Trusting the Amish Farmer is the second of the Hickory Springs Amish series. Anna wants to sell her farm since it is painful to hold on to the place where her husband died. She wants to have nothin to do with it or a farm life. She and her young son Matthew live with a friend. Jeremiah wants to farm and works out a deal with Anna where he rents for a year to see if he can make it farming. The relationship between Jeremiah and Matthew is precious and soon Anna is drawn to Jeremiah's selfless, kind, and humble personality. This story is sweet, heartwarming, and inspirational as so typical of Laurel Blount's great storytelling.

I loved reading Trusting the Amish Farmer. The story plot completely drew me into the book and kept my interest peaked until the books ending. I thought it was a warm hearted romance between an Amish widow and an Amish bachelor. The romance took its time to bloom because both the main characters had hangups from their past. Anna Speicher swore she’d never marry another farmer again. Jeremiah Weaver kept a secret from others and he was very self conscious about it.He felt that he would never be good enough to marry anyone. The past had proved his fears were true when his fiance broke up their engagement two days before their wedding date.
Anna meets Jeremiah when he comes to look at her farm she wants to sell. This is an uplifting book with well rounded characters. It takes place in Hickory Springs Tennessee and a neighboring town called Owl Hollow.
I strongly recommend it to readers of Amish Fiction and Amish Romance and to readers of Love Inspired books. Though this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone book. This book is scheduled for release on 7/29/25. Preorders are available now at your favorite book retailer.
I read a complimentary early copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions expressed here in this review are solely my own.

I suppose the fact that it arrived in the mail today and I read the entire thing in one sitting says it all, right? I definitely enjoyed it! How could I not?

This heartwarming story follows Anna, a widow finally ready to sell her farm and move on, until she meets the potential buyer, Jeremiah. Due to a misunderstanding with the purchase, Anna decides to rent the property to him instead, in exchange for him doing the repairs. It sounds simple enough, but soon their days become intertwined, and feelings begin to surface.

Still, Anna has always sworn she’d never marry again. After generations of men in her family have died during harvest season, she’s vowed never to love a farmer. So, friendship it is… and maybe that’s all it will ever be. With the town whispering about Jeremiah and his own insecurities holding him back, it seems like happiness is just out of reach... unless they’re both willing to take a chance?!

I absolutely loved this sweet story. Jeremiah has the kindest heart, and little Matthew and Sunny added so sweetness to the story. I also loved seeing matchmaker Susie, working her magic once again! This is forced proximity at its finest, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I gave it 4.5 stars, rounded to 5.

This is one of my go-to authors. I really find her books enjoyable. Jeremiah Weaver has an issue that he initially does not want Anna Speicher to know about when he goes to offer to rent her farm. I felt so bad for him when it came to this issue because you could tell that he was embarrassed by it. I thought that this story had such compassion written into it. I loved reading the journey of the relationship between Anna and Jeremiah. It was such a sweet enduring story. I definitely recommend this novel.

Amish widow Anna Speicher vows to never have anything to do with farming again after her husband Henry was killed while working on the farm. Instead, she decides to rent out her farm to Jeremiah Weaver, an enterprising man who is one of the most kind-hearted souls anyone could ever hope to meet. Anna wants to make a new life for herself and her young son, but farming and a second marriage are not part of her dream. Rather, she wants to open s store and sell Amish goods. Jeremiah is an extremely hard worker who is observant and tries to help Anna fulfill her dream. The spark of romance between the two is not surprising, but is is certainly entertaining as it meanders all over the place before the two realize what is happening to them. With a cute pup names Sunny and a darling little boy who is charming and obedient, this book captured my heart and my imagination. The plot is just the right pace for a budding romance, and I was captivated by the characters and the drama of their lives that led them towards each other. This is a delightful and warmhearted romance with appealing characters and a skillfully woven plot that pulled me right in from the beginning.

Just finished Trusting the Amish Farmer by Laurel Blount. Her books are awesome they keep you interested all the way through. Trusting the Amish Farmer was a great story of two people that needed each other and found true love in the end. Anna lost her husband to farming accident and didn't want to remarry again. She was afraid of loving and loosing again. Then Jeremiah showed up and wants to rent her farm. God has other plans for us sometimes that turn us upside down and changes our lives and relationships with others. Anna world changes for the better when God puts Jeremiah in her life. This story kept me inspired and didn't want to put down. I read it in 2 days time. Love all her books please read her books. They will bless your life and look for God's message and blessing you will receive by reading them.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I was given.

