UNCHAINED: Siddhartha's Journey

Rate this book
Siddhartha’s journey started in Book 1, narrating the struggle of millions of women subjugated by India's archaic traditions and one woman's fight for her children's happiness. The journey continued through Book II, describing the battle of oppressed men for their freedom against Indian taboos and traditions. Book III now concludes Siddhartha’s journey by explaining the plight of millions of unfortunate women born on the cusp of the oppressive old era and India's evolving free modern age.

India, with its archaic tradition, is a graveyard of the hopes of many women. It is the story of a young woman who struggles through the antiquated patriarchal traditions of Indian society and makes sacrifices for a bigger cause—for her daughters, the next generation of women, to have liberated lives.

She didn’t know that what she chose as the road to salvation was the road to martyrdom. She believed in future … beyond her own. She believed in building the future of her daughters.

This is the story of Abha, Siddhartha’s sister, and her journey to realise the truth. It is the story of her fight and how she could give meaning to her life even in her death … in the hope that the truth of her silent fight against subjugation will one day awaken the conscience of her tormentor, allowing her two daughters to have freedom of choice.
