A Very Daddy Christmas is a lighthearted holiday romance centered around Cora, a hardworking baker facing a crisis when her landlord decides to sell the property her bakery occupies. Enter Riggs, Waylon, and Sebastian, three men who swoop in to provide financial support and hands-on help to save her beloved bakery. Through a series of festive twists and turns, the story delivers a happily ever after that feels cozy and charming in theory.

While the premise of the book is undeniably sweet, there are significant drawbacks. The characters—Cora, Riggs, Waylon, and Sebastian—are underdeveloped, leaving their chemistry and the dynamics of their relationship feeling superficial. Their individual personalities blur together, and the emotional depth needed to root for their romance is missing.

Additionally, the pacing is incredibly fast, which results in underexplored plot points and unanswered questions. Moments that should feel pivotal to the story often come across as rushed, and the resolution to major conflicts lacks impact.

Despite its flaws, the book does have its merits. The holiday atmosphere is delightful, and the overarching message of community, love, and perseverance is uplifting. Readers looking for a quick, feel-good Christmas romance might still enjoy this story, but those craving richer character development and a more intricate plot may find it lacking.

Final Verdict: A sweet concept with plenty of holiday cheer but ultimately underwhelming in execution. A Very Daddy Christmas is a decent choice for a light seasonal read but doesn’t stand out in the crowded world of holiday romances.

Another great read

Something Kai Lesy always manages to do is make easily identifiable and likeable characters. You’d think that within an RH romance the characters are difficult to understand and appreciate as individuals, but Kai always manages to bring personalities through in each of her wonderfully delectable men.

The other aspect of Kai’s books that I like is that there is a well thought out and compelling story behind all the steamy scenes and romance. It makes everything much more interesting and appealing to the reader. There’s always a deep undercurrent that brings some kind of mild peril to keep it alive.

As for these characters and story… I loved them and I loved it. What more can I say?

Sebastian, Waylan and Riggs are hot, hot, hot!!! And the way they care for Cora is sweet and beautiful… even if no one else in the city of Madison seems to think so. When the web of underhanded deeds and misplaced trust begins to thicken and threaten to rip everyone apart Cora finds not only her livelihood in jeopardy but also her life.

Really enjoyed this story just as I have enjoyed all the other books I have read by this author. If I would change anything, it be the titles. It doesn’t always give the impression of a very well written and thought out story… which it definitely is. Keep up the great work Kai.

Cora (book 1 of 2 I read with that name in a row) is on the verge of loosing the bakery she and her sister own. I mean of course its a bakery, its always a bakery!

She meets the guys -Sebastian, Waylan and Riggs - at a market thing where she is selling bakery goods and trying to get more business. They ask this woman who they have never met to watch their kid while they go to an important meeting. She says yes and she adores the kid immediately and when the guys come back they ask if she could become the kids nanny cos of course baker, nanny, same thing right.

She needs the money so says yes and her landlord is kicking them out of the building and the guys agree to help. She has sex with 2 of them the first day she is there.

The guy trying to kick them out runs a smear campaign against them and sends goons to wreck the shop. They guys show up and rescue her and help her buy new counters and stuff. Her sisters husband is fired and told he will never work round there again so the guys just give him a job. Everything seems to be sorted pretty easy. They also find a loop hole in the contract and are winning the fight.

But then the landlord shares intimate pictures of her with the 3 guys that were taken at a resort that supposedly has the best security in the world!! Ok then! Anyway the next day customers and people who they considered friends are wrecking there shop and standing outside with banners calling her whore and telling them to leave town. Her sister is pissed and honestly I don't blame her. She had plenty of time to tell her sister.

The she gets kidnapped cos now for some reason the mafia are involved. Ok then!! The Sheriff who has done nothing to help them at this point deputizes the guys so they can go find her. I don't know how that works or if its a real thing. Sounds far fetched!

Anyway it all works out. Turns out the landlord was into some shady shit and he is arrested with the mafia guy and they get to keep their bakery. Everyone from town apologises and there like 'yeah no worries its cool' I would have banned every single one of them and told them never to step foot in my store again

The pacing of this book was a bit all over. She had slept with all 3 by 18% but then dumps them and 35% but then finds out she is preggers and wants them back at 40% Also she doesn't tell them about the baby which pisses me off in books so much. Her sister tells them when she is kidnapped. There is a random bear attack and a random snowmobile chase then attack. Its just a little all over the place.

