This was cute! I liked it better than the first. My first time reading about a goat shifter lol. And I love how Merihem took his time with Peni and let him set the pace on the sexual side of things.

Peni is a very small shifter. This Book is soooo FANTASTIC. JP SAYLE and Lisa Oliver craft a FANTASTIC journey through the Demon and Shifter realms. Un démon qui punit les malfaiteurs. Une chèvre méticuleuse. Qu'ont-ils en commun ? Eh bien, bien sûr, rien. Sauf que le destin a d'autres idées en tête.
Lorsque son ami Dakata a besoin d'aide, Merihem, le « contrôleur » du royaume des démons et des humains, fonce tête baissée sans réfléchir aux conséquences. Pour ses ennuis, il est envoyé dans le royaume des humains et contraint de prendre le contrôle de l'entreprise de Dakata et de sa maison, tout en essayant de trouver comment revenir dans les bonnes grâces du roi.
Lorsqu'il rencontre une petite chèvre excitée - sa « bienheureuse » - sa vie devient vraiment intéressante.
Peni a quitté sa maison et s'est trouvé un travail de nettoyage, où son seul sanctuaire est au sous-sol. Jusqu'à ce qu'un très grand démon nu envahisse son lieu de travail, affirmant que Peni et lui sont des « bienheureux ». Ouais, bien sûr. Sauf que maintenant, sa moitié de chèvre fait des siennes, la vraie gouvernante est en colère contre lui, et il ne sait pas comment faire comprendre à son envahisseur géant que lorsque l'un d'eux est minuscule, la taille compte vraiment.
Et puis il y a le petit désagrément que quelqu'un essaie de leur faire du mal.
S'ils peuvent survivre à tout ça, alors peut-être, peut-être, l'univers a-t-il raison après tout.

L'endroit était minimaliste et un peu trop stérile au goût de Merihem, mais un démon chassé ne pouvait pas être trop exigeant. Suivant le bruit – car en aucun cas on ne pouvait appeler cela du chant – Merihem s'arrêta sur le pas de la porte de la cuisine.
Son démon se redressa brusquement devant le petit cul, se balançant d'un côté à l'autre avant de se dandiner un peu tandis que le type qui frottait au comptoir massacrait la chanson que Merihem ne parvenait pas à identifier. Des écouteurs antibruit expliquaient pourquoi le gars continuait à chanter faux, inconscient de son public.
Amusé malgré son propre énervement, Merihem s'appuya contre le chambranle de la porte, essayant de se rappeler si Dakata avait mentionné qu'il avait remplacé sa dernière femme de ménage. La femme d'une cinquantaine d'années, qui lançait toujours un regard noir à Merihem quand il était nu, contrastait nettement avec la petite mignonnerie devant lui. Et d'accord, Merihem ne pouvait pasIl ne pouvait pas voir son visage, mais il pouvait faire des dégâts au cul dans son jean tagué. Ce n'était pas comme s'il avait besoin de voir le visage de ce cul sexy alors que tout ce qu'il faisait était de baiser cette pêche avant de s'endormir. La plupart des gens avaient le bon sens de partir avant qu'il ne se réveille.
Il claqua des doigts – c'était définitivement le moment d'utiliser ses pouvoirs – et ses vêtements disparurent au même moment où son cul chaud se retourna. Quelque part dans l'esprit de Merihem, pendant la fraction de seconde où il enregistra, le puissant impact de leurs regards croisés, qui fut suivi d'une énorme dose de malaise.
Le cri qui déchira l'air était si fort qu'il aurait pu faire éclater les tympans de Merihem. Les yeux d'un bleu pâle s'écarquillèrent d'horreur alors qu'ils balayaient le corps nu de Merihem.
Pas vraiment la réaction qu’il espérait !
Le démon de Merihem hurla en lui. Avant qu'il ne puisse comprendre ce qui se passait, il était déjà sous sa forme démoniaque, poursuivant une chèvre naine dans la cuisine. « À moi », grogna son démon en lui tendant les mains.
Les entrailles de Merihem semblaient se tisser alors qu'il essayait de faire quelque chose, n'importe quoi pour empêcher son démon de s'emparer de la chèvre. Ne la touche pas.
"Le mien."
Je t'ai bien entendu. Mais réfléchis-y...
La panique frappait Merihem, même avec son démon qui le poursuivait.
La tête de la chèvre, qui avait réussi d'une manière ou d'une autre à leur échapper lors de la course-poursuite autour de la grande allée centrale de la cuisine, heurta l'arrière du mollet inférieur de Merihem avec suffisamment de force pour que le choc les fasse tomber de plus de seize pieds.
Il atterrit sur le dos avec une telle violence que ses os s'entrechoquèrent. Essoufflé, essoufflé et totalement incapable de comprendre comment la plus petite chèvre blanche pouvait le faire tomber, Merihem n'était pas préparé au prochain mouvement de la chèvre.
Une tache de fourrure blanche attira son attention lorsque la chèvre tourna sur ses quatre petites pattes entre les siennes et leva ses pattes arrière pour viser ses sabots directement sur leurs noix.
C'est quoi ce bordel !
Ses mains descendirent juste au moment où les sabots se touchèrent, et il hurla tandis que la chèvre bêlait follement avant de se précipiter hors de la cuisine.
Abasourdie, les testicules douloureux, Merihem gisait sur le sol, les yeux fixés sur le plafond, luttant pour respirer.
Putain, qui vient de nous donner un coup de pied dans les couilles ?
OMS?
Son démon a eu l'audace de rire. Vous savez qui !

