Twig, her dad, and her brother Billy, have come to Cyprus to live in Aunt Sophia's strange, primitive village house on a sun-scorched hillside. Far from her friends in England, with no phone signal, and no one to talk to except Billy, who is more interested in contact sports than human contact, how is she going to survive the isolation and boredom until she is sent off to boarding school in September? When she meets Leo, whose uncle is the headman of the village, everything changes in ways she could never have imagined.
Born in Yorkshire, I went to Manchester University, and then worked in Cheshire until I left the UK to live in Cyprus. After a career in education, I took early retirement to focus on writing. I've now published 3 novels and a collection of short stories, but I've got a few other manuscripts in various stages of readiness. My next book, A Managed Retreat, should be out soon.