I loved the main characters. Each was adamant that they were not interested in another romance. They just wanted to work at the occupation they felt God has set on their hearts.

They got to know each other's character by spending time together and somewhere along the way, they fell in love.

Such a heartwarming story written by Laurel Blount. She is a talented author and I always get excited when I hear she has another book coming out. I enjoyed the characters, Anna and Jeremiah and how they slowly realized how trusting they needed to be with each other. Will their time spent together lead to something more than friendship? Will faith be enough to help them trust each other and realize God has different plans for them than what thought? I highly recommend this book.

This was a sweet story. I really felt for Jeremiah and his struggles. He may be my favorite Amish character ever. The story was so good, I really enjoyed Anna & Jeremiah getting to know each other and overcoming their struggles to find their happily ever after. Also, Anna’s son is a real scene stealer!
I’m already anticipating book 3!

In my opinion this is Laurel's best book yet. I adored reading about Anna and Jeremy's story. I found it hard to put down until I was able to finish it. Despite Anna's determination not to get involved with another farmer after her husband's death it becomes obvious God has other plans for her and for Jeremy. I definitely give this book five stars and recommend it to anyone who loves Inpsirational Amish fiction and Laurel Blount's books.

Award-winning Author Laurel Blount writes ‘hold your interest’ stories. Trusting the Amish Farmer highlights a larger-than-life Amish farmer, Jeremiah Weaver, with a kind and gentle spirit. Jeremiah is willing to help recently widowed Anna Speicher and her young son Matthew by doing the repairs on her run-down farm to live rent-free for a year. Anna wants nothing to do with the farm and wants to sell the farm; Jeremiah needs to save to buy it. Both have obstacles from their pasts to overcome. Is their faith strong enough? A quick and fun read!

TRUSTING THE AMISH FARMER by Laurel Blount is the second book in the Hickory Springs Amish series and to me, it seems like each book gets better and better. I have loved this series so much and was so excited to get to this one. It did not disappoint! Laurel gives her readers a wonderful story of letting go of the past and leaning into the people who are standing by, waiting to help even if when you don’t realize they’ve been there all the time.

TRUSTING THE AMISH FARMER finds Anna, now a widow and single mom, wanting to sell the family farm. She has no desire to be a farmer and only wants to open her general store and sell Amish items. She does not want to hold on to the farm as it holds many painful memories. She thinks Jeremiah Weaver wants to buy her farm, but the reality is that he only wants to rent it for a year to see if he could be a successful farmer. Its something he has always wanted to do, but he has never actually farmed anything. Anna and Jeremiah come to an agreement and try to make the best of a strange situation. Neither one of them is looking for love, but you know how that goes.

Jeremiah doesn’t think he is worthy of a woman like Anna, but over time he knows he wants to be a dad and have a family. Susie, the woman who Anna rents a room from, is quite the matchmaker and she just can’t help herself from getting involved with Anna and Jeremiah. My emotions were all over the place and I was even reaching for the tissues quite a few times. TRUSTING THE AMISH FARMER is not like most Amish stories. It is more like watching the evening news, and then having your heart break for everything this family is going through. I am excited to read whatever Laurel Blount writes next!

Anna's husband has died and she is left with her two year old son and a farm. The farm only holds sad memories for her and she wants to sell it. Along comes Jeremiah who is interested in the farm but only to rent not buy. Anna is stubborn and when she makes up her mind there is no changing it, or is there? Although vowing to never marry again, will she open her heart to Jeremiah? A lovely story of loss, compromise and love written with compassion and warmth from the heart.

Trusting the Amish Farmer by Laurel Blount is a Love Inspired Inspirational Romance. This is book two of the Hickory Springs Amish series. While this book is part of a series, it can definitely be read as a stand alone novel. I suspect that once you finish this book, if you haven't already read book one in the series (The Amish Widower's Surprise) that you will want to read that book as well. Trusting the Amish Farmer is a heartwarming story about two souls wounded by past losses who find love and the fulfillment of their dreams by working together. Laurel Blount creates wonderful characters that are realistic and that you enjoy spending time with. Widow Anna Speicher has made up her mind not to remarry and to raise her young son alone. She dreams of opening an Amish store. Jeremiah Weaver is convinced that no Amish woman would choose him as a husband and dreams of having his own farm. Both Anna and Jeremiah are characters that you will root for. The secondary characters are also very appealing, especially Anna's young son Matthew and Jeremiah's rescued pup, Sunny. I liked getting to know Susie Raber, resident baker and matchmaker, better too. I have read the author's other books and enjoyed them all.

