I’ll be honest, I downloaded this purely based on the cover (not the one showing here lol) without even reading the blurb, and really enjoyed this! It was smutty, fast paced, with a dash of drama, and was all around a good time!

This was such a breath of fresh air for me! Chloe Graves has become one of my go-to authors as I just love her easy writing style and amazing characters. Osen was immediately obsessed with his mate from the moment they met but was conflicted when her past threatened the safety of his clan. I loved Miranda's tenacity and desire to become a better person, and the chemistry between them was immediate and so steamy. There was just the right amount of drama and angst to keep the plot moving and me reading. I loved this introduction to a new series by Chloe and cannot wait for book 2🖤

An entertaining, short story

I liked this one. Although it was a short story, it was utmost satisfying. It had it all; a witch in hiding, a huge, protective Orc Chief with a heart of gold, a dating app, a hilarious cat/familiar, a healthy dose of scheming to keep things interesting and a magnetic bond between our main MCs that leaves no room to question. I liked Osen a lot. Fierce, protective, progressive – he wants to do right by his people and always has their best interest at heart. Miranda also has a heart of gold. She is on the run from her past; she was misguided to use black magic, she run away and now her former coven is after her. When they meet, sparks fly. Osen understands immediately that she is his fated mate and has no intention of letting her go. Great plot and character building, despite the short size. 4 stars.

This was a fab one-sit read for me and an exciting series opener. I loved seeing Miranda and Osen come together. These two were fire! Yet both have trauma/tragedy in their pasts and they don't escape revisiting it :( I was on the edge of my seat wondering how everything would pan out for these two and if they'd actually get their HEA. Be ready to root hard for this wonderful couple and I have to say, I'm so looking forward to the next book to see who gets their happy ending, as well. I loved many of the side characters so the author has a few to chose from to keep this reader happy ;P Good fun!

When Miranda came to Silvermist hiding from her previous coven she never expected to find love and a home. Orsen never expected to find his mate from a date from a dating app but as soon as he saw Miranda the mate bond clicked. What follows is a heartwarming story of an orc chief protecting his witch while trying to settle a broken clan. I love monster romances and highly recommend this one. If you are looking for fated mates, spice, and a HEA look no further. Orc romances are starting to become my favorite in monster romances! I can’t wait to read the next book in the Silvermist series!.

A steamy paranormal with fated mates that are a witch and orc. A surprising depth of world building and character building for not only the main but the supporting characters for such a short book. Devoured this I'm a single evening. Both MC are likeable and fun. The plenty of romance and stream built in to a surprisingly deep plot.

I'm adding the next book to my TBR and this author to my list as well.

Osen is an Orc chieftain who wants his mate but hasn't met her yet. He decides to use the dating app MythMatch. Little does he know that Miranda feels the same way he does, and she uses the same app. Their chemistry is terrific, and Osen knows Miranda is his fated mate when they meet. This is an excellent book—it is incredibly intense. I loved it from the beginning to the end. It's a fantastic book!

This is a very short fast read.

Miranda had a bad experience with her coven and left. She keeps moving to stay away from them. But then she opens up because she’s lonely. In enters Osen. An orc with his own hurt. Which turns out to be bigger than even I was thinking.

The clan doesn't welcome them at first due to a festering coup. I'm glad the lead of this coup is revealed and he pays for his crimes. Osen and Miranda mate and are happy.

Great read

Enjoyed reading this, a short story for me, but great if you want something to read from start to finish in the allotted time given. A Witch and an Orc Chief, love at first sight, mates and the usual baddies that try to intervene. Very well written and great storyline. In to book 2 to see how the brother fairs.

This is such a fun and entertaining read. I love the chemistry between Orsen and Miranda. Their banter if adorable and you feel the connection building. Their sex scenes are steamy. It’s fast paced but so much happens. Excellent escape read after a stressful day at work! I’ve found a new author crush.

Bewitching!

Oswn and Miranda meet through a dating app and he immediately knows she's his mate and she feels the same connection between them. But, she's a former dark witch with her old coven looking for her and he's the new orc chief and some are set in the old ways and make things bad for the couple. Great story.

This is a really funny and steamy romance. Miranda's strengths (and her snort laugh) makes Osen want to claim her stronger. Osen knows Miranda is his mate and once he finds out she has dark magic that she ran away from, he doesn't turn her away. Plus, she saved his brother and helped get rid of the evil shaman. There's danger and humor with a happy ending for them.

This is a short, very good, well written, Orc/Human Witch romance. Miranda is running from her past and the dark witches she had trained with. She did not want to do dark magic. Osen recently lost his father and became his clan’s chief. Both tried an app and now are meeting. Read what happens when they go to his home and dark forces move against them.

Well written. I'm not sure if you'd label this novella length or a short novel? It wasn't too short but it was a quick read with minimal relationship or world building due to the condensed style. So, a bit of both I suppose.

This was very cute. Had a little of every between found family, fated mates, redemption, good guys beating the bad guys etc. It was a bit steamy and while not heavy handed on the world around the characters and the world they lived in it was enough to create an idea in my mind, which was plenty.

I actually would have preferred a longer story to really flesh out all the little issues and their relationship but that's just me. I liked it, and I plan to check out the rest of the series.

It was cute and had sorta feel good vibes. Easy and predictable but sometimes that's what you need in the hellscape we live in.
