the story line was good. This book shows the good, the bad, and the real freaking ugly side of relationships. You know the side that no one really wants to talk about? Yeeeah that side. If we’re being honest, they were toxic af st first but I’m glad they pushed through to end the cycle and get better. Sad that they didn’t get their happily ever after. The ending hurt me. 😩

It was just okay, no pun intended. The writing was so choppy. Didn’t know when a thought ended and another started. I didn’t expect the ending. It was definitely sad.