I did like the end when the landlord finally got caught and I liked all the Christmassy stuff but it was very different from RH I have read before. I have never read a RH where they hide that they are in one. Normally its all out for everyone to see.

There were some mistakes too. The kids age changed like 3 times. Because of the pacing and the lean into the bakery side of the story I just don't feel we got enough time with the guys which left them underdeveloped

When Cora comes to Seb, Waylan's and Rigg's aid at christmas fair, they don't forget her kindness or the attraction they all feel for her.

Cora and her sister run a bakery and when she is informed by the landlord they have to vacate the premises by New Year's eve, they are not happy. But Eva notices a clause in the contract that could stop the landlord from removing them.

The men need help with Dario the foster boy they have taken in when he lost his parents. Cora's kindness to them and Dario, has them asking her to be a part-time Nanny, one which will pay very well and they will also help with the purchase of the leasehold building from the landlord.

But St. James the landlord doesn't fight fair an he is going to evict the women any way he can.

Cora is dealing with her growing attraction and feelings between herself and the 3 men. The stress the landlord is putting them under, the pressure on the business, is starting to take it's toll. Is the relationship with the men worth it or is best to go back to being friends until they have complete thee purchase?.

I enjoyed reading this book. Our FMC is a baker turned nanny for 3 strangers she meets at a weekend event ( Lets suspend reality that one would ever leave their 4 year old with some random person they met at a weekend street fair event for even 2 minutes, let alone to go have a business meeting.. ANYWAY)
She has instalust with these three guys she meets at a street fair and agrees to become their nanny in exchange for a LARGE sum of money to save her family bakery.
Sparks fly and shes in bed with them within a day of starting. There is some nasty business with the town and community. It does get pretty ugly and the community they grew up in treat them horribly!
It does end in a HEA and personally I cant see forgiving the community for the way she was treated but Im not the FMC.

The book is enjoyable just have to suspend reality in the start a bit. Otherwise its a good book and the drama at the end was well done.
The spice is good in this book.

This is an emotional rollercoaster ride when the single sister of the two sisters that run a bakery in their small town.While at the festival Cora see three gorgeous muscle bound men an a little boy getting ready to have a meltdown she knows tired when she sees it after helping with her nieces the men are trying to calm the boy down saying they will go see Santa after they get through with their meeting he keeps getting louder and she know in minutes a total meltdown so she goes over an says he's tired the little boy says I'm not tired I want to see santa.She says ill take care of him until you finish y ok ur meeting then she gets down level with the boy an says do you like cookies he says yes I like cookies she says how about we go over there to my booth an gets some cookies and when your daddy comes back you can go see Santa he jumps up an down an says yes.So the men head out to their meeting an she takes Dareo to get some cookies when the men come back they are smiling an she says the meeting must have gone well an they say thanks to you .The little boy is asleep in a chair covered by her jacket he wakes up an says can we go see Santa now an they say yes. But they look at her an say we will be back an well help you get home. Little does Cora know her life is about to change.After they leave her creepy landlord shows up an says you and your sister have til Dec 31to leave the store I have a loop hole in the contract that the old owner wrote into the contract. When the men come back they notice something is wrong they ask her but she doesn't say anything. When she gets to the bakery she has to tell her sister who gets beyond mad she says ill look over the contract an well take it from there .When the men come in the next day they see the sisters are upset Ava goes back to get busy when they ask Cora what's wrong an say they have an offer.She tells them about the landlord an that her sister found another clause in it they can put the money in escrow and if not one offers more they will own the building but she says the price of the building is two hundred fifty thousand at most they still need forty eight thousand. They say well give you that as a bonus tone a live in nanny to Dareo he wants to see you again we will also pay you a salary you can work here when he's at pre school an if you need to do a special order you can call. In Shelly.There are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted til the very last page.will or a fall in love with Sebastian, Riggs,An Wayle drewWill they fall for her? When danger gets too close to the sisters an the law won't do anything they hired guards.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

What’s an absolutely fantastic story! I couldn’t put it down from the moment I started reading. I absolutely loved this story and the hint of danger that is involved in the storyline. Cora and her sister Eva own a bakery, and they soon discover that their landlord is utilising a clause in the contract and kicking them out of the shop. They have two months to find another place, or to fight their landlord. they had no idea that utilising a clause in the contract that they were in for a heck of a fight where they were in danger. Cora meanwhile is dealing with her new men, who are determined to help her, and her sister win against their landlord. Cora has no idea what she used to do and is dealing with a surprise pregnancy and the the life she wants with Sebastian, Riggs and Waylan and their soon to be son Dario. There is a happy ending for these wonderful people and justice is served.