This is book 2 in the Obsessions series, and you should probably read book 1, Demon's Obsession before this one. It sets the scene as to why Merihem is banished to Earth, but also tells how RARE the Blissful Ones are. And you know, it's bloody good!
Now, this is IS good, but it doesn't quite hit the spot that Demon's did and I've no idea why! *insert wailing!*
What I DID like about it, though, was the beautiful way that Merihem, quite literally, flipped on a Peni (oooh see what I did there!), and was devoted to Peni, from that very first meeting, even if the goat kicked him in the nuts!
Merihem takes his pleasure when and where he wants to, but meeting Peni? No one else will do. Once Peni bites Merihem, and he can hear Peni's thoughts and, more importantly, his GOAT'S thoughts, Merihem is able to modify his behaviour to suit Peni, even if he wants to do all sorts of dirty things to his little pygmy mate!
I found it relatively low angst, and so flipping cute, and low on the steam factor. It suits THIS book that it is written that way, given Peni's past and his aversion to full on smex. The smexy times that are here, are wonderfully written, and absolutely perfect for these two.
I loved that we caught up with Dakata and Silas, and their news! We get a bit of Wanda's book, who is Silas' sister and of Scott's book, who is Dakata's assistant. I was surprised at the route that Wanda's book takes, and I look forward to seeing how Sayle and Oliver deal with that, given they write MM rather than FF books!
A thoroughly delightful addition to the series, I really did enjoy it!

Merihem (demon) and Peni (pygmy goat) story was sweet and hilarious with a dash of danger.
They were sweet together and so entertaining in the beginning stages when trust and communication were in their incipient stages.
I liked how their relationship progressed and bloomed, how they learned to be brave and truthful, and how their life becomes better and the future brighter.
I took a liking to some side characters and I’m hoping for them to find their match.

I loved it. Merihem is sent to the human realm as he helped Dakata with Silas. Living in Dakata’s house, he smells his blissful one. Merihem is a demon and Peni is a Pygmy goat. As they get closer, Peni’s goat mated with Merihem. I loved the world building, great chemistry between them. I loved how Merihem didn’t push Peni for more and worked at his own pace. I cannot wait to read more in this world.

This was such a great story! Peni and Meri were awesome! They were quite funny at times but they were definitely just the sweetest! I loved watching their relationship evolve. This book kept me captivated from beginning to end! Very enjoyable and I highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

Meriham and Peni are absolutely cute. I didn't expect Meri to react this way from the beginning but it makes him more loveable. And Peni is such an adorable Pygmy Goat. I like how possesive he is about Meri. Cute book, recommended

After meeting Meri in book 1 I was looking forward to his story. Despite him being a demon, I knew he was one of the good ones. He helped his friend Dakata, even knowing it could lead to consequences for him. He helped because he knew it was the right thing to do, which immediately endeared him to me. I bet he didn't realize that those very real consequences would lead to him meeting his Blissful One!
Peni is quite the pigmy goat shifter despite his tiny size. He's a hard worker and he isn't going to let anyone push him around, including a giant naked demon who claims they are meant to be. Their meet-cute was quite funny and I also enjoyed the few other shenanigans Peni's goat got him into as well. It seemed Peni the person may not be ready for a demon mate, but his goat was fully on board.
I loved that Peni and Silas started their own friendship after meeting. I think Silas was a great person for him to meet because he is the only one who knows what it means to be a demon's blissful one. He could give Peni insight no one else could. Sometimes you just need an outside perspective to help you see what you already know.
Another more shocking friendship Peni began was with Meri's boss. Yes, you read that correctly. I thought it was rather sweet, but I am not so sure Meri agreed. Actually, I'm pretty sure Meri was more worried than happy about their blossoming friendship. Fortunately for Peni, Meri wants nothing more than for his mate to be happy so he doesn't put up too much of a fuss. I'm hoping that the big boss will have his own story at some point and maybe we will get to see more of his friendship with Peni in the future!