Give Trusting the Amish Farmer a try. Get your copy when the book releases on July 29 or pre-order now.

I think that this book has some magnificent characters that worked well together to make it an entertaining story from start to finish. It is full of inspiration with the talks of having faith, their trust in God, and with each other. This book has its share of surprises with the talk of matchmaking skills which don't seem to be needed with the main characters Anna and Jeremiah. It's a book about grief, empathy, and forgiveness. As always, I enjoyed reading this sweet and romantic book by Laurel Blount!

Anna wanted to sell their farm house after the death of her husband. She didn’t want her son to be a farmer like his dad . Anna wanted to buy a store and leave it for her son away from any farming ( that’s what killed her husband). Jeremiah wanted to buy the farm to try his hand in farming but he just wasn’t sure about it so he offered to rent it and fix it up for one year . There was a building on the land my the street Jeremiah offered that for Anna’s store. A terrible storm came through and that’s when feelings came out !!!

I always love to find good Amish books that are easy to read and have a good storyline. Laurel does a great job with laying the foundation for these characters that makes it so easy to follow. It only took me a few hours to read this book because I was excited to see Jeremiah and Anna’s story play out. Great romance and loved seeing the interactions between Matthew and “Big Jermiah”. Can’t wait to read more of Laurel’s books!

I always enjoy Laurel Blount's writing and Trusting the Amish Farmer was no exception. Anna's had her fill of farms and farmers. All Jeremiah has ever wanted is a farm. Throw in a little dog, and a hopelessly cute little boy, and readers are in for a delightful ride. The author's writing is a treat.

TRUSTING THE AMISH FARMER by Laurel Blount is the exceptional romantic story of Anna Speicher and Jeremiah Weaver as they enter into a business transaction. They never dreamed that it might be an answer to both of their prayers, lead to a great friendship, and maybe……more.

Jeremiah’s life hasn’t been an easy one. He started to work at a young age for Samuel Esh. Through the years, it became like a father and son relationship. With encouragement from Samuel, he’d asked his youngest daughter to marry him. It wasn’t until shortly before the wedding that he found out she’d said yes to please her daed, didn’t want to marry him and had feelings for another. Jeremiah ended up taking the blame for the break up. Jeremiah, a big man, is use to be talked about, but the backlash from the broken engagement and his reading ability had him moving away from Owl Hollow. His dream, one he's saved up for, is to have his own farm. Hearing about Anna’s farm for sale and then seeing it, he knew it was exactly what he wanted. Since he’d never actually farmed, he’s wanting to rent it for a year to see if he can make a go of it before he takes the buying plunge. Can he convince her that his physical labor and his financing to fix the place up is enough to give merit to his offer?

Anna is a young widow with a 2-year-old son to raise. Henry died 3-years-ago in a farming accident on their 100-acre farm never knowing about his son. Unwilling to live on the farm, she rents a place over Smucker’s Bakery from Susie Raber. Never wanting her son to be a farmer, her dream is to sell the farm and with the funds to open a little store. She could be her own boss and have a business to hand down to her son. What was she doing agreeing to put her plans on hold for a year?

Will a suggestion to open a store ahead of time in a building on her property mean Anna doesn’t have to wait to put her plans in action? Will the weather have drastic effects on Jeremiah’s crops? Will Anna find out about Jeremiah’s reading difficulties? Can she possible help him as much as he’s helped her? Can Anna see herself allowing friendship to bloom into something else - with a farmer? Who buys Anna’s farm?

TRUSTING THE AMISH FARMER is an amazing book you won’t be able to put down. Laurel Blount gives us a story of mourning-both life and loss, friendship and romance all wrapped in a wonderful thread of faith. TRUSTING THE AMISH FARMER is positively FIVE-STAR reading at its best! While the second book in the Hickory Springs Amish series, it can most definitely be read as a standalone book.

I receive an ARC of this book with no requirement or expectations of a review. All opinions are completely my own.