I picked this book because I'd read her prior Claimed by the Bratva Brothers. Unfortunately, this one fell short. The arc wasn't fleshed out nor were the characters. There were many parts that could have been edited better to make the story flow. Cora and her sister are owners of a family bakery. Cora meets the boys at the Christmas fair. The old adage of if it weren't for bad luck you'd have no luck at all kept playing in my head. The author was trying for a Christmas story but simply tried too much to draw it out. Sebastian, Riggs, and Waylan are incredibly caring men, but when there protective instincts kick in because a woman they have an instant connection with, Cora, it turns out to be quite the adversity they have to conquer to be together. Cora and her sister Eva own a bakery, but not the building and their landlord is trying to sell the building and kick them out. Cora's men help her fight against that, but it certainly was not easy. This book was exciting and steamy. A great combination for a wonderful book.

This story tells of a young woman and three men

She was at a country fair selling came and pies only to here a young boy making a fuss about seeing santers work shop,unknowing to the three men and younger she offers an opportunity for the guy's by saying that she would look after him they could get to their meeting and come back when they were done,thy asked if she was ok with this she said ok and see them later but the younger want santa told him that he could have a cookie and he cheered up.I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm that loves to read.

Cora, Sebastian, Waylan and Riggs made such a cute couple. I loved this book from the beginning it had so much spice and the chemistry was undeniable. It made me want a relationship like that. This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, there was bulling, vandalism, kidnapping, threats, and it kept you wanting to know how it ends. The HEA was well deserved after everything they went through but seeing the guys protective was amazing.

Cora is upset when the building owner where her bakery is decides to sell the building and she needs to come up with a lot of money! Luckily three gorgeous men Riggs, Sebastian and Waylan come to her rescue with a plan for her to move in with them and be their nanny! They are going to show her that they belong together as a family! Can they find their happily ever after? Great book that I would highly recommend!.

I’m not sure

I really wanted to like this story but it was a hard read. Cora and the guys had no interaction besides in bed, no one on one time. No getting to know one another. The drama was a little drug out. Why didn’t the sisters just wait until last minute to send the escrow money in? How believable is it that mere strangers would pay a live in nanny fifty grand as a sign on bonus for a couple months of work? All in all, looking back, I wish I would’ve saved my time reading something else

I really enjoyed this. It's interesting that all things weren't resolved before Christmas as in typical holiday stories - life's problems rarely disappear just because it's the most wonderful time of the year.

The only thing I was missing was how Dario came to be with them and why only Waylon was "daddy." More details would have been nice.

This is a book from the Lucky Lady Reverse Harems series. All can be read as standalones. Cora and her sister find themselves with lots of landlord trouble and meet three sexy ex-military guys who offer to help. There is some danger along with the mob stuck in there. Great holiday read. Would definitely read more from this author.

This story was all over the place....

Coral was frustrating with all of her - it's too much to tell them, I don't know, blah blah. There was never any mention of birth control, so I wonder why nobody thought ..crap we are going to get pregnant! Eva was my favorite e character in this story.
The feelings were equally as complex... fear, angst, sadness, joy (especially when Eva lost it on St. James). Good storyline, little inconsistencies.

I really had to check and see if I read the same book as everyone else. It had numerous opportunities for potential that I believe was missed in the writing. The characters were not developed enough to really help me connect. It really could have used more development for the length of the book I just expected more.

When Cora and Eva do everything they can to save the family bakery, poor Cora gets put through the ringer by not only St James and Hamilton but the towns people who they thought were friends and loyal customers.

Of course with the help of Cora’s men things work out in the end with a funny ending.

Kai Lesy is one of my favorite authors and as soon as I saw her name on this book, I knew I had to read it. I could not put it down. Take 3 friends, one woman and a foster son and you have a reverse harem and a family. This is definitely a book to be added to the TBR pile. It even comes with a happy ending.

So the plot in this book was really good. I mean I finished the book in one sitting. My lower rating was because of some plot points like timing consistency being off and Dario acts WAY too grown for being 4. These things aside I would definitely recommend this book if you can look past them.
